Has CoC 2, or the other Fenoxo games, helped anyone else be more accepting of open relationships etc?

Gonna try to keep as to the point as possible, but growing up I was from a fairly religious household, grew up with nearly only disney stories etc, not too uncommon, but as I got older and had bad experiences and heard more, made the idea of a partner with someone else a absolute nightmare, like panic attack just thinking about it. With a few problems and fears I've had like physical pain, I've had the most success with exposure therapy, even though I didn't know what it was called at first. Not trying to tmi, point was, not trying to sound too kiss butty but these games in particular seems to be extraordinarily good as experiences for multiple lifestyles, in easily digestible fashion and kinda just extreme enough to make it more... palatable I guess is the right word dunno. Like with Cait, if you're new to the concept then it feels pretty cheaty, but over time you can see her always helping, being equal to partners, being open and honest up front, and taking cares with partners so they don't have spreadable diseases. Maybe she's a bit closer to a fantasy representation, but it can help be a no-risk environment to experience a open relationship, to either know if it is or isn't for you, or if you get kinda attached to characters, help deal with the emotional pain of them being with others. Maybe not the same as irl but it could at least help take the edge off so if your partner ever did something like that, you could handle it better and hopefully deal with it in a slightly more stable frame of mind instead of absolutely freaking out. Have they helped anyone else?

Maybe if I'd been raised in a highly repressive environment, this sort of thing would have been a shock and an eye-opener... but no, it didn't change anything for me personally. I always knew people had sex, and while I wouldn't be opposed to having sex with a girl who sleeps around, I still wouldn't want to be in a relationship with one.

Glad you found it somewhat therapeutic, but remember these are fantasy characters in a crazy sex world, your experiences in the game aren't going to be representative of your experiences in the real world.

No. My wife did that. But it makes me happy when actual poly is oractices in games. Makes me feel more validated.

And I'm talking about inter-personal-emotionally-charged relations with multiple people.

Harem ain't it for me, imo. It's no much better when the whole group loves EACH OTHER and not just one person.

Its likely why I'm drifting away from Kiyoko, as a staple companion.

I mean, certainly, she is a doll and I love that woman, but i prefer "Kitchen Table" poly to most other forms

Fen games did help me to pinpoint the exact degrees of 'gay masculine' that I find genuinely arousing in fictional and in RL context, and the community around those games was my first real exposure to trans people.

N0t really.. I've seen enough docs on TV about poly and open relationships.. not my sorta thing and to me I think it's more greed than anything. Either commit to one person and call it a relationship or screw who you like but don't fool yourself into believing it's anything but sex.

Nah, I always knew that open relationships are nothing good and Cait only proves that further for me.
But seriously, don't project porn game logic into real life, it'll only harm you.

All I found was a side of the internet I never knew or dreamed existed. In all reality it may help me find more fetishes I can find personally appealing. Tho all of the content I can seemingly get off to.

Well I don't confuse the world of CoC2 with real life so although I'm all for people doing what they want, I stoll have personal reserves about poly relationships

Nah, I was already open-minded about open relationships and polyamorous relationships. A true open or polyamorous relationship is not cheating because it involves open and honest communication. The important thing is that you don't keep your partner in the dark and make sure that they are comfortable first. If you don't have their consent, then it becomes infidelity.

What did surprise me about the game, though, was the fact that you could not only play as a female character but also have some content geared towards you, too. The only hentai games that I have played before discovering CoC II were those boring flash games on Newgrounds where you play as some generic man hoping to bang some "hot chicks." Gross. No, thank you. To add insult to injury, not a single one of those "hot chicks" had any personality and the guy was even worse. Pretty much every single male "protagonist" in those games could be summed up as being a horny loser, to be honest. CoC II is much more refreshing by comparison.

I was always opem to them as a concept, even if I am not sure if they can really work in real life. I do still prefer when character is more focused on me, the champion then on others for example. Ala being more player centric.
Which does kind of make me sad that we do not have many,if really any, guys in vain of Ryn (low-mid libido), Kiyoko and Brieene. Or at least ones that do not jump on every pussy/dick coming their way. I like characters like Sugo, Quin and Brint well enough but when you are only feeding on manwhores and guys that seem that have more interest in fucking and dating others, it does make you realise how good you have it on other side of the coin. Especially if you like being on top when it comes dealing eith guys.

