One thing to keep in mind, however, is that a majority of a smuggler's damage will come from aimed shot.

End game in a weavemail coat with an arctic warfare belt and a BLR I beat the Frost Wyrm keeping deflector regen up and spamming overcharge. No buffs used, all stats are 40. Really, it seems like beating him just comes down to luck, because Tail Slap just one shotted my 105 shield points with the AWB, and no amount of deflector regens will help you if he keeps using it. I just kept fleeing, recovering and restarting the fight until I got lucky and he didn't smash my shit in with his tail. In the fight I actually won I ran out of energy by the time his shield was gone and mine was gone too, there was no reason I should've won, but I beat him because I got lucky enough for him not to nuke me.

You're much better off using the Reaper or Joyco Elite shield generators against the Frostwyrm.

Congrats for beating him with the AW belt.  I sorta doubted that was possible.

Are the Flash Googles even worth using? Because they're said to prevent blindness/acuraccy loss, and in the fight against the Frostwyrm, and again, with Amara (stunlock hax b**ch), they failed to prevent blindness.

I'm pretty sure that's a bug. There's probably something missing in the code for checking Flash Goggles. @Jacques00-dono might be able to help.

So I noticed that everyone seems to be using the Smuggler class. Is it possible to beat the Frost wyrm as a Tech Specialist, or should I not even bother trying?

I did beat him with a techie once.

I can´t really remember what I did...But it was partly luck. I really regret not going for volley...Can we upgrade overcharge soon? Make it 250/225% when you´ve got second attack?

Its not just overcharge, the stuns from the other classes also need to be made better to become a viable alternative to blind.

Well I did it, so I'd assume anyone else can since I'm not all that great at combat like some of the others.

I beat it with a tech several times. Really it comes down to bringing enough items to restore energy so you can use the skill which restore your shields, never let it gets to my health.  Then just grind the lizard down with your gun bit by bit.

How is everyone getting to 40 in every stat? is it save editing, or are there ways to raise every stat outside leveling. I know some things like the amazon TF can up Physique, are there others for every stat. Is it luck based, or can u reliably repeat them till max. I wanna join in on the wyrm wacking too!  Thanks in advance!

How is everyone getting to 40 in every stat?

Stat trainers. Gym on New texas for Physique, Aim, Reflexes. Syri on Mhen'ga for Int. And willpower from using lvl-up stat points since none trainer helps rise this stat outside of leveling. Also on Mhen'ga Tanis helping rise aim same as visting space goblins resort on Tarkus for rising physique.

So there goes your way to 40 in each stat. Just be prepred for much time spend on grinding them as the higher stat value the slower gain would be req. more and more time repeated training sessions for each point gained.

Wow thanks for the quick response. Are the numbers available as to which workouts are the most efficient for each stat?

Taking certain methods, though I can't remember exactly how. What I recall is some item takes STR and turns it into AGI, replenishing the STR at a gym. Syri tends to INT by chatting with her. That just leaves AIM and WIL, which can be topped off with leveling.

The most efficient method is:

  1. Use Sky Sap repeatedly, which will increase Reflexes while decreasing Physique, until Reflexes is capped.
  2. Use Horse Pills repeatedly, which will increase Physique while decreasing Intelligence and Willpower.  Try to minimize Willpower loss.
  3. Talk to Syri repeatedly to increase Intelligence.
  4. Train with Tanis until his training stops giving Aim gains, then spend level-up points to max Willpower and Aim.

I tend to save edit stats after a few runs of having done it the long way, though I occasionally do it over if I want to spend a long time on a particular Steele.

Thanks for the detailed help. I have a few questions though, Do horse pills have an associated bad end, like its equivalent  in CoC? How inportant is it to have Physique maxed if I'm running a ranged build?

All help is appreciated. No really,  I'm amazed at the quick, insightful, responses. I would have never guessed that my first encounter with a legitimately helpful forum community would be on a smut site.

Wouldn't it be much easier to just save points and rise the stats you can up to the 90% cap and then dump those points into them? The fights up to Myrellion's bosses are certainly easy enough to power through without allocating most of those points.

No Bad End, just horse-like appearance traits you'd have to get rid of. And the main points of Physique on Ranged focused characters are getting out of grapples (unless they are a Smuggler), resisting some status effects and keeping the options open for fighting against foes that are especially good and dodging ranged.

No.

How inportant is it to have Physique maxed if I'm running a ranged build?

Physique is only important to a ranged character because it affects your chance to escape grapples, and grapples are practically a guaranteed loss if you don't have a good escape chance.  If grapples weren't so overpowered then Physique would be a dump stat for ranged characters.

Reflexes is modestly helpful regardless of character but the advantages aren't that huge.  Oddly enough, defenders have better dodge chance against ranged attacks because they get 33% of their Reflexes against 20% of the attacker's Physique to adjust hitrate rather than 20% of defender Reflexes against 20% of attacker's Aim.  Note that Evasion is calculated as a separate miss chance afterwards.

Aim is irrelevant if you're a melee character.  Despite the names, Physique is what affects to-hit with melee attacks, while Aim only affects ranged attacks.

Intelligence is only important if you're a Tech Specialist.  Other classes have no uses for it.

Willpower isn't important for much of anything at present outside of letting you skip interactions with the Venus Pitchers.

Such rules get somewhat muddied by the Perks a character can have. E.g. a melee Smuggler will still benefit from high Aim because of their Flashbang and from high Intelligence for that sweet bonus damage on Sneak Attack; conversely ranged Mercenary will still need high Physique for their only stun move.

I just beat it on my shooty merc with the LMG from Kara quest 2, some termal undies, a weavemail dress, salamander longcoat and a reaper shield generator. Used thermal packs from the gift basket you can buy on Uvento station to keep myself from freezing to death and just keep pouring on the bulelts.

Could probably do it even mor easily by grabbing an aim eyepiece from Tarkus.

i've found the frost wyrm fight ridiculously easy to cheese. Pocket sand blinds it almost every time, so you just blind it, attack for two turns, then repeat. if your reflexes are decent enough, you should only lose the fight if you get incredibly unlucky with the permanently blinded wyvern hitting you.

How are you using the LMG reliably without power armor?
Maxed out stats probably help, even if my character being 10' tall and ripped as fuck doesn't.

Can also beat the fucker fairly reliably with a secure MP and Goo armor as well. Might do better if I bother to try to stun the fucker.

I beat him with Omnisuit and 100 Libido, was a smuggler.

God that was hard as i made my character half-bimbo. Then later i made her full bimbo as a reward hue hue hue.

I dont recommend doing it however as it was 100% based on pure luck.
