Dead leaves kick up as Jinni's wings flap, the relief of the pungent oder is very brief however, as the fragrance of death wafts back up Jinni's nose almost as soon as he stops flapping his wings. (Spot: 5+3=8, Listen: 2+3=5) Kay scans the area looking for something, anything that would clue him into the recent activity while listening closely for anything out of the ordinary. Kay gets the feeling that the worshipers who lived here have long since left this place, Purgat's yelling attests to this fact because noone anwsers his call, undead or otherwise. The graves have not been tended too in a long time, this is made obvious by the lack of new graves and the weather worn and cracked headstones, a spongy, wooden-handled shovel left abandoned next to a tree, and the chapel with its very old floors that creak as Anja steps inside, walls that have become the home to Ivy vines climbing up and between the cracks in the boards. If anyone worships here, they haven't done so in a very long time....

As Anja, ( and I'm assuming) Jinni, fallowed shortly by Claire step inside the ruin of the chruch of Toldoth, the first things you see is the dead body of an adventurer (or merc) his blood dried, the source of which seems to be the gaping hole in his chest where his heart should be and his face is locked in the expression it probably was in at the time of his death: fear. The floor is old and a little precarious, its missing boards in certain places but more so near the back where the reverend or lead cleric would probably stand, there a single board crosses a what might be a 10ft gap, there is a metal spiral staircase leading up and down to what one might assume to be the attic and basement (respectively) off to the right and a door to a different room to the left. There are a number of pews strewn about the worship area and at the other end of the 10ft gap is a large stone (surprisingly intact) statue of some dark cloaked figure with a an alter infront of it, across the alter is a pile of gold and platinum pieces coated in blood and on top of this pile is a heart with a dagger driven through it. The hilt a dull grey with the same holy symbol attached to the pommel. From just looking at the merc, once can see is wearing leather armor (that has a hole in it), a cloak, a short sword in its scabbard, a crossbow on his hip, and pair of boots. He has a backpack with his hand locked around one of the straps laying next to him.

"Right." The paladin looks somewhat crestfallen by how little his companions cared about his warning. "Don't let me keep you."

With the rest of his party already inside the building and only Purgat shouting at the wind, Kay felt a little foolish for expecting some more of a resistance on the part of evil. "Might as well." He said as he followed his companions in. The sight of the fallen mercenary attested to his belief that evil still walked these halls. If they wouldn't believe him, he would have to show them exactly what they were dealing with. The paladin closed his eyes focusing on his other senses as he muttered a quick prayer to Marae trying to attune himself to his Divine Senses.

Claire eyes the sword thoughtfully as purgat twirls the blade "ummm..."  then as he tosses it to the ground roughly  "hey!" Then as he lifts his boot "h- hey hey!!!!" She starts forward as his boot slams (AC (for both): 9&8 VS hit of 31, DMG  3+12=15) and destroys them both. "I could have used that sword!" She frowns up at Purgat as he lifts his boot revealing the destroyed weapons. She sighs, "nevermind... just stop destroying the loot..." she walks off into the room on the left,  her pace quick due to her annoyance, and her hips swaying.

"And, for the love of whatever you believe in, Kay... stab him with it, instead..." She mumbles to Kay, having had it to up to six feet with Purgat, already.

Jinni rolls his eyes. "Oh yes he died to nothing. Nothing took a dagger, cut a hole in his chest, put it on the thing and then stabbed it. By the gods you're an idiot!" He goes over to the stair case and walks up it slowly.

(Kay)

As Kay's prayer for divine vision is anwsered he feels it, like a strong wave washing over him without  all of the force. There is definitely an evil presence in this chapel, it can be sensed all around, and (sticking with the ocean metaphor) its like standing ankle deep in water on the beach (if the water represents evil.)

(Kay, Anja & Purgat)

As Purgat empties the bag a number of things fall out, a water-skin, a torch, some flint, a small flask of oil which tinks loudly off the floor, a small sack with its top tied off with a string that makes a clinking noise as the sack hits the floor, some rations,  a sealed letter, a metal flask, a small glass vial with a liquid of swirling bright reds, oranges and yellows (that luckily doesnt break,) a sun-rod, a bottle of honeymead that hits the ground wrong and shatters, and a small handful of gems. A few moments later there is a loud THUD!  from the ceilng where Malice went.

(Malice)

As you reach the top of the stairs, you notice a rather large libarary in front of you with and number of books scattered throughout the room, on top of tables, on the floor and elsewhere, there 4 tables total and a desk near the back of the room, (Spot check: 1-3= -2.... umm okay...) your so preoccupied with looking about the room that you trip over an overturned chair and face plant into the floor. After picking yourself up from the floor you take another look around (Spot check: 17-3=14 much better) and notice that there are 5 small podiums with single books on 4 of them and glass cases covering them. The other one must have been cleaned off as there is shattered glass around the center podium and its book is missing.

