That's part of the plan, and why I'm writing the Tavros Residential Floor to pitch to Fen. Gotta have somewhere to put all those folks you pick up or kick off the ship.

Yeah, just stuffing everyone into Anon's Bar can't work forever, we're bound to run out of damn space in that bar, its already the most crowded location in the game if everyone that can show up there is there at the same time.

Will silk knotting be added in-game for at some point? It's mentioned in the codex but not in any of Xanthe's scenes as of right now.

I'm hoping to write an option to take Briha and Lys and have them live there. There's a lot of potential opportunity for the idea, IMO. It'd also be hella sweet if you had two pregnant waifus raising kids together amicably as neighbours. >_> Not that... this appeals to my personal breeder fantasies or anything.

I was interested in the emotional aspect of it, and got overly empathetic, and was severely disappointed in the lack of material for her... (Briha specifically) I tend to get... overly involved, in fantasy worlds. Thanks illness.

Forever alone :negative:

Myrellion as a whole was a huge mood swing from even Tarkus' level of 'almost everything is f-ed up', for me at least. I'm glad to hear that Jim is at the case, or at least is interested in writing more options for helping people there. Having your own little pregnant waifu community would also be nice.

As a side note, do we know at this point just how much difference Steele Jr. would be able to make in that whole mess-up? I know that we'd be able to make the situation much worse, because one or two of Jim's docs reference nuking Gildenmere, but would we be able really fix it?

The Golden Myr Queen talks about Nuking the Reds, as well.

Well, there's the Orange Myr research thing already, but it's not exactly a fix yet.

You can absolutely make it worse. The current plan is for a nuclear exchange to basically wipe out the surface (for both factions), for Steele to help the Reds achieve Total Victory, or to strengthen the Gold Myr's position enough that the war-hawk factions in Federation High Command have to relent and accept Juro's peace agreement (which may or may not include a kui-tan colonization effort, or the Golds getting uplifted to a new planet).

To Jim here, I have a question about Briha. How out of character would it be for Steele to offer her a chance to look after the nursery? If she will eventually have the option of being taken from No Myr's Land, and she has her own babies with Steele to look after, would it be too much of a stretch for her to look after his other potential progeny?

The group Myr deserter encounter link is broken.  It links to the shy public masturbation instead.

Fix'd.

Well, first off, I'd need to know the lay of the land RE: the Nursery. Can't really do much of a hypothetical on something that doesn't exist yet, and Savin's in the lead for the Nursery. I am definitely planning to do an X-pack where you can pluck Lys and Briha off Myrellion and take them to No Man's Land (with Lys, probably some convincing is required, since there's the whole being at her ex-wife's house deal). Briha is a trained soldier, though at one point she wanted to be a dancer, but she states she's too scarred for that to be an option. Midwifery and medicine isn't really part of her skill set, but there's no reason she couldn't help out.

I think it'd be too much of a stretch to have her look after the nursery. Mostly the skill thing. If anything, Anzhela would be a better fit than Briha, because she's a real doctor.

I have to guess that an X-pack is an extra something or other, the TiTS version of DLC perhaps? but thanks for the response and it does confirm a few of my suspicions about her feasibility in such a role. My question was more for confirmation than anything else.

You make a good point about Anzhela being more suited and perhaps Briha could be a guard or aide of some kind. Which, if both are working together, could bring up some interesting interactions between the 2 relating to the war and so on. I did look over Anzhela before this and I look forward to her being included into the game.

Lys is a character I have trouble seeing leave and becoming more than just a wartime fuckbuddy. Then again, I seem to be drawn more towards the Reds than the Golds. Won't derail the thread but won't deny that factors into it. Still, being able to convince her to come along would be enjoyable to read and I can easily see her taking up some kind of gardening/horticultural position to earn her keep.

"X-pack" is a shorthand for "expansion pack".  Back in the Dark Ages, before the internets, when games wanted to expand their content they needed to release it as an entirely separate game that required you to have the first one to install it.  The Sims abused this model to no end, because Electronic Arts is built around that sort of thing, but less ludicrous examples are things like the original Starcraft, which had the Brood War expansion pack add new units, balance changes to existing units, and a new set of three campaigns.

In Fengames parlance, an expansion pack is any time a character receives content beyond their initial offerings.  They're easily the type of content most begged for by the blog audience, who want follower additions, pregnancies, story quests, all those things that build on top of their favorite characters.

PC will probably obtain some side ventures along the way, so some qualified guards would be needed . Lys' situation would be much harder to resolve, but also much more rewarding, because you would almost literally give her a new life.