Elyon, Berwyn, Liulfr and Lyrics are only examples I can think off. Now you can attach to us having less guys overall, but it does not really help the case either way. I am not sure about Elyon since he is incomplete, Lyric,Liulfr and Berwyn can be girls which muddies the matters for me. Since are they like that because they are guys or because they can also be girls? Which brings in itself a lot of not desirable connotations.

I vaguely remember Wsan stating at some point that, while he doesn't express it as frequently and as strongly as Brienne, Brint does get really attached to the Champ, especially one who enthusiastically returns all his affectionate gestures and flirting, on top of fucking like rabbits. So despite him initially being a male counterpart to Cait's sluttery, I wouldn't necessarily put going more steadily monogamous or at least more player-character-centric past our favorite bullman, once we marry him and have a chat about such things.

I never claimed that Brint was not affectionate. I just used him as an example of what CoC2 male NPCs usually are. A loving, affectionate sluts, but still ones at the end of the day.

I do not know If I agree with your view on Brints/Champion relationship and their future. The way the game likes to push Brint as some kind of breeding bull that player brings all the girls to (Elthara, Salwah, Atugia) and just the way it presents him as some beast of a lover that every women and some men want, I just can not see it. At least, the way you are trying to present it. The way the Wsan explained it always sounded to me like what Cait offers. S/He is going to fuck everyone else but they can have a special place in their heart for you if you so desire. An open relationship if I am getting it right. Which is just something that to me personally is not that appealing but I would not want Brint to turn out any other way since he already has his fans to begin with. Besides,I already have Brienne If I want more player centric monotaur lover and she is great on that front. I just want a guy or two more in player centrist ballpark that is all.

No offense, but just share my opinion.
Coc II is a very special game for me. I've been lucky enough to play a lot of adult games, not just the original Flash games, but also Japanese and Korean RPGS and GAls. Maybe my vision is limited, most games (almost all) treat their main character in the same way: he or she is a heartthrob in the spotlight. Even if the hero does not own a harem, all the lady be exclusive to the hero. And as the heroine, whether you're the mistress or the whore, you're always the favorite. To be fair, those games are pretty good, and as a porn player I love them. But I'm really looking forward to a game that puts the player in a beta position, like what I substitution in the anime. As a real one of the harem members.
Coc II did it.
Take brint for example, I never thought I'd like his scene so much. Especially his threesome with Cait and the sharing with Garret (Technically, dogmeat is the one who shares it. I like the way they call each other). Make me love him by his charm as a bull, a leader of Cattles. Therefore, I don't mind my bull touching other one. After all, he is the master of the harem. Also, thanks to the open relationship of the game itself, Brint will not become a possessive monster like Hirrud. Sex with brint doesn't mean you belong to him.
All in all, I love the open relationships in games right now, as a player who likes to put himself in a position of non-primacy.

And if we're talking about reality. Not only open relationships, BUT I personally reject all non-essential face-to-face relationships with others. Fear of judicial risk has made me who I am. That's why I chose this game. Kind of a virtual vindictive compensation.

And I'm on the completely different end... in the game I prefer our MC to be the main event, threesomes or moresomes should focus solely on the MC esp if it involves our companions or significant others (the ones we marry or knock up I suppose). I don't like the attention taken off the MC on games like this.. Ex, Arona or Brint can knock up Elthara.. personally I only want my MC to be able to do that. Another Ex, Ryn when her cage is removed maybe able to also knock up Elthara, and in my playthroughs that isn't happening.

Honestly im fine with characters being champsexual if it makes sense, like with Kiyoko and ryn, you've helped them get out of awful fucking part/positions of there lifes. Them getting infatuated to that point makes sense.

Much like being excited to try anal, and then discovering it's accompanied by a smell you can't stomach, not everything you enjoy in fantasy will be the same in practice.

I've pretty much always been fine with whatever other people want to do as far as relationships go, as long as everyone's a consenting adult and they're all happy- communication beforehand being the key. Ya know, get everyone on the same page; I'm happy to support people who have healthy relationships. But it's not for me. In fantasy, it's easy for me to enjoy threesomes, foursomes, moresomes, but in rl, I don't even particularly like twosomes, and prefer to be alone.

