Inspired by a post over in the ideas thread, I whipped this together as a quick and dirty way to strip off skin flags you no loner want. You can either apply it normally to the skin, which is how you remove flags, and it has a chance to change skin color. Or, you can ingest the TF, which causes you to gain the lubricated flag on body parts that support it (Skin, Tongue, Cock, Vagina),

There may be a bad end if you consume the lotion while already being fully lubricated...

G-Doc Here: Skin Clear
Original Thread: Lotion TF

If anyone has thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

Looks great to me :D
Being all lubed up all the time would certainly be pretty arousing.

What's the problem with bark, plant and goo? Shiny, slick or shimmering should work fine. I am most probably just missing something and will bang my head against the next wall, but please enlighten me.

Indeed! It could even make you... wet.

... I'll see myself out.

Nah, you're not missing anything. I just couldn't think of anything to write for Bark or Plant. As for Goo, I plan to prevent this TF from working with it. Otherwise, it'll strip the goo skin flag from your character. Need to think of a better way to phrase "Didn't do squat" for when a Goo-PC uses it.

Update: You gave me an idea. Plant/Bark skin now gets a 'Dewey' descriptor!

If you use it enough times, it also gives you constantly glistening skin that slightly boosts sexiness
Might not be the best idea, since logically this will require all instances of oily skin to provide it and will make a clearly combat superior cosmetic transformation.

I dunno about combat superior. The trade off for the Oiled skin perk is a boost to arousal, similar to Rubber-Made. As well, the transformations themselves cause an increase to Libido, making it easier for you to be affected by tease attacks.

If it being a perk is too strong, I could changed it to a status effect. Maybe have it lasts for a little under/over a day? That way, it wears off instead of being a constant buff the player has on their checklist of required transformations to acquire.

I dunno. Anyone got any thoughts?

Actually, I've just tried Rubber Made in 0.7.02 and the perk you get from it doesn't increase Sexiness stat. +5 min Lust isn't a fair trade-off compared to +2 sexiness. Unlike in CoC, Libido has zero effect on in-combat vulnerability to Lust attacks.

Do you mean that on each reapplication past getting the normal skin type + Smooth flag PC, the item will give a temporary +Sexiness status effect?

Ah, crud, I thought Libido still functioned as a decrease to tease damage resistance. Right, that isn't a fair trade off. Definitely needs to be changed.

While that was my idea, I see how that could cause issues. Requiring the player to constantly have normal skin with the smooth flag to get a temporary buff to sexiness limits players options considerably more than the original perk does. Hmmm...

GOT IT! Instead of using it on the skin as intended, you can misuse the TF by drinking it. It then has a completely different effect: causing your body to produce a steady stream of oil, making you all shiny. This does not cause changes to the PC's skin type or skin color. Gives the small sexiness boost, with min arousal increase, and is lost upon showering. What do you think?

You'll have to run this idea past the the devs and spend some time tweaking the numbers, mostly to balance the stat boost against both the downside and the cost. The effect shouldn't be too big, but on the other hand this is also a specialized TF item, so it can't be very cheap.

Overall I quite like the concept. The only problem left is to come up with an explanation for why this item provides the bonus, while other things that give some form of lubricated skin don't. Or to come up with upscaled but still balanced versions of the same effect for those things.

Hmm... looking at the wiki, it seems goo skin is the only one that's naturally lubricated. I think I'll keep the ingesting idea in order to cause the skin to gain the lubricated flag, and then using it normally removes flags and changes color. I'll also bump up the price to 2500, since you make a good point about it being a specialized TF.

As for the other factors, I think I'll split off the sexiness increase into a different TF/variant of this TF, maybe have it work in conjunction with lubricated flag/sweat status effect. It needs more thought, since a TF to increases Sexiness would allow people to wear non-sexy armor and still do decent damage with tease attacks.

You can also get it from the Mimbranes if you toggle their sweating and from Kerokoras Venom. The latter is even aphrodisiac laced, though it doesn't do anything AFAIK.

