"If we're going to be sleeping on the beach, then we need some sort of shelter. Picking up a stout piece of driftwood, she walked over to one of the life-boats, and with a grunt flipped it over. Then, planting the piece of wood in the sand as deep as she could, she set the edge of the boat upon it; fashioning the vessel into a makeshift lean-to. "Not much, but t will do for a night," she said, as she climbed under the boat. Reaching into her pack, she pulled out a blanket, and laid it down over the wet sand, then sat down and waited for morning to come.
