i dont know what im doing wrong, i dont know what flags im missing, but i cant for the life of me get either serena to invite me to the lyceum or get specters of the wyld to proc.

yes, i have. i have given it to her, she told me to hold onto it, now im waiting to get invited to the lyceum, i have spent an in game week visiting her at the bar, but apparently she cant be fucked to invite me
How many times have you spoken to Serena?
If you've spoken to her three times, the third-time conversation causes the lyceum visit to become valid. Then you have to visit the lyceum tile at the correct time (late morning/early afternoon) in order to actually do the visit.

when i say i visited her over the course of an in game week i mean exactly that. i have talked to her every day for over a week and i have not had an invite to her lyceum. there is also no lyceum tile on the map that i can tell.

When you've properly unlocked the visit, the tile will even be starred during the hours when the visit can happen, which should be between 8:30 and 12:30. If you aren't paying attention when talking to Serena (say, because you're trying to speed into her Talk menu) it's easy to miss the invitation itself.

To answer you, it could be missable if you haven't interacted with her at Ember's Tamphouse (the bar run by the red futa salamander with the big magic tits), but it's very hard to, since she'll always be there between 13:30 and midnight, and the third time you interact with her she'll spin the invitation to you. Also, the quest she gives you is unlocked by one of her talk options Choose the "Village" option, then choose "Fishing". Once you adquired the dye, and as long you haven't sold it already, just choose the option "Dye?" and the quest will proceed as normal by itself
For the lyceum visit, just go to the square just in front of the intersection before the coliseum, where the text starts giving you a description of the statues of the gods. If she has invited you already, a button will appear in your console, and choosing it will bring you to a one-time event where you visit the school. Very hard to miss, as long as you are there at the right time (school is in session from 8:00 to 12:00. Going before or after that time window will not let you choose the propmt to go to the school)
Sorry, is it possible for me to accidentally say NO to going for the lyceum? like how I just zoom thru and mistakenly press it
Yes, thee's no option to refuse the invitation, and you won't access the lyceum unless you choose the prompt, which will inmediately take you there and play the event
