The newly reborn Victor Steele retakes the reins of his empire, masquerading as Steele Jr or your cousin and putting the surviving offspring/niece/nephew in stasis as a "backup" (after all, can't have witnesses running around). The cycle goes for hundreds of years with each successor not knowing that their sire is actually Victor Steele, sending them on a quest that will ultimately end in their doom and Victor's rebirth.