"Damn!" The paladin took a deep breath as his senses returned from their heightened state. "We are *all* surrounded by an evil presence. Please don't touch anything you don't have to." He let his voice sound clear meaning for everyone to hear but the futility of the effort did not shock him in the slightest. "And of course no one cares about what I have to say." The paladin sighed before proceeding to examine the stabbed heart and the dagger as it had been requested of him. He refused to touch such a vile a thing but the circumstances of the exhibit required some attention. Whatever it was that pierced the adventurer's chest probably meant the heart as an offering to the cursed deity and the dagger looked like it could be a sacrificial instrument and the massive statue was likely an image of Toldoroth himself. Several stories of his master told about cursed items and statues that could come to life, with Kay's luck he couldn't help to expect both were the case. He loathed having to do that but he knew this place was going to be trouble if he could at least narrow down the potential threats, maybe they could all leave this cursed place alive. He once again focused his mind on the chain around his wrist and whispered silent words to his Goddess.

"Oh, that's just damn peachy, Kay... And where the hell did Claire go?" She looks around, ignoring Purgy-poo's bitching.

(Purgat & Jinni)

As Purgat reaches the landing on the stairs leading to the attic he sees the library in its disheveled state for the first time, and Jinni in the back standing near five empty podiums, the one in the center with shattered glass fragments scattered on and around it, everything about this chapel seems to say that noone has been here in a long time though you'd be a fool to believe it.

(Anja & Kay)

As Anja picks up the pouch she realizes it has a bit of heft to it (add 75 platinum pieces to your treasure, or 750 gold which ever you feel like keeping up with), then as Kay casts his detect magic spell, he senses a large ammount of necromatic magic coming from the statue, its not as strong nor as deep as the evil sensed from before but fairly strong in its own in regard, its strong enough that it almost manages to distract from the necromatic magic coming from the room to your left, the same room Claire went to. Anja starts for the doorway leading to the room Claire was inspecting when you both hear her voice (slightly muffled due to the walls and the distance between you) "great, more creepy artwork AND coffins to boot... hard to believe these lunitics find this crap tasteful..." then theres some rummaging sounds fallowed by, "Of course they wouldnt have anything useful in her-huh? WOAH! Who in the seven hells are you!?" There is a soft raspy voice thats hard to make out as she replies loudly, "Oh yeah? Well eat me, I was here first! You get-" then a wooshing sound, the tearing of cloth, a pained inhuman screech fallowed by silence..." As Kay and Anja round the corner Claire is nowhere to be seen in the large room with rows and rows of coffins laying on the floor, one of which has its lid askew. That however isn't what draws theyre attention, what catches theyre eyes is the large stone chair in the back of the room with a large cloaked skeletal figure sitting in it, with with two tiny red embers of light that serve as pupils staring at the familiar looking glaive pinning him to his chair.

Crypt_Thing.jpg

His eyes leave the glaive and turn upwards looking at both Kay and Anja, he reaches up and pulls the Glaive out slowly, then lets it drop to the ground with a clatter. He rises from the chair slowly saying in a raspy voice, "geeeet....ooouuut..."

MEANWHILE...

Somewhere in a lush green forest called Ralethius,  a elven girl on a quest to hone her already sharp healing and medicinal prowess, gathers herbs, flowers and other natural ingredients for the purpose of making salves and poltaces. She does this with expertise that comes from years of practice. The sunshine beams through the trees as gentle breeze tussles her light brown hair, its the kind of day in Ralethius that makes one want to be outside, the beams of sunlight that shine through the canopy of leaves warm her milky white skin as she goes about her work. Indeed it would seem to be an ordinary day when from the nearby brush a younger elven boy comes crashing through the foliage with an urgent look on his face. "Lyianna, come quick! The village elder says she needs you. Its an omen she says!"

His bright green eyes meeting her hazel ones, he does seem genuinely concerned... (so, Nekonoble... what... do you do?)14edbd98e4a1afe9af63a62675fefdc66a8cc303.jpg

Lyianna couldn't help but smile and hum softly as she gathered useful plants and ingredients for her salves. She was considered skilled enough that the clan's shaman wasn't worried about supervising her any longer and, for the most part, left her to her own devices. She had a feeling that today would be a good day... Or at least she had thought so until she heard and saw the child burst through the trees and brush. Concern painted her face before she hurriedly packed everything she had brought and stood up to dust her skirt off. Once she had done so she smiled to the boy and gestured onward. "Well if the elder says that it's important then we shouldn't dawdle. Lead the way, Eroan, and I shall follow." (Assuming that they do go to the village) Lyianna thanked the young lad and went to find the elder to see what this omen could be. If she had been sent for while out gathering herbs and the like then it must surely be dire.

