Some sort of Underground wrestling/fight club, or a big galaxy-wide wrestling federation. Where this SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY, you can see Galactic Heavyweight Champion JOHN STEELE defend his title!

But seriously, sexy wrestling/fight club would be awesome. WE NEED TO PUSH DICK GIRLS FOR SUMMERSLAM.

I feel like you must've read that idea I posted Over here

>Now you have to pick between something you don't want to be or not being optimal for your build

So in CoC, fenco gave foxes shitty magic skills for a middle ground?

I can't speak for everyone, but when playing a game where I can transform myself relatively flexibly into an ideal form, I don't like feeling that I have to take one transformation or another so I'm playing it the "right" way. Having (most) transformations be just cosmetic is more my speed, rather than feeling like I have to be an anemone-naga teasing machine to win.

Here's the thing, this game isn't exactly hard. Enemies are not hard to beat down, even on suboptimal builds. There is nothing pressuring you that the 'right way' to play is to go full galotian so that you can adjust your appearance midbattle for tease bonuses, So while Fenco had been willing to give passive bonuses to races for racial authenticity almost anything combat related is immediately cut. Like the cumvore perk from the vanae, healing from swallowing cum? I doubt everyone would turn into a squidgirl just for that perk. And while I'm sure I'd be disagreed with, not having these combat racials at all kills the aesthetic. (speaking as someone who was really hoping the racial system from CoC would be expanded upon in TiTS)

It's also a different theme from CoC, where you lose your humanity etc etc. Here, you can walk into a saloon and come out a hideous squid thing if you so desire. (At least in universe, I think as far as saloons go we top out at furries or elves) It's all inherently cosmetic, including in universe. I think TiTS has its share of inherent design flaws, but going back on the choice of "cosmetic only" would be one of them, imo.

Now. As for the topic proper, beyond the more sweeping content of "A world that isn't a borderline apocalyptic shithole" I'd like to see more human characters. Shocking, innit? People that prove themselves with personality and potential fetishisms over just their appearance alone. Also; hoodies. Hoodies are cute.

I don't see the problem with this because not everything you want is gonna be behind what you want.

So, isn't the right way to go then just making racial perks things that reward your commitment to an idea, rather than out-and-out making them better options than those available based on class choice?

Like, you don't have to make a race inherently better at space magic than everyone else, maybe just different at using it?

Nothing's stopping you from writing flavored tease attacks, for instance, as suggested. Or writing particular bits and pieces in scenes for particular races. Or coming up with purely sexual perks, like Nuki Nuts.

Racial perks, though: never going to happen. I really don't think there's much arguing with Savin's succinct summary. It pushes players to TF themselves in ways they may not want in pursuit of perfect builds.

There is gloryhole scene that is repeatable in yet to be added shackled Hand So X-pack.

I doubt people who want gloryholes would be that satisfied with that scene. It's more a "look at some of the crazy things I can do" showcase.

No, the right way is to make your appearance entirely cosmetic.

'Nuki Nuts is a great example of a good racial perk: the only thing it does is entirely sexual, reinforcing that TF path's inherent fetishes. Compare to R.Myr Venom which was, in hindsight, a Bad Idea.

I'm totally down with races providing sexual perks that don't interact with the combat mechanics, just like your class shouldn't be doing weird things to sex scenes. You wouldn't want all Tech Specialists to, by virtue of being Techies, have mandatory perpetually inflating tits and arbitrarily be the only way to unlock the Anal Whore perk tree.

Even something as small as "being an Ausar gives you a buff when fighting alongside a drone, but that buff is never going to be as good as a vanilla Tech doing something similar?"

Or giving PCs that have huge horns the ability to use them in a fight? (Not looking to start an argument here, just asking for the sake of clarity.)

This raises a question about Treatment. It has a lot of significant lust combat affecting perks.

Well it's STILL a glory hole scene even if it not may be up to some people standards. But when there is no other scenes of such type each of them got high worth (so only after there will be tons of them the one from Hand So content will be seen as not so highend tier for this type of scenes).

So many x-packs, so few in game.

LoL not look at me. I not coding TiTS so hopefully coders will look over some of ready X-packs to add it to the game.