I guess it could be said CoCII (and TiTs) has been a good way for me to safely explore those fantasies without making myself miserable, but it hasn't exactly changed my mind about anything.

I'm sorta the opposite—I don't care about Elthara's sexual content at all so, I don't want any of my companions to knock her up for that reason. She's okay in group settings (eg. the sexy times with the ghosts) but solo she's just a bit too much of a submissive breedslut for my tastes tbh. (Doesn't help that I don't care about impregnation content with the MC as the sire and I'm not personally attracted to any character, lol) Ryn, on the other hand, is a submissive I can get behind on (not a pun btw)—and that's saying something since I usually don't care much for the sexual content of sub-leaning characters (unless they're service tops or something like that).

Then would you not rather have content aimed at you and your champion then towards the NPC you personally do not care about?

I mean I guess ?? But I don’t really care either way—I just won’t do the content that I’m not interested in. ‍shrugs

Also, I never said that I wasn’t interested in Elthara at all—so, please do not put words in my mouth. I simply said that I wasn’t interested in her sexual content.

Yeah, my bad on that one. Still little confused what you ment with those 2 comments. That you are fine with your lovers knocking others up as long as you are present and that is the only way you can enjoy stuff like Elthara since she is to submissive and breed hungry otherwise. And you do not feel attached to a lot of characters in general so to you it is not a big deal. Or, going by your second comment, you do not care for her in sexual way but you still responded to Emily who feels that pregnancy kind of looses its meaning when anyone can knock up anyone since you do not care anyhow. Just confusing that is all.

It’s fine.

To clarify what I meant: I don’t mind if my companions sleep with her to help her out and what not—hell, I even had my MC trade fucks with her one time just to be a pal—but, at the same time, I’m not too keen at the moment of the idea of them knocking up a woman another than my MC. I may relent, though, if it serves a broad story purpose. If it’s purely optional, on the other hand, then I’m just gonna pass.

Add-on: Also, since I don’t care for impregnation content where the MC is the sire, it doesn’t personally bother me that the MC isn’t the only option, to be honest with you—in fact, I prefer it to be this way because it allows for a lot more freedom (especially if you’re playing either an asexual MC or a gay guy).

I agree with Elthara being to much of a submissive, but that's because I prefer to play the sub instead of being dominant one.

I think that now we are going back to thing that I started this whole thread with (open relationship and such), but I can not really share your sentiment. Now, even optionally, I do find it little devaluing to my female/cboy NPC. While my male/dickgirl NPC have all these girls jumping on their dick, begging for their and only their kids, my vagina ones can not help but start feeling like one of many options my lovers have at disposal. Do you not find it odd that that is the case? That we can not offer girls such as Brienne to be impregnated by others but we can use our dick owning companions. Why is former not in the game but latter is? I can not answer for the latter, but I think former is the case since most of guys/gals that are into girls are not found of the idea of their loved one being able to get knocked up by someone besides themselves, no matter the context or if it is up to players choice. Like I get that at the end of the day it is optional, but it starts feeling especially sad considering the sorry state of champions pregnancy currently. A horse that I can beat to mince meat as many times as I feel like it).
Which is funnily enough why I like Berwyn so much. Like, he uses contraceptives, is not willing to knock up every girl that is thrown his way and seems just as excited to prospects to having children with you as you are with him.

And that is only talking from perspective of someone who enjoys both side of pregnancy content. As for those of straight/gay/asexual/lesbian nature that do not want kids? While some may be fine with their lovers being horny, breeding bastards, are they really going to be fine with the assumption that your lover would rather have children then have childless life with you? Now, to be fair, I do not think this is the game is for them, but still, I hope you see my point.

Really, at the end of the day, it is up to writers to write what they like/are getting payed for. This is just something that I noticed recently (especially since mayternity) and what I am not fan off.

Now, to be fair, this only happened 2 times so far, but both of those happened in span of a month this year. I hope it is not a set precedent for future content.

Those are valid criticisms to have. Now that you mention it, I have always found that a little odd—but I dared not to mention it out of fear of coming across as selfish. The pregnancy options for the MC feel quite sparse compared to the impregnation options available—to the point that I sometimes forget that Mayternity even happened this year since it was so uneventful for my pure female MC. I hope that, in the future, this becomes more balanced.