Lyianna makes her way into the village that she had grown up in, the appearance of the villiage itself is a testament to the years of magical work performed by shamans and elders to shape the trees as they grow into homes and shops. This place is as familiar to the young elven girl as the back of her hand, still though she let Eroan lead the way, as the two elves went Lyianna cant help but notice that the residents seem reastless. Many of them talking to a fellow resident of the forest, and as a result she overhears a few of the villagers talking in hushed voices amongst themselves. "Why would the elder take in a human?" says one elderly man to the younger woman next to him, "she dropped out of the sky, it reaks of trouble if you ask me..." replies the elven female, her arms crossed, her lips in a thin straight line, and seeming to stare through the ground as though the source of they're concerns lie beneath the ground itself, "Why does it always have to be humans meddling with forces they cant comprehend?" the girl asked to noone in particular. As Lyianna and Eroan get closer to a huge Oak in the center of the town, shaped over the many long years to grow thick and tall, with roots that reach far into the ground. Lyianna recalls that this particular Oak known as "Orn èn Poldra" reaches far over the top of the treeline and is many times thicker in diameter. Lyianna learned as a girl that the head druid of the tribe shares a symbiotic relationship with the tree and through the head druid's magic it grows strong and in turn lends its strength to the head druid, this back and forth sharing of Magic allows both the tree and its attending druid to grow strong and protect one another, and  by proxy, the village as a whole. Everyone had known for some time that Vaymære, though a great druid, was slipping into her twilight years and she was not long for this world, and had to pass the torch on to her successor soon, her granddaughter and life long friend of Lyianna's, Drusulia. Unfortunately however, as the two of them got older, it seemed like they spent less and less time together as theyre paths seems to lead them down different roles for they're village. Lyianna, given her affinity for the healing arts, was set down the path of a healer, expected to learn the ways of the world and gain wisdom through experience. Then there was Drusulia, Lyianna's friend and almost polar opposite, not quite as curvy in the places one would expect a woman to be, and quite tomboyish in appearance with short black hair, and a barely noticeable ass and set of breasts. Her "destiny" as it was told was to learn all the lessons the druids of old had left to her, to guide her on the path to becoming the head druid, and one day,  have a child of her own to one day take the mantle for themselves, sadly this meant that much of her time was spent studying in the Orn èn Poldra Temple, in solitude, the very same Temple that Lyianna and Eroan were heading to now, and when the druids time allowed her to be away from her studies she practied her swordsmanship to allow her to strengthen her mind and body so she could be as prepared as possible for any threats that might be presented to the villiage, and its people. Eroan turns as the two temporary companions reach the large doorway blocked by a set of equally sized double doors, his blond locks hairs flipping to one side as he looks at Lyianna. "Look I know the older members of our village have been talking about the Elder's ominous visions, and I get that you might somehow fit into his plan to deal with these threats.... just, be careful." He then pulls the door open wide for you to allow you inside, "the elder is in the recovery wing, you know, where we tend to the sick and injured."

“Oh come now Synnorha, all humans aren’t bad. They have to learn somehow and we could always lend a hand,” Lyianna said to the female as they passed the two, not bothering to stop, and putting a hand meaningfully on Eroan’s shoulder, hoping that they would take the hint that it wasn’t really necessary to teach the younger ones such unfounded hatred. So… there was a human here…Thinking back on it, Lyianna couldn’t recall having ever had a human in the village, at least that she was aware of. That would explain why everyone was worried and seemed to all be upset though; a human falling out of the sky would certainly qualify as a strange and possibly important omen. At the least she would be able to see Drusilia though as it had been far too long since they had really had any time to chat.

“Well thank you for the escort, Eroan, I surely would have run into trouble had you not been with me. Keep up with your studies and your training and I’m sure you’ll make a fine guardian one day,” she encouraged him with a smile as they stood at the entrance. It surprised her somewhat and only made her smile more upon hearing his warning, ruffling his hair and giving him a quick hug. "I shall do my best. Remember to be careful as well though, if there is truly a dread omen happening then be mindful of your elders and be sure to listen to our village. Sometimes the forest will warn you of trouble before anyone else is aware of such a thing." With that she entered the building with her smile still in place, eagerly looking about in hopes of catching sight of Drusilia while making her way towards the recovery wing. “Elder Vaymære, I apologize for taking so long. Young Eroan explained that you have need of me regarding an omen?”

Elder Vaymære is an old elven woman with platinum blond hair, pale white skin, icy blue eyes, and a thin frame of a body. Many children would make the joke of saying "Elder Vaymære is older than Corellon Larethian herself," truthfully though the joke is on them, as they grew older it seemed that elder Vaymære aged much more slowly, like many of her predecessors before her, her link to Orn èn Poldra  seemed to also increase her longevity, as recently she celebrated her 600th birthday, but didn't look to be a day over 250. Also like all the other previous head druids who shared a link with the tree she is quite voluptuous for an older woman with breasts that one might hazard a guess at being E cups at the very least, a set of thick hips and thighs, and bubbly butt that leaves her body still very desireable in her old age; chalk it up to another side effect of the magical tree. She is standing over a bed with a young woman laying on it with fair skin and long black hair that has been put into a side ponytail for ease of keeping it out of the way, this must be the human Eroan mentioned. Vaymære is looking down at the girl, her lips in a frown, and staring into the girls face who seems to be sleeping peacefully. As you step into the room she notices you, her inner thoughts seemingly interrupted, she quickly regains her composure, blinking her inner thoughts away and greats you with a warm smile as you walk into the recovery wing. "Ah, Lyianna, no need to apologize, and yes I was hoping you might be able to help me shed some light on a vision I've been having frequently as of late. In my vision Ralethius grows smaller as the neighboring Black Marshes slowly consume it, the trees dieing as a faceless, black cloaked figure walks the path to Orn èn Poldra, leaving death and an endless night in its wake." She then gestures at the young, unconscious woman. "While I don't believe this girl will bring about this future that I've seen herself, I have a feeling its not merely coincidence that her skin is as plae like the moon, and her hair is as dark as the night." She then sighs turning her gaze to the unconscious girl, "and normally I'd think Drusulia was correct about it being a bit farfetched, however the girl speaks of the dead in her sleep. I cannot continue to abide sitting Idly by when our home might be in peril, and might herald even  greater problems for the rest of the world. we have always done well by avoiding the problems of the outside races, letting them fight they're own battles, but this is too close for us to ignore." She looks back at you a gives a small smile before taking a deep breath. "Normally I'd handle this myself, but the older I get, the shorter the distance I can be away from Orn èn Poldra, now I can barely leave the town without feeling weak." Vaymære clinches a fist and looks at it as her hand trembles ever so slightly. She looks a bit distracted for a moment before coming back from whatever thoughts were disturbing her, "the bottom line is we need anwsers, whatever magic sent her to us had taken a toll on her energy, that and crashing through the branches Orn èn Poldra probably didn't help either. I've treated her injuries, however I was hoping you might be able to wake her using your healing arts. Once we have some anwsers we can form a plan of action."

