Since berry is now at the fortress and he has new interactions with you don't have the option to ask about solviegs father so now the quest is now unable to be completed

2) This isn't a bug because the devs did in fact account for that by removing Berwyn from the required list. At least, if you're playing the hotfixed version. Now you only need to talk to Garth, Garret, Gwyn and Anna & Morwen.
