The elder held up his hand to try and quiet the bevy of questions being thrown at him. "Yes the creature has taken residence in a cave not even a days walk from here. We were able to drive it from town when it attacked, but ten people died in the endeavor. I dread to think of how many we would lose if we to pursue into it's home. Please, travelers, tell me you'll aid us in this time of crisis. We don't have much, but we will provide what few supplies we can," he pleaded.
Elliana nods, despite those 10 deaths sounding like more of a problem than random passers-by. Pushing the envelope might not be a smart idea with so many armed men around, and the old man looks desperate, so he may just be fishing for sympathy.
The elder was visibly relieved. "Thank you kind travelers. Please feel free to use this study for whatever planning you need do. I'll let the shop owners know that they are to help you in any way they can." With that, Numor stood to take his leave, and the party was left to themselves for a time.

"So, we have a young dragon that needs to be taken care of. Even at a young age this will not be easy. I already have a plan in mind. Through the power of the moon I can use the invisibilty spell. I think I should cast that on Elliana so she can scout ahead of us. When she find it, she comes back and we move up as a group. Mia can distract it while Derek and I provide support. Elliana, you should stay invisible and wait for a chance to make a critical blow. Does that sound good?"

Elliana gets the feeling that something is wrong, they would surely have reported 10 villagers dying to the Duke, and how could such a small dragon kill 10 of their inhabitants without getting itself killed in the process?

Mia walks up to the side of Elliana and whispers to her. "Although this could very well be a dragon, they tend to be loud and very visible, even young ones, I would have thought someone would have found out and gone to the lord by now. Especially since dragons have quite a high reward for being found..... It feels like there may be something more sinister afoot"

Despite the recent amiable talk with the Elder, Elliana could not shake the feeling that the old man wasn't telling them everything. Mia was right, even a juvenile dragon would attract a lot of attention as it flew overhead. Unless, it was traveling by ground. But, there was no way a dragon would be able to travel on foot across the all of Lothlyde, without someone seeing it. The more she thought about it, the less appealing the idea of staying in town became.
"I agree, we should leave as soon as possible and without an escort, the dragon is less likely to notice us with less people."
"Ah elder, since we may be up there for some time i don't suppose we could have any food you can spare, it would be very appreciated"

Elder Numor was more than willing to grant the simple request the two women put forth. In short order, several bundles of hardtack, salted meat, and dried fruit, as well as four spare water skins.

Castella sighs and gets to her feet. "Very well, thank you for the kind offering elder. I guess my companions wish to leave immediately. We will deal with this dragon, rest assured on that." She clasps her hand together and bows to the elder before turning around. "Alright Elliana, you should probably lead the way."