Lyianna smiled but soon enough the smile had transformed into a troubled look. "This is troubling news, Elder, but I haven't seen any signs yet of the Black Marshes invading our homes any more than usual. At least, not yet..." While she partially agreed with Drusulia that it seemed far fetched and too coincidental, it wasn't often that the Elder's visions were wrong either. "At the very least she more than likely has something to do with your vision," she commented as she knelt beside the woman, checking to ensure that none of the woman's injuries had been missed(heal check please) and, satisfied should she find nothing unusual, cast cure light wounds to hopefully bring the young woman back from the brink. (1d8+5 I believe?) "Hopefully, gods willing, she'll be able to tell us what she's seen soon enough."

As you examine the unconscious girl you notice quite a few dark bruises left covering a large portion of her body, as well as areas where her skin was broken open but were quickly mended. "The poor girl must've fell more than two hundred feet," Vaymære says, "we found a number of Orn èn Poldra's small branches that gorw near the top around her when she finally landed." Given the number of injuries she sustained, your more than a little surprised shes not dead, and from the look of things they were barely able to keep her alive. You then set to willing the healing magic into your hands. (Heal check: 12+19=31/ 5+5= 10 hp restored) and all of the deeper cuts and all but a few of the worst bruises heal. You look over your handy work and see that after a few days rest the girl should be fine and back on her feet. Elder Vaymære smiles at you, "you've learned your craft well child," she pauses at that, seeming to think over her words as she considers you."Though, truthfully your not a child anymore are you?" The unconscious girl mumbles something incoherently under her breath, though what it was is hard to say. Vaymære looks at the girl out of the corner of her eyes before continuing, "you, know tonight is the night of the inheritance festival, and unfortunately Drusulia will have to prepare to offer herself to Orn èn Poldra so she can become one with the tree. I know you know this, but I mention it because I dont have another alternative. Would you be willing to go in her stead to the Black Marshes to-" the unconscious girl interupts the head druid blurting out "BLACK GOOP!!!...no...no... no no no noooo, you just cant! I said NO!..... You get ouuuut, asshole! Can't have my.. pudding... you... you get your own....... creepy bastard..."

The elder looks a little puzzled at the girl, her mouth opens before closing again, and her look of confusion growing from trying to understand the sleep babble. She shakes her head with a disbelieving look on her face, "anyways, when she wakes and tells us what she knows... I'd like you to seek out the root of the problem, if you come across anything that looks like what I've seen, I cant stress enough how much I don't want you to fight it. If it is what I think it is, I want you to run. Do you understand?" She levels a deadly serious gaze at you, you have no doubt that in her mind whatever she saw must be dangerous indeed. Around this time the unconscious girl's eyes snap open and immediately sits upright, the thin blanket flying from her chest as she looks around, and what a chest it is too, as her large DD's come to a stop from jiggleing her head whips from side to side looking about the room bewilderment painted on her face for a brief moment as the paint of moving to quickly hits her all at once. She cringes and gasps for air, "UG-GAH! Sonofabitch that hurts!" She exclaims  holding the biggest bruise on her ribbs and hissing in pain...

“Two hundred feet….” Lyianna murmured as she looked the woman over to ensure that they hadn’t missed any major injuries prior to summoning her to look the woman over. The healing energies passed from her hands into the woman and a look of satisfaction came to her face when it was done, proud that she seemed to heal all but the worst injuries and even those were minimized to nothing but bruises. She turned to look to Elder Vaymære and smiled. “Well I’ve had a lot of time and practice to learn about it as well as a good teacher to start out with.” She hoped that she would be able to see Drusulia before leaving to investigate what was currently happening in the Black Marshes and was about to say so when she was startled by the woman’s rather sudden movements and very nearly jumped out of her skin.

