That's pretty much exactly the point I was trying to make with her at the time, yes (and one of the reasons I'm not very fond of Embry). As a teen, Kaede just saved up enough money to go to her local TamaniCorp/JoyCo shop and chug pills until she got the body she wanted. Either the particular combination of drugs she took (Estrobloom+, mostly) didn't happen to give her a vagina, or she just opted not to pursue treatment further. After all, when your mom's a dickgirl bombshell and you live in a society where dickgirls are pretty darn common (and desirable), I don't know that Kaede would have felt too strongly about changing her genital set-up.

It depends purely on what physical sensations she'd want to experience, and to a lesser extent whether she'd prefer siring or bearing children.  But even if Kaede would at some point like to be a mother, it's just a pill away to swith from shemale to full hermaphrodite, and then another to switch back later after pregnancy if she finds she doesn't like the pussy.

I personally prefer girls with both sets of equipment over cock-only shemales, since I do like me some vaginal sex (kind of why I'm disappointed so many shemales in this game don't have vaginas), but a big advantage of the setting is that it's so easy for someone to change their mind or take a new body type for a test drive.

*cough* Emmata *cough*.

Emmy's hangups seem to be about transformations that aren't chick-with-dick related.  Emmy wanted to go full jackal, creating a million clones of Spider-Man and all, and apparently ausar are much less comfortable with that than humans.

I wasn't arguing that Emmy has problems related to her being a herm, just that it's possible to offend her with a wrong choice of words, contrary to what noobsaleh said.

I think the whole point of Embry was pandering to the fetish of traps and helping someone achieve their preferred form.  Since the game has easy to get transformation, her race's resistance was invented to justify why she couldn't just hop over to the drug store with a week's savings and change immediately.  I think it's fine to have both of them in the game, since they appeal to different people.

Anyway back to traps, since Del doesn't cover the trap fetish, but forced feminization, then should a new character be the answer? Iwas thinking something more dominant as a male. This is probably one of the weirdest to find fetishes, regarding porn, but I do think aditional thought should be given to having a more sexualy active male that doesn't strive to be a girl, just girly enough with his body, but doesn't mind using his dick and ass to get his own pleasure. The trope is common enough in doujins, and there's certainly no lack of it already made, but finding Del then realizing I had to be like him... well it certainly wasn't the thing I would expect with a trap.

It would be great to see a more active trap, perhaps now a new character, that as first just looks like a cute guy, but likes to crossdress, should have no problem with using throbb, or dealing with been both on the receiving and giving end, yet been much more active and dominant about the whole process. Bisexual or not, it's a less important matter, the thing that should define him is actually liking who he is and not wanting to change. He is perfectly fine with been looked like as a boy that likes to dress as a girl, and wouldn't mind fucking an ass or two to prove that point.

It's just that the submissive small dicked almost slave of a guy turned into a girl is a much more common trope, which I find disturbing.

Someone like the main character of this manga? Outside of being as fond of giving as he is of receiving, he seems to tick all the boxes.

>_> ... ... ... ...  Wrooooong.

First, Embry is not a trap. She's a MtF Transgirl. Big difference.

Secondly, she's not pandering to a fetish, or if she is, that's not the intent. I wanted to write a character in-game to boost the self esteem of a friend, who just so happened to be trans, to show her how much love there is potentially out there for her. She just so happens to be trans, and I just happen to write stuff for a sex game. I'd like to think the reason everyone finds Embry so moving is because she's based on a real person. Making the simii as they were was important to generate a similar struggle to transitioning—one that is impossible to convey in the TiTs universe otherwise.

If people are fetishizing a trans person, that's their business, and something that happens in real life and is actually, from what I hear, quite annoying. No. She happens to be trans, and that's not a gimmick, that's just part of who she is. If you want to find a gimick, it's the short skirts, bisexuality, and clumsiness, not the fact that she's trans. Those are gimmicks. All the other stuff is just cute shit that the person I based her on does.

