He looks down at the ground when he reaches the forest, trying to spot some tracks. "Hey Rex... You smell or see anything... Let me know." He murmurs softly, continuing to look for tracks.
He grins and follows behind Rex. He should have just taken the wolf along with him the first time he came here!
He reaches for his spear, before grimacing when he remembers it's been bent. It was basically useless at this point. But technically... It was still a weapon.
He starts circling around the bird, patting Rex's head to make him stay in one spot. He circles till he's directly opposite Rex, before he leaps up and throws the spear at the bird, hoping Rex would attack as well.
He laughs as Rex brings it down. "Good job, bud! Go ahead and eat. You deserve it!" He says, grinning.

It's hardly nasty to him, so he merely watches Rex eat for a while, before looking around the place.
The two headed hound tears into its food happily, tail leg wagging as he goes. By the time he starts to slow down about half that bird creature is already gone. The area around them is a thinly forested zone, trees scattered about with shrugs and bushes to match across the floor.
"Hmm... This area doesn't seem to be very useful..." He murmurs, rubbing his chin, before looking at Rex. "Ya done yet?"
Deciding not to waste the food, he picks up the bird and starts walking back to the settlement while making idle chatter with Rex.

He reaches the colony, and then yells out "FOOD'S HERE!" Loudly, before setting the meat down on the ground and starting to carve it up.

"Well, half of it was eaten by this mutt, but sure. Let's call it that." He says, chuckling and handing the meat to him.
"No, he didn't. There wasn't much left to go around after feeding everyone." He murmurs, continuing to carve up the turkey thing. A small part in the back of his mind reminded him that this thing used to be human, but... Frankly... He just didn't care right now. Food was food.

"Yeah. That's another problem. No water." He mutters, his throat suddenly feeling a little dry at the realisation. "Problem is, I didn't see any sources of water on the way in, so... We're kinds screwed on that front."
