Ugh I'm desperate so I made an account just to ask his.

I got myself trapped in the Uveto deepsea quest. When I entered, I thought I should save the game in a new file. I wasn't paying attention, though, and ended up overriding my main file instead. There's absolutely no way to defeat Janeria, and it doesn't help that the wiki has no information whatsoever on her ¬¬. So all my progress is essentially lost in this damn save.

I have the TitsEd, but I don't really know how I should gear up my character to defeat her. I'd love some suggestions.

Electricity heals it, so Do Not bring electric weapons or use electric tech skills

What's your class and level? What are your perks?

In general, the Janeria is weak to Burning and Freezing and absorbs Electric.

If you have good Physique (25+) and Second Attack, the FZR Fire Suppression System + (Masterwork) Yappi Strap should make short work of it. Shoot it once to inflict Deep Freeze, then hit it with your Yappi Strap.

Yeah that's why I got screwed and said it's impossible to beat her. All my stuff is electrified XD.

I'm a level 8 Tech Specialist with 22 physique, no second attack either. Soooo yikes.
Burning works even though it's underwater then? Good to know.

It might work anyway. The combo is slightly overpowered. You could always save edit Second Attack, then remove it after.

Did you go Attack Drone or Shield Booster? Attack Drone can pick up a Laser drone after Typhon.

I'm guessing you went for Overcharge, if you didn't take Second Attack.

Attack drone, and yeah I tried doing that, but it corrupted the edited file.

Adding, then removing Second Attack corrupted the file, you mean?

You could try increasing your Physique to 40.
Give yourself the Apollo Rifle? If you went Overcharge.

Remember you can have your drone not attack, if you're not using the Laser Drone.

Again, what perks do you have and what are your stats? That will help us tell you what you can do with minimum editing.

    Here and here.

I managed to change to second attack and I'm trying the FZR + Yappi combo, so far I haven't made a scratch on her.

You are getting Deep Freeze before attacking, right? The snowflake icon? It might take a few tries, but it should have a 50% chance of occurring with each shot.

Thermal Disruptor should be doing 77 * Vulnerability damage. (20 + level*4 + Int Burning)

As an aside, that stat spread isn't great. I'd recommend hitting the Ten Ton Gym and/or training with Ramis or Mirrin once you get a suit of Augment-Weave armor from Zheng Shi.

I'm aware. I always suck when it comes to strategizing stats in any game ¬¬. I just do whatever necessary to get the next point, with lots of try and error.
Regardless I'm not going anywhere close to ZhengShi anytime soon, specially in my current situation.
And yeah I'm getting the deep freeze.

You might try to put a Light Jetpack in your Accessory slot to negate the Armored Akkadi Depthsuit's Evasion penalty (you take more damage if net Evasion is below 0). Just tell your Drone to Withdraw via the Specials menu.

Shield Booster Mk 2 (1/fight) and Healing Poultice in your inventory would give you a little more survivability.

As a last resort it might be possible to move yourself to a different location. I don't know if the current Editor can reset the quest flags, though. I know it can for others, but the Editor is dependent on the Public Source Code which hasn't been updated in a while.

Do you want some advice on Stat distribution?

My main issue is that even though I maxed out my stats and Deep Freeze, Janeria keeps shaving off my shield and health bar in, like-3 strikes, with those infuriating endless coiled/stunned loops in between.
But thank god, I actually just had a lucky round in which Janeria literally missed every attack, so I finally won. Thanks so much for the suggestions. I actually used to play this game around 2 years ago, and gave up after an extremely similar issue where I lost an insane amount of progress(II played on google chrome and cleared all my browser history). It would drive me nuts if I lost my game again XD.

And sure, advice is always welcome! My notion of stats distribution mostly sucks because anything with numbers tends to shut my brain down.

That's why I use the Save to File option and keep lots of backups. You can rename the saves to make it easier to remember what you were doing at the time. It also means I can go back and test pretty much anything, which comes in handy.

Generally, I've found it best to max your main Attack stat (Physique/Aim, Intelligence if using Charge Weapon).
It is generally advised to pick Melee or Ranged and stick to it. Mixing tends to create underpowered characters.

As a Tech Specialist, you will get some function of Intelligence to: Paralyzing Shock Paralysis chance, Damage (Charge Weapon)/Stun chance (Overcharge), Drone Damage, Shield Defense, Accuracy. Most of your specials also factor in Intelligence.
You get 1/2 Physique as bonus damage to Melee attacks. Likewise Aim to Ranged.
I've found Charge Weapon makes it possible to completely ignore Physique until getting to Zheng Shi (for Augment-Weave), but that was before the Janeria fight was added.
Willpower is not required, strictly speaking, although it is the only major source of Lust defense.
I'm still not sure of the primary function of Reflexes. You can avoid some attacks and the Mines on Myrellion with it. Personally, I see training "Stamina" with Ramis as training Willpower, with Reflexes as a nice benefit.

There are two ways to increase stats:
    1. Points you get when you level up (13/level). This is enough to keep 2 stats maxed and 1 reasonably high, which what I suspect the devs expected players to do.
    2. Slow Stat Gain. Stat Gain by Source.

You do not have to spend your level up points immediately. Slow Stat Gain has diminishing returns as you reach the stat cap, but level up points do not. If you want to max your stats, you are best off using Slow Stat gain early and using you level points later. When you should switch to level up depends on how many stats you're raising and with which methods.
For best results, do not put Affinity in a stat you will raise exclusively with level points. It increases the effectiveness of Slow Stat Gain.

Training at the Ten Ton Gym, with Ramis or Mirrin causes Soreness buildup. The fastest real time way to clear Soreness is probably to Rest for 4 hours. In-game, the fastest way to clear it is eating at the Bucking Bronco Saloon (Four hours rest in 25 minutes). I've gone from 3 Physique to 25 in 24 hours this way with Physique Affinity at level 7 (so long as I avoid the random spectator scenes). Augment-Weave doubles Soreness recovery, making the process much more efficient.

Have you visited the class pages on the Wiki recently? The formulas for a lot of the abilities were added.

Glad you made it out. Janeria was designed to be a tough fight. People should not enter the lab until they are ready. Also listen to Dr Lassau's advice.

Oh definitely, I was just really not paying attention yesterday XD. I was a bit sleepy and mostly skipping through dialogue. I got curious and thought ''eh I will use a separate save file and just take a look'', then got trapped.
