Splendid work that is. As salacious as it may be, I feel compelled to respond with this.
These Kitsunes don't like anything but straight marriage huh. First Miko's pregnancy and needing to find a husband and now Rindo.. my hopes are slowly being dashed.Thats the million dollar question and source of this thread's latest activity.
They're coming from a sort of feudal(?) Japan country, what'd you expect? A porn game to make everyone okay with everyone marrying who they want, when they wanted to for whatever reason? These Kitsunes don't like anything but straight marriage huh. It's just a let down that's all. I like Miko and Rindo but the former is just a one off (her pregnancy) and it would suck if after interacting so much with Rindo that she goes off with one of the dudes. (Sorry can't remember their names). Ah well maybe we will get more floof wives from the other Kitsunes or maybe new ones (who knows). They're coming from a sort of feudal(?) But personally, if this is being made as a sort of "Kinu got this one, so Rindo gets the other one," can't see myself doing anything other than Hime Kinu ever because Rindo deserves someone big, strong, capable and nice and not someone that uptight and absurdly set on fitting his station.
They're from a highly traditional country and they're a small outpost. Not having kids is very counterproductive in both cases. These Kitsunes don't like anything but straight marriage huh. First Miko's pregnancy and needing to find a husband and now Rindo.. my hopes are slowly being dashed.
Even in a traditional country it's not impossible to find gay/lesbian folk.. I suppose like in RL they would keep it silent out of fear. Anyway what about herms? Or male PCs then.. why can't Rindo or Miko marry a male or herm PC? They still can have kids that way. They're from a highly traditional country and they're a small outpost. You're an outsider and a barbarian to their people - even if they got to know you, why would they let anyone marry you, or you them?Anyway what about herms? Or male PCs then.. why can't Rindo or Miko marry a male or herm PC? They still can have kids that way.
Which is why I haven't really touched Kitsune content, not interested in impreg/preg and traditional marriage. And my PC doesn't want any lil' brats. The aesthetic is appealing, though! These Kitsunes don't like anything but straight marriage huh. First Miko's pregnancy and needing to find a husband and now Rindo.. my hopes are slowly being dashed.

What's the point in being Keros champion if the floofers see us as outsiders. Our status would be higher than most if not all the male Kitsunes so why wouldn't the lady floofs want the male/herm PC instead? You're an outsider and a barbarian to their people - even if they got to know you, why would they let anyone marry you, or you them?
Ah yes but we didn't have much choice in the matter. If it meant my PC got to marry Miko instead of knocking her up I would of chose that.I believe it's been said that current (long, long-term) plans are that you will have a choice between setting Rindo up with an available fella or, for lack of a better phrase, keeping her for yourself. Keros is said to have taken twelve concubines, I'm sure we can take one. It just can't start with us causingThere's a proper way of doing such things.an accidental pregnancy and bringing shame to a distinguished member of the religious hierarchy.
an accidental pregnancy and bringing shame to a distinguished member of the religious hierarchy.
We know that Miko is the faildaughter of Komari's line and was way out of the running to be Komari's heir even before the incident. But to most of the clan, she's a high-ranking religious official highly capable in the kitsune mystical arts who communes directly with Keros himself. Petitioners come from far and wide to seek out her abilities. And then the barbarian maybe turned champion of Keros just rolls up like sure would be a shame if someone ruined Komari's decades of hard work trying to teach Miko some semblance of restraint and self-control. And bring shame to Miko's name. And damn near die in the process.Distinguished? Miko? The same Miko who stole a magical bag of sex toys and left some leaves as compensation? The one who I'm convinced is a terrible influence on and is fucking Aya? That Miko? I'm assuming you're talking about Miko. I'm not sure how she's distinguished however and am surprised an accidental pregnancy didn't happen sooner.
Also we need more red hair kitsune to knock up. And the ability to give Miko nine tails too.

It's a big cultural thing among the kitsune that uncontrolled population growth is Not Good. Especially when as a kitsune they should have the ability to decide whether to get pregnant or not without relying on measures like Brown Leaf.Well Komari sucks at teaching self control then. And her getting knocked up doesn't diminish her skills as a priestess. With how much sex the sisters have, I think everyone would be shocked if they didn't have at least one oopsie baby between them.
I always got the impression that everyone knew she was disaster but still respected her abilities and position in spite of it since she's proven to be great at it. I haven't seen the pregnancy scenes yet so I can only speculate. But I assume Komari is pissed because it's a reminder of her slutty granddaughter, who she's already disappointed in, experiencing what she no longer can. Otherwise, I think Komari would either never allow us back or would've forced some brown leaf down her to prevent this situation.

And there's also the matter of Miko's curse as part of the Komari bloodline.
Kiyoko falls under the Den Mother exemption, she's one of twelve lines said to be descended from Keros, the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter of the eldest so on and so forth, and has a biological and divine imperative to give birth as many times as possible. Then they need to have an intervention for Kiyoko, and fast.
And if their god says it's okay, then it's okay. Divine mandate and all that jazz. And who are we to deny Kiyoko's fetish of watching us dick down other kitsune?
I thought the sisters' issue was that their magical psychic powers were too strong and couldn't be fully turned off, causing severe overstimulation. And Hitoshi seems like a pretty normal dude with no social skills and Nakano is just desperately trying to gain recognition as a true samurai. They don't seem to be cursed to me at least.
Nakano burns with the fanaticism of a thousand suns.

Regarding the curse, it's been hinted at during the game but the pregnancy arc is the first time it's openly acknowledged. Miko and Mai have six senses in a brain meant for five so they're just all kinds of fucked up all the time. Hitoshi is incapable of broadening his scope outside of agricultural matters and his public face is so thick everyone thinks he's a dullard. Nakano burns with the fanaticism of a thousand suns. And part of Komari's anger/sadness is worrying exactly what the curse will be on her latest descendants cursed by her inability to protect her liege during the Godswar.
Wait a minute...Kiyoko falls under the Den Mother exemption, she's one of twelve lines said to be descended from Keros, the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter of the eldest so on and so forth
Is it appropriate to curse your ancestors if they did some shit like that and fucked you over a century later?A little background:
Generational things are what they are, stemming from a family of cultures that sees people as not so much individuals than as families, clans and lineages. Plenty of facets of life reflected that -- generational shame and honor, punishment for crimes being enacted not just against the individual but their families as well, etc, etc. You share their blessings, but on the flip side you also share their curses.
Being fucked over by something your ancestors did centuries ago and which you had absolutely no part of is bread and butter for oriental mythology. Mythological entities attach themselves less to individual people, but rather households and families. It leaks into the wider culture to the point where "an idiot walks into an abandoned shrine and finds a yokai who loves him because it used to love his grandfather" is a hentai trope. Your great-great-great-great-great grandfather gets cursed by a cultivator from an evil sect for slighting him, and so you're fucked over a thousand years later. It's just the way things are, and a reminder that your actions by necessity extend beyond yourself.
Kiyoko agrees with you (if I have interpreted her correctly)Also, when you gonna let us get concubines? You did great with the Miko pregnancy content. All I need now is to lessen the shame and make the relationship official.