Really? I didn't know that. Neat-o. I usually don't use Kerokoras venom, cause I don't care for the other frog features, but I may need to give that a try sometime. For now, I've altered it so that the TF can be used two different ways, on the skin and ingesting. Skin works as it did before, but I removed all references to an oiled perk. Now, ingesting will give you the lubricated flag, and it can affect skin, penis, vagina, and tongue. Also adding short blurbs for Brute/Bimbo support, as eating a skin only TF is just the kind of thing a Brute/Bimbo might do.

You could even do something similar to Rubber-made bad end. You have to be a bimbo/brute to eat the rubber-made in the first place, but if you eat a TF Lotion twice in a row you must be really
unintelligent.

Who knows what could happen... :iiam:

Such mysteriousness! But that's not a bad idea at all. I might have it that if you eat the TF while already having the lubricated flag on all possible body parts, there's a bad end. Then you need to really be trying to get it. Like... your body melts into creamy goop or something. Sentient lube puddle is a pretty bad end, right?

It most certainly would be a bad end, but not necessarily adventure-ending. We can already play as a pile of sentient goo after all. There would have to be something to go along with it for such a side effect to make sense as a bad ending.

The best idea that I could come up with is that the transformative properties of the TF Lotion become condensed in the PC's body, causing any other organic that touches you to become a lotion-creature as well. I can't think of a reason for the PC to cause a zombie-like plague of these creatures though, that would really wrap the ending up.

The PC spreads as an infection, turning everyone they touch into lust-zombies, ropes and streamers of lubricant dripping from them to form a connective network. Across those corrupted, the PC's personality is copied, a bizarre hive mind dedicated to fucking everyone and everything. Soon, the entire planet is infected, one giant hive of debauchery, coated in shiny seas of lube. With that, it turns to the stars, preparing to expand its sticky tendrils to the stars beyond...

AND ITS ALL BECAUSE OF NANOMACHINES! THANKS A BUNCH, DAD!

Depends on your rendition of the term "wonderful", but to me hiveminds are quite horrifying. Fascinating, but most probably horrifying. Like way too scary and alien for my taste, but then again that is just me.

But you are already in a hivemind. We call it the "internet".... :Y

Yes, and I've always found it to be horrifying, alien and scary.

I am aware this item is still a WIP, but I've recently implemented it in a pull request due to its simplicity. The initial item seems to work fine as a base product (I had to add in some dud blurbs if all the possible effects have been attained already), but please feel free to add more transformation effects and any bad ends, if at all possible.

Because it's J'ejune, a dud effect can also be given regardless of eligibility. Currently, it is unlockable from Ceria's shop at the same time Dove Balm is, however, it will require reading up on the Rubber-Maid codex so that the tooltip makes sense in context (and it rewards the player for actually viewing the codex entries).

However, if you do not think this item is ready for release, I can disable it from unlocking until it is ready.

Great work as always, Jacques sama. Though I'm curious as to why you've decided to make it Main Quest Planet 3+ unlock.

No particular reason, really. I just wanted it to unlock along with the other "skin care" item so I wouldn't have to write a similar blurb of display racks in Ceria's shopkeeper description.

Got it. Though you can always ask Owens to do that if he'd approve of Ceria being the vendor for this item.

It's fine. The line reads "Another rack holds what seem to be various tubes of skin balms," so I just appended a "and lotions" to that, after the Skin Clear item is unlocked. Would it be better if I modify it to where the planet unlock isn't necessary, just viewing the codex entry?

Edit: I did just that--it should be unlockable after reading the codex. The planet unlock isn't necessary.

I have no problem polishing up the item if you would like it implemented. There's a few loose ends I need to write, such as the bad end, but I can finish them when I have some free time later tonight.

Alright, its as close to finished as I can get it in one night. I've added all the possible transformations, via both normal use and miss use, and I finished the bad end. There's also a bit of Bimbo support, for those that like that sort of thing. Its a bit more than I thought it would be when I started, but hey, I'm pretty happy with it. @Jacques00 , it should be ready to be pulled now. If there's anything wrong with it, I can try and fix it when I wake up.