Whoa, hold on there. Embry is a character, not a person.  You're kinda digging into my comment far harder than I think you should be, I'm not going to go around calling people shemales or traps.  Trap is just a way to describe her body type when the game starts. We both agree that the whole point is to help her change, though I didn't know there was a deeper reason for writing her.

If she isn't in there to be someone that people are going to be sexually interested in, isn't she in the wrong game?

Ask Ted about Aurora sometime.

Jim's said basically everything I wanted to say, and with far less capslock than I would have used.

I removed that from my message because I realized it wasn't a very kind thing to say, but I guess you'd already replied to it.

I try to write them like people. I feel it makes them more realistic, and far more satisfying to sleep with, romance, or befriend.

I find the opposite approach—seeing them just as objects—tends to end up with a rather disturbingly disconnected experience.

Anyway. I just chimed up to say that you were wrong in your assumptions about her purpose, including the assumption that she's there to help transition and be TheBigHeroTM. While that's currently a big part of her character arc, the far more important part is to get to know her. If that was all there was to Embry, I could never write an X-pack, because her so-called 'fetish-fuel' would already be 'spent'.

If anything—get this—you guys are fulfilling Embry's shining knight fantasy by coming to save her on a white steed, not the other way around.

I agree that trying to write them as people does help make them feel more natural. I like to try and get into their mind, figure out how they'd respond to a given situation. However, at the end of the day they're still characters, they're part of a story that different people are going to take different things away from and have different interpretations of.

Given how many people want to hug her, I'd say that you succeeded in making someone that people want to know and see more of her story.

Not sure what exactly can make transsexualism it's own fetish, considering how varied every aspect of a person involved may be. But what do I know, anything is fetish fuel nowadays. Anyhow, we can just call all of those character traits and/or tropes, because at the end of the day Embry is a fictional character composed of such things, even if some of those traits are based on your perception of a real person. Tropes aren't bad.

I hope that the end result was to your friend's liking, and that the feedback indeed ended up 'showing her how much love there is potentially out there for her'.

We both agree that the whole point is to help her change, though I didn't know there was a deeper reason for writing her.

Well, for some people the main point could be getting malleable, gullible and utterly submissive (morality) pet. She potentially is THE most vulnerable and ripe-for-abuse character in TiTS, even more so than AI NPCs. I'm glad that you think well enough about this community to stick to your interpretation.

Which is one of the reasons why I don't like Embry yet. Of course, that might change as I play more and see who wins-a nice Steele or the player going all "no, I don't want you to be a girl". But hey, if Embry was created because this and that, well, people seem to like the character, so more power to Jim & the friend.

You always have super obscure reasons for not liking the characters I write. :p

I don't think that "2sugary4me/we have lots of ladies already" is a super obscure reason :p Also, given the vast amount of stuff you create, it's not that I dislike each of your characters. I mean, I really like the vanae and it seems to be you created the first waifubando I might actually like!

Yeah, giving shemale-Del a bigger dick, if that happens at all, would of course be optional. I don't really see the point, to be honest, but I'm not horribly opposed to it.

Because bigger dicks are awesome, duh. She could lay on her back with her legs in the air, asshole open, and suck herself off while she gets drilled.

I find the idea of her laying on her back with her legs in the air, asshole open,  with her little trappy dick flopping around, dribbling pre everywhere while she gets drilled to be way hotter.

It depends upon the experience you're aiming to create. Sex doesn't have to be loving or romantic. Sex with strangers, one-night stands and spontaneous fucking can be very hot. For some, that very disconnect *is* the fetish - see prostitution and rape fantasies. Bothering the PC about an NPC's personality in these scenarios is a mistake.

Pshhh, sounds gay!

Seriously though, different people enjoy different things. I think we just have different fetishes.

While I'm more in agreement with SJ, they're both perfectly valid fantasies. Like I said, I'm open to giving Del a bigger dick when we get around to, like, planet 7 or whenever she shows up next.

More options means more people get what they want.  Thanks to a parser or an alternative paragraph or two and you get the best of both worlds with little effort.  Unless this interferes with the basic premise or the character's story, I think it's a good idea.

Of course. But the game already has a ton of mindless fuckbuddies. :3
