I want the gimmick that way it can still be relevant and usable later on. Also its kind of realistic because as your strength increases so does your punching power essentially making the weapon stronger.

Exactly what I was thinking. I was thinking about some wraps that boxers use under their gloves or brass knuckles even those 4oz gloves that MMA fighters use. Depending on your physique the attack would get higher and higher making it a good starting weapon and it could replace the rock.