She frowned now, reaching out and lightly tapping the woman’s nose before fixing the blanket to cover the woman once again. “You mind your manners young woman,” she chastised the injured one in Common, “you’re sitting before the Elder and Healer of the Ralethius Forest.” It didn’t take long for the frown to turn to a soft smile as she continued. “How do you feel? You took quite the nasty fall and are lucky to be alive. I’ve done what I could to tend to your injuries but I’m afraid a few still remain.” She took a small glass of water from the table at the bedside and held it for the woman to take. "Are you thirsty, perhaps hungry? We can have someone get you something to eat if you wish."

Elder Vaymære just as surprised as Lyianna, nearly falls over herself, when the young woman sits up so suddenly,  her pain somewhat forgotten when she is tapped on the nose, and goes cross-eyed  to stare at the finger prodding her... "ummm.... sorry?" She said refocusing her gaze on the owner of the finger, she then blinks several times, saying "Ra-let-hius," very slowly. She then returns the smile and responds "I feel like I gotten beat with the giant's equilvalent of a switch, but uhh... thanks for the help," she says looking over her body and twisting this way and that as you explain to her what happened, wincing in pain when the way her body moves doesn't  agree with her, she then takes the proffered glass of water and downs it quickly swallowing the last bit with a big sigh. "Oh, thank you very much." The Elder smiles at her, "yes good to see your feeling well." The young woman returns the smile but bigger replying "yeah I haven't had clean water since..." Then her eyes go wide like a person who realizes they left a campfire unattended. "Wait, I'm not in the Black Marshes?! Shit, when did I get here?! No no no no, I gotta go!" She then pushes the glass back into your hand and flips the blanket to the side and starts to stand up but her bruised legs wobble unsteadly and she crumbles into the floor,landing butt first and sending her "assets" a-jiggle. The elder sighs and says "well I guess its a good thing we didnt heal you completely, would be a shame if we did all this for you and didn't get any anwsers about how you crashed through our sacred tree." "Sorry again..." the young woman replies sheepishly. Vaymære then looks over her shoulder towards a door in the back. "Drusilia! Take a break and come here for a second would you?"

A few moments later a woman who is tall for an elf with short black hair, blue eyes like her mother walks in on two powerful legs, and is wearing green ceremonial robes. As she approaches the three of you she smiles at Lyianna greeting her with a friendly wave and a smile. While she lacks any curves that a typical woman, or head druid for that matter might have, she more than makes up for it in her muscles, her arms flexing as she waves to Lyianna and stops before the three of you. "Mother," she says with a short bow, "Lyianna, its good to see you, I heard that your studies on healing and herbology have been going well." She then hugs you and looks at the crumpled mess of human on the floor and grins at her, crouching down to look her in the eyes, "and whats your name?" the young woman blushes and breaks eye contact, embarrassed by the situation shes put herself in. "Claire..." she says softly looking angrily at the legs that betrayed her with her eyes squinted and her lips pursed. "So let me guess," Drusilia says, standing back up to full height and looking between the two of you. "Crippled Claire here thought she could just hop out of bed and take off without getting some proper rest first, that sound about right?" She said making Claire's face burn even brighter red. Vaymære nods and says, "now we need her back in the bed and to ask her some questions, and have her give us some anwsers," the elder turns to Claire, "once you've sated our curiosity im sure we can speed the healing process up a bit. But this has gotta be give and take you understand?" Claire nods, then Drusilia nods at Lyianna, "still though, thats nice work you do if she was able to jump out of bed like that" she says with a chuckle, crouching down once more to pick the girl up and set her in the bed once more.

Lyianna smiled again as she handed the woman the cup, about to speak again but blinking in surprise and hurriedly grasps the cup with a slight gasp. "Hey, don't, you're-" but by the time she had said so the girl had already flung herself up and then collapsed on the floor. She sighed in exasperation as she set the cup back on the table. "I told you that I didn't heal you completely." A smile came to her face, though, as she turned towards the voice. "It is good to see you as well, your studies are going well I hope?" She asked as she returned the hug. But upon hearing the next bit she frowned, tapping Drusilia on the arm and switching to Elven. "That was uncalled for Drusilia, she's not a cripple. She just was healed and woke up, probably still confused about her situation I'm sure." With Drusilia's help they returned the woman to the bed. Lyianna retrieved the blanket and draped it back over the woman and returning to common. "You have a pretty name Claire. I'm Lyianna, would you mind explaining how you came to arrive here?" Hoping that the slight red tinge to her face would be mistaken for anger at Drusilia. The woman had a figure that was...much different than any of the elves that she had cared for previously. She handed the cup back to Claire again, refilling it and fixing the woman with a kind yet stern look. "Slowly this time, there's plenty if you would like more. I don't want you to end up heaving it all back up after all this trouble."

