Zaalt and The Steps Going Forward

Howdy all,

I was just wondering, are there any plans for Zaalt going forward? And if not, what would and would not be acceptable content for him to have should I want to write something down for him?

Personally, I was thinking of having him be a crew members following him sending out a distress call.

Plotline -
Spare Zaalt during his questline -> Accept his distress call -> go and save him from a group of void pirates -> take him back to Tarkus Space Station -> Speak with him (Learning about his backstory and Kara's history) -> Pay for him to have his ship fixed (50000 credits) -> Speak with him and go with him to his ship and have it attacked once again (this time being destroyed outright) -> Speak with Zaalt again and tell him that he owes you and to make him become your crew member in order to pay back his debt.

Zaalt Crew Member -
More information about him and his backstory.

Raise his affection by sparring with him. Defeat him several times and get access to sex scene.

Have sex with Zaalt several times and get the option to make him become more submissive or assertive.

Optional -
Have Zaalt and Eitan talk and gt into a slight rivalry with one another due to their personalities clashing.
See the pair fight and try and dominate one another -> Adds sex scenes

Have Zaatl and Kase interact (possible threesome) with Zaatl teasing Kase every now and again, to the point where he goes out of his way to dominant the other.

Sleeping Option -> Sleep with Zaalt and have him possibly steal money from you while you sleep, opening the chance to catch him in the act and punish him (sexually or spanking) with a Reflex check. (Opens up Dialog about possibly gambling addiction and debts he owes)

Gift (If pay him after learning about gambling addiction)
Weapon - A green laser saber
Armor - Stolen Armor
Underwear - Zaalt's thong
Accessory - Good Luck Charm

Writing different variations based on Steele's personality (and other attributes) is actually common practise, so there's no need to include the 'neutral' variants. Steele is always either Nice, Mischievous or Hard (depending on their personality score) and can also be either a Bimbo or a Bro. These variations are also not restricted to being in single groups; you can put them pretty much anywhere you want them to. Assuming you can understand it, looking at the source code for the original Ice Queen distress call should give you a good idea about how that works while also being relevant to the content you're writing.

Also, you might want to think about adding variations based on how Steele's last meeting with Zaalt went down i.e. whether or not Kara was present and, if she was, how the situation with the psi-amp was resolved. These might not be relevant in what you've already written up, but they'll definitely be worth at least a mention in later content.

On a side note: nine Black Void troopers and a Juggernaut, all without a break? That's a lot. My Steele could probably handle that (since she hardly ever uses Energy or takes Health damage), but other Steeles who need to recuperate after intense combat might find it difficult, especially if the troopers are levelled up compared to their KaraQuest2 version. I don't think it's something you have to worry about right now, though keep in mind that those fights may have to be changed if the people testing them find them too hard (or easy).

I will take care of that during the next part where Zaalt will be in The Freezer in Uveto since I know that specific buttons can be created dealing with certain past scenarios.

Can these enemies drop a health pack/energy stim pin like the Milodan Alpha?

No they can't. Maybe turn it in to a 3-4 tile map quest? Also maybe this should have an intro scene for Zaalt dis.call, i mean idk maybe PC have him saved in their friendly ship ID list or something...

The Black Void trooper/Juggernaut encounter happens twice aleady via KaraQuest2 and RiyaQuest. I'm sure PCs will be able to handle it a 3rd time.

Just FYI: currently, taking the broken psionic amplifier in the previous quest actually sets a flag that's meant to disable future encounters with Zaalt. It doesn't affect any content that's currently in-game, though, so I don't blame you for not knowing about it. I suppose Savin intended that taking the amp would make Zaalt so pissed off at Steele that he'd never want to see them again. It's not necessarily a deal-breaker, though, since there is a way to get around that flag.

Hi

Was wondering if you went ahead with this/it's ongoing or if it was scrubbed or something cuz i couldn't find it in the submission forum?

Either way I really liked what you wrote, hope Zaalt gets that expansion someday :)

  • The rescue event needs some cleaning up, text-wise, but most critical of all is that it lacks much in the way of content for its combat encounters at all. There's not really enough to work with there.
  • These documents are a bit of disorganized mess.
  • You might be better off trying to consolidate your efforts down to one step at a time: either a simpler bar encounter+recruitment path OR start with the rescue event and fully flesh it out, submit that, THEN start on the post-dungeon stuff.
If someone could help me with these issues I'd be grateful.

First of all name the docs you link.
Second of all your headings are such a mess I am going to write an example doc with clear instructions on how to make your dungeon encounter document more understandable and most importantly how to use headings and merge to variations I will link it here when I am done.

The document looks a lot cleaner but:
  1. You have met literally only one of the four dungeon requirements and as I said before you need to meet at least 2. (More is better)
  2. the one you met (puzzle) isn't even properly met as you don't even know
    1. what kind of puzzle it is (you should base it of already existing puzzles or design your own puzzle)
    2. why is their a need for a puzzle (for example the black void used a device on the door interface and requires a puzzle to remove) (they obviously placed it there to prevent anyone from going in whilst they cleaned the compound)

  4. this is a porn game at least add some sex into the dungeon or as a reward for completing it.
