So like the wiki implies that we're gonna be able to pledge our souls to gods other than Keros. We also see in game that those who pledge their souls get transformed into stuff.

Keros: Some special Kitsune.
That still gets treated like a second class citizen despite being their god's chosen champion. Honestly they're just jealous that we can be Keros' favorite

Lumina: Winged Elven Valkyries
Will this turn masculine characters permanently intersex?

Velun: Ents
How does tree sex work?

The others I haven't found any sources stating what their champions look like.

Tira: Some half ghost thing?
She's the goddess of death. Though she hates undead. It'd be really cool if it worked like the ghost transformation in CoC-1 though. Being able to posses people.

Sorra: Harpies
Brother Sanders: "Her chosen people are the harpies" Though being her chosen people doesn't necessarily mean we'll be permanently turned into harpies. It could though since Keros just turns us into Kitsune.

Mallach: Cat person?
Like cat people are a starter race... The dude is a cat man and I think permanently locking us as a starter race seems lame. Like what if you played a cat person and never took any TFs?

Nareva: DRAGONS!
She watches over all reptilian races and Brother Sanders says "especially salamanders and dragons." we also get no taurs so no lamia transformation and just turning us into a salamander would be lame because she's the goddess of secrets as well as magic. I imagine becoming her champion would be hard.

Don't count on all the gods giving their own godservant TFs. Might happen. Might not.
Velun: Ents
How does tree sex work?
This was a meme. Don't take it as gospel.
Nareva: DRAGONS!

Nareva is already confirmed for the Order Astrida: gothmanders.

Dragons are something else.

Please refrain from using racial slurs, even coded ones.

Velun's form hasn't been defined 100% yet, but the current idea is he's some sort of forest taur. Maybe somewhere between these two.

Oof. Hopefully closer to the former.

Jip is another way to say gyp which comes from gypsie, which is considered a slur by some on its own, but definitely when used negatively.
I had no idea. English is my second language and I was taught "jipped" was just slang for like not getting what you expected.

Edit: I knew people consider gypsie a slur. I didn't know the terms jip or jipped was connected.

Live and learn.
I'm 28 and no one has ever corrected me until now... Wait then what's a proper word? Tricked doesn't sound right and cheated seems like it's too extreme.

The term "gypsy" has long been considered a slur because it's been used to describe the wrong group of people and now the term "gyp" is considered bad because it came about as a term for a term used against the wrong group of people.

It's pretty much a double double negative which hits so many triggers it's almost PC again.

But I didn't say "gyp". I had no idea the term jipped had any connection to "gypsy" also isn't it spelled gypsie?

I'm so horribly confused.

Edit: I removed it from the OP -_-

I just wanted to talk about god forms and now I need to learn a new word for a phrase I've been using regularly.

I thought only Nareva, Keros, and Lumia were getting special souls selling tf's. Has that changed? Also, add some horns, learn Kasyrra's dragon breath power (though good luck surviving that fight and staying in mirror stance long enough to learn any of her moves), and get any salamander tf and voila, instant dragon spawn. Aside from the feet, you could pass as one of Kas's dragon girls.

Edit: Also wait for the level cap to increase since we can't use her moves even if we manage to learn them. And I think the breath is a level 10 power so yeah.

Since this hasn't been addressed yet, the answer is yes. Per Savin the TF will give you 'tits and Femininity out the wazoo' so if you're classed as Male or Trap going in, you'll be Shemale going out.

Velun is :iiam: since they're mentioned in the wiki article as a potential TF (written by Tobs) but Velun's form is up in the air so we just don't know. The rest have been given the Shrug of God treatment or a more direct 'Yeah, no' answer. So three confirmed divine TFs, one maybe, three probably nots.

Hey, don't look at me, I'm only translating. Personally, I use the term all the time as I don't find it offensive. I'm Irish and have Travellers in my family tree. Doesn't mean I'm the only one that can use the term, though, I'm not an asshole. I can differentiate between people using the term as intended and people trying to use it as a slur.

Wait so can I keep saying jipped?

I was specifically told THIS was a slur and have been avoiding it since then.

I don't know what's going on anymore T-T

Also thank you Wolfram for your clarification on Lumia.

Welcome to Cancel Culture, where today's nomenclature is tomorrow's racist slur!

The English term Gypsy (or Gipsy) originates from the Middle English gypcian, short for Egipcien. The Spanish term Gitano and French Gitan have similar etymologies. They are ultimately derived from the Greek Αιγύπτιοι (Aigyptioi), meaning Egyptian, via Latin. This designation owes its existence to the belief, common in the Middle Ages, that the Romani, or some related group (such as the Middle Eastern Dom people), were itinerant Egyptians. This belief appears to derive from verses in the biblical Book of Ezekiel (29: 6 and 12–13) referring to the Egyptians being scattered among the nations by an angry God. According to one narrative, they were exiled from Egypt as punishment for allegedly harbouring the infant Jesus. In his book The Zincali: an account of the Gypsies of Spain, George Borrow notes that when they first appeared in Germany, it was under the character of Egyptians doing penance for their having refused hospitality to Mary and her son. As described in Victor Hugo's novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the medieval French referred to the Romanies as Egyptiens.

