"Ah yes, pink like that of the Enes Republic's shields, strapped to their ships."

Lady Soldaria gently brushes the infant's cheek to soothe them, the dusky-skinned mother looking down at the pink-bundled boy. Such colors were fitting for someone who arrived by sea, even if normally catered to young baby girls rather than boys. But stereotypes were meant to be broken among the sunny Isle of Solfria. Safely within the old walls of Castle Solfria, the infant shared a room near the heir of Soldaria's throne.

While it was unorthodox, especially among the nobles, she knew her child and this young pink-bound lad would one day grow to be allies... the world of Brotskia was vast and untamed. For one person, it could be dangerous. But a childhood friend, or at worst an enslaved companion, could at least see to the protection of Solfria's legacy. After all, Soldaria couldn't be everywhere at once. As her child grew, this rescued child may be the best hope to see that they survive those of old repute and bad blood that may seek to end their life.

Carefully, her right hand reached to that adorable cheek and rubbed, passing her own magic of binding. A way to ensure destiny held the two together... no mark necessary. It was the raw power of ancient technique that faded with the fall of the mighty Strengen Imperium's collapse and the bloody eruption of death that took the Western Continent and squeezed it of her family's ancient ally, the Foucray's bloodline. A time long gone but with promises that could have raised the world from an age of glittering bronze. Iron, as it was known, was found in meteors and was rumored to have been detectable below ground. But such a thing was absurd to the normal members of the world so many years later with no such development having taken place...

But back to the child, she wasn't ignorant of the fact that being from Enes meant her bundled baby could have come from anywhere in the world. Perhaps they were the child of a sea-faring merchant and his concubine abroad, tossed to the nearest vessel for wealth of a new investment. Perhaps, even, he was the child of some mystical being traversing the world on a whim. But in reality, it was far more simple to deduce some semblance of origin by the species of the small child wrapped tight in the crib...

What species was the young boy wrapped in Enesi Pink?