Anzhela is an awesome character, she is definitely the prime candidate for the 'Hello, nurse!' award (sorry, Vi), AND her dialogue involves a lot of cool new information. However she isn't really a good candidate for being the head of PC's Nursery since she has a strong sense of duty towards her fellow Red Myr, she has an entirely wrong medical specialization, she also knows next to nothing about TiTS 'modern' medicine or about alien biology. I'm not entirely sure about the last point since she can tend to PC's wound.

@argenten

In addition to Coach's great gaming history lesson above, in TiTS 'x-pack' usually refers to additional parts of big projects (characters, quests, etc.) that their author had decided(had been told) to not include in the initial version. E.g. Embry will get one eventually.

Maybe Anzhela could be convinced in a similar manner to Lys and Briha, especially if Steele is responsible for peace between the 2 races. I do agree she has a strong sense of duty but all that needs is a valid reason and I think it would combine with the connection the player establishes to get her to come along. As for her ability to look after the nursery, she could easily research what she doesn't know and it's safe to say she'll get plenty of hands on experience if she ends up with Steele. All else failing, 'Hello ship's nurse!"

I'm actuallly reading that thread now and thanks for the history lesson. There are large chunks of internet speak that I managed to pass by, but I digress.

Anzhela's a doctor trained to a level of medicine even we, in the early 21st century, find primitive. Nor is she a pediatrician or obstetrician. She has little business looking after babies of her own kind, let alone a variety of races using tech and practices from millenia ahead. I think it's actually less neglectful to let the VIs handle things.

Huh. People took my flippant comment about Anzhela way too seriously. :3 I suppose that's to be expected.Yeah, it's not very in character for Anzhela to do it. I was just saying out of my Red Myr characters, "Anzhela would be a better fit than Briha". The unwritten undertone was "OFC neither of them would make a good fit."

I disagree about the "primitive by our standards Red Medicine", though. It's explicitly stated in the Codex that Red Myr's medical knowledge is specifically more advanced then the rest of their tech, well above that of the WWII era. While it's not on the same scale as the UGC's tech and galactic civilization as a whole, it's nothing to be sneezed at either, and may be equal or superior to current-day Earth medical knowledge. For instance, they do, in fact, have primitive TF items. But yeah, inferior to UGC tech, and in a different medical field.

As a big fan of the your Big T scenes and NT in general I'm hoping that this is related to NT in some way?

You know what? I can probably share it. Meet my start on The Bull; A.k.a. Axel Rys Tee.

I feel very old all of a sudden, even if I never was one for PC gaming back then.

Something something Nursery bullshit something

The head of the nursery is going to be a new pre-set NPC Fen and/or myself will be writing. That said, I totally want to have it be a thing where you can either convince certain specialists to come work at the nursery (like a red myr doctor to take care of red myr kids, or a nyrean breeder to come look after your nyreas), and/or to have off-duty waifus like Reaha work there. Whether or not there's any mechanical benefit to that, idfk.

I feel like Zephyr would have at least 65 femininity. Sure she's got a dick but that doesn't make you a man. Wish she had more scenes, though. Also I can't wait for the Bull's feminine path and for beating him up (lol).

Jim, something hit me. In the Anzhela doc you've got a semi-joke thing about Cpt. Antmerica. I find it'd be better if it was Amyrica?

When did Zeph get an extra dick???

This kind of shock is like when I found out her dick is supposedly only 6 inches long, but she has like the 4th highest cock volume or something.

As far as I can tell, Zephy doesn't have a class file, so she doesn't have femininity or anything regarding her genitalia formally defined.

Yup. Also, I'd note that what The Bull has a gigantic reaction to is the presence of male hormones e.g. Testosterone. As Zephyr is an Amazon Bull, she likely gives off the same powerful scenty musk that Bulls enjoy.

Also, consider this evidence:

“Turns out I got a rare side effect of the treatment. You don’t usually get all big, muscular, and confident unless your a guy, or at least packing a dick when you take it. Something went wrong in my dose though, or maybe my hormones were already imbalanced, I don’t know.”
“Imagine this place if all the guys were soft, demure faux cows and the girls were all authoritative bitches like me.”
“Get out of here before I wind up throwing you over the desk and raping your ass. That bitch’s pheromones always drive me crazy.”

She's not a dainty little non-competitive flower, is what I'm saying. Someone an instinct-driven bull would definitely lock horns with re: protecting their turf.

Also, at least you're not coding a backlog of shit? :3
