How do I fix this? Do I have to wait? I've waited a few days in game but it still says there are no open profiles.

There's a cool-down on Extrameet, once you've done it on one planet then that planet will have a period of about a week game time IIRC before you can do it again. You can try another planet.
Also, some planets don't have any Extrameet content yet - where are you trying this?

It's a 30-day cooldown, actually; otherwise, the above is correct.