Shemale is generally considered a derogatory term and is primarily used to describe a transwoman who works in the sex industry. There is some leeway in it's use, but only when used with trans sex workers. Even then I wouldn't recommend calling a person that. Speaking solely from my perspective, I hate it's use outside of a porn website name and even then I have some discomfort there. But it's not the worst I've heard and not all view it as a slur, though it should be known that it was originally one.

The game uses it as one of its inbuilt gender classifications (along with Cuntboy for the other end of the genitalia/masculinity-femininity spectrum) so it's used around here because, well, it's the game. But I wouldn't use it outside that context.

And who says porn (games) can't serve an educational purpose?

Intent should ALWAYS be at the forefront of everyone's mind when they decide whether or not to be offended by any term, IMO. For many people, said term is their only exposure to the phenomenon in question and in the vast majority of cases, the exposure is a benign one. Your example of the term "shemale" in porn sites is a perfect example.

Want another one? "Queer". From the 16th to the 19th century, "queer" meant "strange", "odd", "peculiar". By the late 1800s, it was being used to describe gay people. Still used til the 1950s to mean "eccentric". "Queer as a three-dollar bill."

Oh, and here's another: "gay". Means "happy".

Ask a Brit for a fag.

I could go on and on and on and on...

I agree that in several cases intent matters. But I don't think that could apply to any term. It's just in terms of "shemale", it's being used in a porn game and for a fictional race, so it really doesn't feel worth getting mad over in this context even if I personally don't like it. And it's not like I or anyone else is being called it so it wouldn't be fair to get mad for it's use, at least in this thread and when used in the context of talking about the game. It's one of those words that's become a bit iffy on its use. And I'm certainly not gonna get mad at someone asking what it's considered or wanting to know more about it and its meaning. Sometimes understanding those who are different can come from a misunderstanding over words. I can think of worse things someone could call me.

That's pretty much the crux of my argument (at the risk of calling what we're doing "arguing"). The term "Shemale", IMO, isn't offensive because, well, it really doesn't include any offensive terminology. It merely combines the words "she" and "male" in an effort to describe a male that has mostly transitioned to female; basically, a female with a penis.

My first deployment, we had a female Navy CPO (Chief Petty Officer) Electronics Warfare Officer (normally called an "EWO" or "ee-wo") attached to my Squadron. We referred to her as our "ShEWO" and she loved it, because she knew we came up with the term as a mark of respect. She-Ra + EWO.

Offense can only be taken, never given.

Shemale is a word that even a while after its initial use has been treated as a slur and basic terminology. It really just depends on the person and I'd recommend not calling someone that if only to avoid potential issues and/or misunderstandings. It's why I said I can only speak from my perspective. I think the reason for that is because "shemale" sounds like a weird way to say "female". And I can't tell if you're overestimating or underestimating hateful people but either way, there are people who intend offense and want to hurt those who are different and it's easier for them to do so verbally. And while it doesn't contain offensive terminology on its own (even female has male in it. Pun only slightly intended) It was originally used and intended as a derogatory word. So even if it's changed over time, the origins of a word should be considered. But I don't feel anyone's used it in a negative context in this thread and haven't seen such use on the forum personally so I'm not gonna be pissy. About this specifically. Give me time. I'll find something to bitch about. I must bitch or I will explode.

LOL.

Exactly. If anyone back in 2006 outside our Squadron heard us refer to her as our "SheWO", they might go "Huh?"

Today, 43 people would have their YouTube, FaceBook and Twitter accounts disabled.

If I started dating what I thought was a female and later determined to be a transsexual, I could react in - generally - one of two ways:

"Oh, you're a shemale."
"OH FUCK YOU'RE A FUCKING SHEMALE!"

I hope the person in question would be okay with my first response. I would also hope the person would kick my ass based on the second.

And while it doesn't contain offensive terminology on its own (even female has male in it. Pun only slightly intended) It was originally used and intended as a derogatory word.

See my last post regarding intention and "derogatory" words.

Anyway, we're getting off topic. If anyone wants to continue discussing this, lets start a new thread.

I mean I am personally not fan of term "shemale". In context of the game it can still be read as "she is a male". I am more found of term dickgirl as i "that girl has a dick". Now, I am not sure how offensive that term is, but to me it is easier to digest. But no one in game is referring to me like that so it is not big deal to me. They always just use female pronouns/titles.
From cultural stand point. Yeesh, I just hope no one here refers to trans woman like that.

How big breast size are we talking here? Max and min? Will we be able to chose cup size and change it latter?