Drusilia smiled, "yeah, everything is going smoothly, its just the bulk of it all that gets to me sometimes," she then blinks at Lyianna a few times after being scolded for teasing the human before nodding and continuing in Elven with a friendly smile, "oh I'm just having a bit of fun with her, figured some humor would help her relax, but perhaps your right." Claire frowns loudly as the pair of elves help her back into the bed, more at her wounded ego than at them. "I apologize for teasing you," the future head druid says with a smile, switching back to the common tongue, "I figured you could use some playfulness to help you relax, but perhaps that isn't what you need now huh?" She then takes a step back from the bed and smiles at Lyianna, that was so like her old friend, playing big sister to the injured. Claire smiles at Lyianna's kind words, sipiing more slowly from the cup this time, "thank you, your name very pretty too, but Im not entirely sure how I came to be here." She says with a confused frown. "I was with my, eh, friends?" though some of them were strange they had become the closest thing she had to friends in a long time, "and my..." Theres a long pause, she isn't sure what to call Kay, but than she blushes as she remembers his legal title, "well, hes tecnically my master I suppose,  he saved me from the slave auction in the Black Hallows." Elder Vaymære's eyes go wide at that last statement, "you mean to tell me that you were a slave of Vinerith's and managed to escape unscathed? Claire cocks an eyebrow, "define unscathed, I lactate uncontrollably, I'm in a constant state of heat that grows more uncontrollable with each passing day and I'm capable of getting pregnant very easily. I wouldn't call that 'unscathed.'" Vaymære and Drusilia's faces turn bright red at that and Drusulia turns away and says "I need a drink, and I'll go get a healing potion for Claire while I'm at it." She then walks away hurridly while muttering in elven "seven hells, thats fucked up..." The Elder shakes her head slowly, "I'm sorry to hear that, young one. We assumed the lactation was a natural part of your being when we examined you, and we did examine you thoroughly, but found no trace if a curse or other dark magic that would cause this to happen to you. I'm afraid nothing short a powerful wish spell will undo the effects of whats happened to you." Claire forces a smile, and a convincing one at that, "It'll be alright, Kay saved me and now owes Vinerith a favor, so the least I can do is help him. Thats why I need to leave as soon as Im able. I dont know what Vinerith needs from that dusty old chapel but it buys my freedom and the anwsers my friend needs. I cant lay around while they might need my help." Around this time Drusilia comes back with a large bottle with a long thin neck stoppered with a cork, the bottle itself filled with a dark red liquid (clichéd I know but fuck it, who cares.) "Here this should heal whatever Lyianna was unskilled enough to mend." Drusilia says with a wink at her life long friend and heart-sister. "Here ya go, drink up!" she finished, handing the potion to Claire, "All of this sounds like trouble to me," Vaymære adds, a brooding, comtemplative look etched on her face, "and we'd be fools to ignore it. Lyianna, while we perform the Orn èn Poldra merging ritual to enhance Drusilia's power so she can properly protect the village, I want you to accompany Claire here and try to figure out what that old lizard Vinerith is up to, whatever it is can't be good." She than turns to Drusilia and frowns, "don't you have studying to do?" Drusilia smirks, "Yes, mooom!" and waves to both Claire and Lyianna, "you two be careful," she says as she turns around and starts back to her study room, waving over her shoulder, "wish I could join ya, but you know.." Vaymære looks between Lyianna and Claire and sighs "good luck, if that dragon is involved, theres bound to be trouble." She then walks away, muttering to herself "Stupid dragon is too power hungry for her own good..."

The longer that the woman spoke, the deeper the shade of red that covered Lyianna’s face, even seeping into her ears and neck. It was certainly something that she hadn’t been expecting. The Black Hallows had been a place that she had been warned to not step foot in without keeping her head on a swivel and remaining constantly vigilant of everything and everyone about but she hadn’t known that there were trades of such a type there. She shouldn’t be surprised but her eyes grew wide and her face felt truly aflame at the next statements from Claire about the changes made to her body. It was a good thing that there was another glass there for her to pour herself water to give her time to try to compose herself. “That’s… that’s awful…. I’m sorry...” To busy herself and try to calm down, Lyianna had moved to the foot of the bed and opened the footlocker to reveal Claire’s clothing and gear. “Claire, once you’ve finished the potion that my heart-sister brings and you wish to dress, everything you had when we found you is inside this trunk, okay?” she spoke with a smile. “I have to gather some things before we venture out and speak to Drusilia at least so don’t leave without me.”

Upon saying so she had hurried after Drusilia, hoping to catch up to her. “Drusilia!” she called out as she nearly jogged through the halls. Lyianna beamed up at the woman and hugged her once she had caught up. “Please be careful while I’m gone, I won’t be here to heal your injuries from your accidents.” It was merely a joke since it was more often than not that Lyianna was the one that ended up injured from dumb accidents. “Will you please look after Eroan while I’m absent? I worry he may take risks going out into the forest deeper than usual without me to constantly curb his curiosity. He takes more after you than he does of me so perhaps what you tell him will stick with him. At the very least you know more of the forest than I do and are far better at defending yourself and others.” Lyianna sighed, not really sure how to leave and at this point, she was merely babbling. “I guess I should go get everything put together. Just, be careful and take care all right?” She reluctantly stepped back and smiled up at her again. “I will return once I’ve taken care of everything and we’ll both have plenty to tell one another. Be safe.” Once she had made her way back to Claire she felt a little better but still kind of rough. “Well, we should go and see if we can borrow weapons of some sort for you since we didn’t find any if you had any when you had fallen, and I still have to go pack what I need…”

(Lyianna)

