Asking someone to abide by your desired language when they've freely used their own, have not as-yet been corrected by society or other higher powers, and others don't find it that objectionable to begin with; that is in itself asking an artist to self-censor for your benefit.
You are wrong.
You are confusing asking for self-censorship with giving constructive criticism.
OP asked if Fen&co could remove/change one word to make their (and other's) experience of the game better, and explained their reasoning.
Fen&co answered that no, they wouldn't follow OP's suggestions, and gave reasons why (not enough PC or neutral synonyms), which OP accepted. It is now in their hands to choose whether they want to play the game.
At no point was censorship or self-censorship involved.

Hell, I would think that if the word is such a trigger for some, maybe they ought to avoid porn altogether since it's likely to pop up now and then
Would you avoid something you enjoy entirely, just because there happens to be some things you can't stand in some of the content you like?

I'm not meaning to come off as elitist or anything, but to establish a position of "logical extremism" inasmuch as one could contribute without further harming the discussion at-hand
So far, you don't come off as elitist so much as pretentious, highly emotional, uneducated on the subject at hand, and lacking empathy and sympathy for others. And I say that because of what you wrote as an overreaction.

That post^^^ wasn't an essay that brought "logical extremism" to the discussion, it was an emotional outburst full of prejudice, whataboutism, and "But I don't want Fen to change these NPCs' pronouns".
Which also shows a lack of reading comprehension, because what we're discussing is an offensive descriptor for a certain bodytype.

Are you just shit-posting for attention, or deliberately misusing memes in an attempt to appear "internet cool" in front of a bunch of randoms on a forum? I'm legitimately concerned you've become so deluded about your own personal problems being non-existent that your life is now you sitting in front of a laptop all day, picking fights with people for the sake of feeling some form of accomplishment with himself. I worry about you, sir, and I hardly know ye. Please seek help. And sunlight.
You only officially joined the forums yesterday, but I feel like I've already seen your posts around here before. And if they weren't yours, they were your brother's. It was not a pleasant encounter.

What about this thread set you off anyway? Why did you feel the need to post a rant, when the discussion was nearly over?

ON TOPIC : Ultimately I guess we could find+replace all instances of the word "shemale" with "dickgirl", but I think that last word could become repetitive pretty soon? On account on there not being that many synonyms for that particular bodytype. So it wouldn't really be worth the effort.

In a rather obvious attempt to inject some levity into this thread before it tips into a blazing inferno, for dickgirl, could we perhaps use "penislady"? "Cockwoman"?

Or is that a little much?

What's a potato to you is a tomato to me. We're not going to agree on perception, so let's move on from this one.

Would you avoid something you enjoy entirely, just because there happens to be some things you can't stand in some of the content you like?

I'm not sensitive enough that if something I enjoy contains something I don't like will immediately invoke a reaction where I ask for someone to change that one thing to further my enjoyment. MGQ has vore, which I dislike. I still played/play it despite the content. I don't complain or express a position where I wish the developers would change one or a dozen things because I find it offensive.

You seem to be missing the disconnect, here. If a word bothers someone so much they feel obligated to ask the developers to change it, did they actually enjoy the rest of the content to begin with? Or, is this a nitpick for the sake of nitpicking? I'm more curious about the why and how, rather than the answer itself. You don't solve problems by observing the result and saying "this is fine."

"Offensive" according to a small fraction of the overall larger population of the forums. You're right, I am apathetic towards people who get offended by inoffensive things, and then ask for them to be changed because they're offended. I wouldn't say it's over-emotional, either. It's more like someone who is fed up with the PC culture bs, expressing a strong position, and then in a follow-up post realizing maybe they went a bit overboard on things. Now, in terms of "prejudice" and "whataboutism", the former is more related to research into the how's and why's of transgenderism and mental health, and the latter is more your personal interpretation. We could discuss our views on this in private at length if you want.

Wasn't my brother, wasn't my mother, wasn't my sister, wasn't my father. On the internet, everyone is one person. We are legion, blah blah blah.

I happen to prefer spear-matron, shaftmaiden, phallic mother or spade-queen myself, but hey, you do you :)

finding these corny synonyms sounds like something Victorian era racy slang could be used for

Back on topic, pole-mistress, cannon-lady, plank-wielding ma'am, pipe-layer? That last one is stretchy and neutral, though. We can't have neutrality in our porn, people! /sarcasm.

...and after people worked so hard to turn this thread around. Sorry in advance, y'all.

There's only one person here who's been throwing tantrums about trivial shit. For someone so against snowflakes, you sure seem to melt down a lot.

I suggest once again that you give it up, these bizarre and self-contradictory ramblings aren't going to change the opinion of literally the only poster in this whole thread (other than the OP) who has argued against the word, and not even that strongly (i.e. me).

Are you done? Move on already, dude.

BACK ON TOPIC...

How neutral can we get? I feel like if we're gonna change this word, we gotta start thinking about objectifying the dick rather than using pronouns which can be applied to both genders. Something like "pipe-cleaner", "garden hose", "pink snake."

Admittedly, that last one sounds like an 80's hair metal band. From their album, classics such as "In Her Hair Tonight", "Cum on Feel the Boyz", and "Some Like it Hot."