You keep bringing up combat perks... I thought we just talked about how that doesn't work. If being a certain race gives a drone buff; even a minimal one, then the optimal techie will be that race to have that perk. If those buffs don't stack, you have disincentive to be both, which is restrictive in another way. And having stand-alone perks that are worse than job-skills are literally worthless. Vanae nipple squirt is never as good as a maxed out(and it should be) default tease. That skill is a literal waste of space on the action bar, cause using it is an output loss. It looks nice and meaningful, but it sounds like you want flavour text skills that will never be clicked, ever. Is that really where you want dev time spent?

Purely out of interest, which side would you like the player to be on?

If I can't be greedy and say both, I'd be more interested in the sub side.

I was more trying to get more on Savin's take on it, there. I'm already at peace with the fact that it's a thing that'll never happen because "optimization," woes are/will be such a huge problem. (Because, apparently: either the vocal minority that will complain about not getting everything they want is just that annoying, or they're not a minority at all and liable to damage funding received for the game if they leave?) Either way, I suppose just because Racial Perks work in things like DnD -- even if optimization and number crunching run rampant there -- doesn't mean it'll work elsewhere. Or be welcomed.

I suppose I'd like more scenes with feet involved. It's been a while, but I can only remember there being feet stuff with sera, female zil, and taivra. Not that I'm complaining mind you I'm happy with pretty much all the content in the game so far. I just really like stuff with feet involved.

Absolutely most importantly, by FAR: Transformations that are NOT based on animals.

More Steeledom (More characters and scenes in which Steele gets to be dominant) and more female submissive characters.
A female character that you can outright enslave (Similarly to Reaha really, I suppose, although one that you can interact with more would be nice. )
See above, but one that you enslave via combat.

Slavery is illegal in civilized space.

Indentured servitude is not, and it's very easy to be a dick about the terms of the servitude so that it never ends.

Legality won't stop it from happening though. Actually, I think technically what people like the Tarratch Slavers do is legal since certain indigenous species don't have rights to begin with? I'm no Space Politician so I'm not sure.

I'm sure would-be slavers can get around the law by forcing or forging documents that state their victims agreed to take on huge debts or buy overpriced industrial equipment from them.

Yeah. Stuff like that I'd rather avoid, go for more things like "being an Ausar lets you ignore some of the Cold damage on Uveto."

Honestly it might be a good idea to look at all TF related perks in terms of combat situations. Nuki nuts is a wonderful perk, but it still does effect combat by makeing you gain more lust damage/harder to run away if your balls get too big. Its a problem that should be given an offical stance before the game gets too big to retoractivly fix.

Anyway... Sex/masturbation scenes that involve people with 3 vaginas, Like takeing three toys at once or haveing a crowd of people use each of your holes one by one until all three are a waterfall of spooge.

An NPC who is a Kui-tan with a hyper ball fetish that frequently finds herself imoblised from the weight of her highly modded balls (You know, I think im going to write that, well after my curent project goes through).

More spesifically cumflation related scenes (Broken the milker in new tex? Lots of needy bulls with no milker to satisfy them? Offer yourself up for a week until it gets fixed!).

From what we see in the Kressia tarratch slavers Bad End, they indebt you by charging you for the money it costs for your mods and your new identity/training, then because you've been brainwashed you sign the contract which means you have to pay for every new mod your owner gives you. Meaning you basically stay enslaved forever.

Not too late to fix it.  Making it an attack ability that does Drug damage akin to vanae milk isn't ideal, but it would make venom fairly lower-impact.  Or you could just make it purely cosmetic outside of allowing some sex scenes to have variants.  I know adjusting existing content is a hard sell, but now's the time to set the standards while there aren't many outliers.

I always find it funny when people get bothered by the nonconsensual rapey scenes in TiTs, because you spend 90% of the game raping your enemies. The game is practically rape simulator at times. You can't go anywhere without encountering rape of some sort. Even on NT you basically witness the tv show girl get raped by the locals on live tv. Also ironic that CoC had more consensual sex and love in it than TiTs does.