Claire smiled sadly, "It's alright, I've come to accept it as my punishment for crossing Vinerith." She then smiles knowingly as Lyianna explained where her gear was, "sure thing Lyianna, go take care of your business, I'll be ready to go when you get back, and yeah don't worry I wont leave without you, I need to get a pair of short swords so someting doesn't eat me when we get to the Black Marshes." She then looked at the potion as Lyianna left after Drusilia, "well, bottoms up." she declares as she turned the bottle up and guzzled its contents, feeling instantly invigorated by the magical fluid, she then hops out the bed after tossing the blanket to the side once more, stretching this way and that as her bruises fade from sight. Satisfied that she would be able to hold her own once more in a fight she grins and steps up to the trunk. "alright," she says flipping the lid on the chest and putting her clothes on and pulling her clainshirt on over her head. After getting ready she walked over to the table and sat down pouring herself another glass of water and waiting for Lyianna...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drusilia turned as she heard her name being called out, it didn't surprise her that Lyianna would wanna see her in private before she left, and at best if she came back tomorrow night it would still be days before she would see her heart-sister again, due to the ritual. She embrased Lyianna in a tight hug, then smiled at her words, "me get injured? Please, you know I'm the one who does the injuring around here, it's you that needs to be careful." She said, her smile fading as she continued "Not that I don't trust Claire, bit please be careful around her. Im not entirely sure shes always able to control her urges. Not that I think she would hurt you either, but... bah, you know what I mean." She snickered as they talked of Eroan, the boy did ask alot of questions, and more often than not had to be reigned in by the adults nearby. "Sure I can keep an eye on him, most to the children know to stay on my good side, hes no different." She chuckled as Lyianna stalled for more time, "yep, better over prepared than under." She than pulled Lyianna back in for another hug, "you take care of yourself too, if I have to save your butt Im gonna make whatever hurts you seem lile a baby kobold when you get better." Finally breaking away, she said simply, "heart-sisters for life." then turned on a heel and walked away, not wanting Lyianna to know how worried she truly was.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Claire smiled as Lyianna came back in the room, standing up and finishing her water. "Yeah I would appreciate that," she said pushing the chair back in, "really don't like the idea of fighting anything with my bare hands. A pair of short swords would be a welcome addition though. Lets go get what you and I need, I'm not too keen on leaving any later than we have to." Then the two headed out, making they're way to the local weapons master whom after hearing the situation is happy to lend Claire a pair of elven short swords warning her playfully that if the swords didn't make it back to him, he would have to take up human hunting, though to Claire there seemed to be a tinge of seriousness to his joke. She then looked to Lyianna after having everything she needed. "Okay, I'll fallow your lead untill we get to the Black Marshes, from there I'll guide us back to my friends." She said with a smile. "Lets go get your stuff now."

Lyianna giggled along with Drusilia before hugging her again. “Well if it comes to that then at least I know someone will come after me. I shall do my best to be careful. Good luck with the rituals!” After that she left, meeting back with Claire and taking her to the weapons master to find some weaponry while she took a rapier and a shortbow with a quiver of arrows. It took a little longer to find a suit of leather armor that would fit properly and she had to have Claire help her find it as she was not very familiar with armor of any kind. “Well, now that this is out of the way we’ll need to stop at my home so I can gather my supplies and we’ll be on our way,” she informed the woman and led her through the village to a large tree on the northern edge. It was a small, cozy appearing building that was constructed around the base of the trunk, very basic to her but far different than any human residence. It was more like branches had been coaxed into creating a space that would work as a porch and then the interior of the trunks had become homes. “I shouldn’t take too long, but make yourself comfortable,” Lyianna spoke over her shoulder to Claire. “Feel welcome and be at ease.” She moved around to find her pack and placed everything she thought might be necessary without overfilling the pack. She placed a few spare changes of clothes at the top of all this, with her hairbrush and comb wrapped within it, before strapping the bedroll to the top. After double checking everything was correctly in order and there wasn’t anything she had left behind, Lyianna strapped the leather armor that had been dyed in greens and browns as a way to blend into the forest. “Um… Claire… would you mind, helping with this? I’m not  familiar with how armor is supposed to fit. I’m pretty sure I have it on correctly but I’m not as much of a trained fighter like you are.”

