I guess there might be a way to force new members to read to faq, rules and other important shit. When you create a account the site force directs you to read the damn thing beforehand. Doubtful it'll work since I think such a function would pretty much be like a terms of service thing which most people really don't read.

I've seen it done, it doesn't make things better. It either makes people want to make redundant threads, or makes those that have legitimate questions worried that they missed something, so fearing a hostile community, they hesitate to (or just don't) post their question, reducing or ending their enjoyment of the game.

Either way to make people read that general questions or FAQ wouldn't help. All we can is shoo...reply to those lost souls to guide them back to pornlight. Like a smut shepards to guide them on good path (with a bit of verbal violence if needed).

You don't. People just stop posting on it and it slowly fades into the abyss. If you really wanted it locked, you could probably pester Ted, but there really isn't much point.