On the subject of race perks/traits good god I could write for days and not say everything I want to on that subject, so i'm just going to make a couple of points. 1.That people will min/max is NOT a reason not to do it. That's a really poor excuse to cut content, I mean look at other rpgs with races and bonuses you still see people playing all the races whether it's optimal or not don't you? Virtually nobody likes Orcs in the elder scrolls series but on paper they're the best warriors possible since double damage is by far the most powerful race power for warriors but since by end game everyone ends up OP and swatting shit like a fly you don't have that problem. Even races that have often had disadvantages(khajit and argonian) are popular races among the player base particularly khajit despite their racebonuses being pretty much useless in most games. So the idea everyone will just bandwagon the optimal build is flat out wrong.  It only happens if it's the ONLY way to clear content, as long as the balance is so effed up that you can't get through the game with other builds there's no need to fixate on optimization and the players that min/max aren't really gaining anything out of it but satisfying their own desire to see big numbers.

2. TF perks shouldn't be dependent on you going 'all the way' on a race in the first place. If you have scales or fur those are significant alterations and should have traits associated with them. Not all of them should be good things either tradeoffs are how you acomplish balance. For example fur giving resistance to cold areas and damage but adding a vulnerability to heat weapons and burning statuses. Scales giving ablative armor when you're not wearing a conflicting armor type and enhancing effectiveness when wearing ablative armors, but accentuating the weaknesses of those armor types.  Or excessive size modifications having consequences, for example having a dick bigger than your body should have serious combat consequences like randomly tripping over your dick or being super vulnerable to stimulus that affects your crotch. Or having boobs too large should cause you to be clumsy and fall over sometimes dropping reflexes/aim stats because you can't balance yourself properly. Such considerations would also give us fun ways to torment enemies like creating weapons that enlarge body parts to disable enemies and the like. Downsides make things more interesting.

Now......back to what I was originally going to say.....which was.....um......damnit I forgot.

Blackmail and sex slave/forced indentured servitude stuff practically has its own genre.

Ok i just want to say I disagree with the developers. TiTs combat is fun and engaging and racial perks would help it more so, but I dont think most players would transform to a specific race just for one perk... Becuase combat is not the point!! TiTs core game mechanics is not about combat its about sex and transformation! If a player is playing the game so they can become an extremely well optimized smuggler/merc/tech the their not playing right at all. Combat is fun, getting to live out your sex fantasizes is for most players funner, and if its not the devs arent doing a very good job. Personally im actually more likely to transform into another race just for the sexual perk. For example really want honeypot perk even though im not interested in becoming a myr. Its bugs me I cant get to it. What doesnt bug me is that the red myr have a cool combat perk. While useful for combat i dont think its worth sacrificing my preffered look. Think of it this way... In RL would you rather gain the ability to turn into a disgustingly vile glob of goo that's slightly better at fighting or would you rather tranform to your dream appearence? My point is getting a likely minor or even major combat skill is not worth changing your race, rather it makes the game feel more immersive and realistic, it makes me feel as if im not only a unique individual during sex, but also in combat rather than some generic steele that has weapons and no other advantages. Rather than makes you want to change races, if well balanced and realistic the combat perk makes you happier with the race your are now, not becuase they help you fight but becuase it makes your character feel more real.

PS: for those of you who argue that you need a good combat build to access certain sex scenes i say too you two words: easy mode... Also if you could ignore the horrible grammer and spelling. I wrote this on phone

Even when it's a self-professed "bad idea," it won't stop people from trying to use it to make their case. :p

Yeah, but, I don't wanna bring it up with Fen for the millionth time... he'll beat me again... :(

Maybe based J-Cup or Geddy will do what Couch said re: drug damage. I've been onboard with something like that since Fen first brought it up as a problem case.

This is a complete non-post really, seeing as I bring very little new to the discussion, but I wanted to agree with whomever said that while yes, the Red Myr venom might be a bit overboard, the tolerance for unbalanced racial perks and abilities is pretty high as long as you can clear all of the content with most builds - which currently you can. And that is probably the right balance-point for a game in which many are unlikely to want to assume the most optimized combat form purely for the sake of combat anyway.

In fact, considering the fact that the game is non-competitive and based around transformations anyway, it might even be a decent idea to look at similar combat abilities as one way to help transformations stand out a bit. Give them their own flavour, or make already-existing flavour stronger. (I'm aware similar abilities already exist, though usually a bit less powerful. )