Claire maveled at the way the elven architecture was symbiotic with the forest itself, she had read stories of course but there was nothing like seeing it in person, everything from what she could see had been taken into account from the holy tree itself to the simpler housing of the other denizens of the forest, it was all very elegant. 'Arn...Ern...Orn something or other, whatever...' she thought as they wandered about the village, 'no wonder the books don't do it justice...' Then as they reached Lyianna's home Claire took a brief second to look it over, like all the others it was beautiful to look at, then as the pair enter into Lyianna's house she couldn't help but look around at the decor. At her companion's behest she walked over to a table and took a seat while she waited for Lyianna to pack her things. As Lyianna came back in the room Claire's eyes snaped back to her, trying to not appear too nosey. Her face flushes a little at the request, "help you with the armor?" Claire asks blinking multiple times. "Um... Yeah, sure, not a problem.... just uh, dont mind my hands..." She then stood up and walked over to Lyianna and circled about her looking over the fitting and how she had already put it on. "Umm, you got it on right, but it could use some fine tuning." She then tugged on the chest piece from the sides to better fit it over the elf's chest. This however, doesnt seem to do much good, as Claire leans around to look at the chest piece from the sides. "Hmm," she then loosens the loosens the buckles on the front and says "this armor wasn't, like, custom made for you huh?" Her hands slip over the top of her armor and down to her ample breasts, though not really groping her new compaion, she did have to check to see if the cups of the armor  were too small for the big boobied elf, 'I'm hope she can't see how much this must be affecting me... I need to hurry and finish this,' Claire thought as she felt the blood rush to her face. "These... could easily be D cups at the least, and your trying cram them into armor built for a C cup at best... I suppose we can make this work... but if you wear a low cut shirt of any kind, your cleavage is gonna spill out of the top a little." She then manually adjusts Lyianna's breasts for her trying not to grope her too much and cause as little discomfort as possible. After making sure that her companion's girls were as close to being in the armor as they were going to get, Claire while holding Lyianna's mamaries in place from the outside if the armor said "okay, hold the sides of the armor in place for me. Like, kinda do a hero pose for me, with your hands on your sides." She then finished up by tightening the straps and buckles on the front of her armor, though not much tighter the armor did fit a little better without restricting Lyianna's movements too much. She then did the same with the shoulder piece and the leggings, making sure that the armor fit properly in the right areas, and measuring by hand the thickness of the elven girl's shoulder, calves, and thighs in comparison to how the armor should fit. It was alot easier on these parts for Claire than it was for the chest piece. 'I really hope this doesn't become an everyday thing... all these arrousing situations are really starting to mess with my head, and it seems to have an effect on my body as well' she mentally noted as she felt her own nipples stiffen and shortly thereafter moisten with more milk. "Okay, hows that feel," Claire asked taking a step back and hoping that her milk didn't leak through her underwear and the chainmail and onto her clothes.  "If the armor feels good, and your all packed, we can head out whenever your ready."

Lyianna blinked at the repeat of her question. “Um, I’m just not familiar with how armor is supposed to fit properly. I don’t generally use armor but you seem like you would know better than I.” But she didn’t realize how in depth it was. “Um, no this wasn’t custom made. It’s just a set of armor that they had that he said should fit. I… take it that it isn’t quite correct…” Her own face flushed as well but she did as was asked, holding this and turning that way, moving as directed and trying not to think of what this would look like to someone that would walk in. A lot of what she was checking and doing to check the fitment of the armor would’ve never occurred to Lyianna and it certainly helped but it was definitely far different than what she had been expecting. She cleared her throat and smiled though since she was sure that it wasn’t meant in an unsavory manner. “Um… Well, it feels like it’ll probably be as good as it gets, thank you for the help I really appreciate it. If we end up getting time once this is over I should probably look into getting a set of armor custom made huh?” They started on their way, leaving the village now that things were taken care of. “So, the Black Marshes is where we’re headed yes? Why were you and your friends on your way there if you don’t mind my asking? It isn’t exactly a good place to go exploring.”

Claire hid her hands behind her back, and smiled at her new companion. "Oh, its no trouble, I'm happy to help." She nodded at the elven girl, indeed a set of custom armor would help Lyianna as she wouldn't need someone to cram her huge bosom into the chest piece. "True enough, a custom set would help, as you wouldn't need me to fondle you to fit you into it, not that that was what I was doing mind you. At the very least you'll be more comfortable and it'll take you less time to put it on." As the two headed toward the town entrance, made they're way to the Thee Black Marshes, with the moon hanging high in the sky. To Be Continued...

Prevously...

As Anja picks up the pouch she realizes it has a bit of heft to it (add 75 platinum pieces to your treasure, or 750 gold which ever you feel like keeping up with), then as Kay casts his detect magic spell, he senses a large ammount of necromatic magic coming from the statue, its not as strong nor as deep as the evil sensed from before but fairly strong in its own in regard, and strong enough that it almost manages to distract from the necromatic magic coming from the room to your left, the same room Claire went to. That however isn't what draws theyre attention, what catches theyre eyes is the large stone chair in the back of the room with a large cloaked skeletal figure sitting in it, with two tiny red embers of light that serve as pupils staring at the familiar looking glaive pinning him to his chair.

Crypt_Thing.jpg.a054b94b50b7aaba21c16eaea122f2d0.jpg

His piercing gaze levels on both Kay and Anja, he reaches up and pulls the Glaive out slowly, then lets it drop to the ground with a clatter. He rises from the chair slowly saying in a raspy voice, "geeeet....ooouuut..."

(Okay guys, your turn! Sorry about the wait...)

Jinni turns around. "Can I help you?" He goes back to reading the Tome of Leadership and Influance while only paying some attention to Purgat.

"How about... we leave whenever we've gotten what we came here for?" She smirks, casting a brief look at the familiar glaive. "Oh, and if you could be so kind as to tell us where the owner of that glaive went, that would be damn peachy." She casts a look around the room, paying little attention to the feeble demands of a dusty, old bag of bones.
