Tamani is actually Steele Jr.'s mother, and the picture of Victor, S.J., and their mother is from when she was younger, before she became CEO of Tamani Corp. Victor had her sign a NDA, and paid her off to make sure she didn't have any contact with Steele Jr. All her design efforts over the years are due to her suffering undiagnosed postpartum depression.
Well that’s dark

Wait.

Since when could you knock up a relative of one's Steele? I only recall there being a half-sister in game.

its still part of her, no?
This particular on has not even bounded right with her and keept some of its own mind.

We will be able to blow up the piratebase. We will have to rush to our ship to escape while all goes into chaos.
The place will be compleatly destroyed and no part of it will survive.
All NPCs writers do not want to die will then be found on diffrent planets, may or may ot knowing what you did.

On the positive note, you can pick up the Map pretty easyly out of the debris of the base, makeing it the fastes method.
Well, if you are willing to leet hunderts of people, pirates, scum and slaves alike, die for your gain, that is.

Not Earth
Got some stupid theory:

Captain Steele is actually the Nervarine from Morrowind.

He/she is able to manipulate CHIM and jump timelines (save and load) until pleasing outcomes occur.

Nym Foe is actually the Tarkus Nurse Droid and Dr Badger merely “stole” her and modified her.

I thought Nym Foe being the Tarkus Nurse Droid was at least implied, not a wild guess...

Crazier guess everyone is a human with a costume on and the ship is just a simulation ride, instead of flying from planet to planet you've been on the Tarvos station with a different background and on a different level you never left. Every new person that you meet is a new actor hired on to fool you into thinking your on a rush it would explain why everything wants to fuck you instead of kill and or eat you.

You're not going for your inheritance at all, you're just a bio-engineered ultrapornstar. Like a space porn Truman Show.

Anyway, back to the crazy ass theories.
Max Steele will eventually disown the Rival because off their repeated failure to get the probes, instead resorting to legally challenging Captain Steele's right to inherit the company Victor built.

On the day they finally go to court, the judge turns around in their chair to reveal....Vic! He's still alive and punks his brother before signing over the company to his child.

And that's when they have the 80s dance party ending.

Rodney Dangerfield MCs the party.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Victor was still hanging in there. But if your take over 3650 days in your play through... he dies. :(

I'm pretty doubtful that the Rival is going to be an actual contestant in the running for your inheritance for much longer.

Also Xenogen is an galaxy-spanning megacorp. A dinky little WW2 level war on a single planet ain't gonna be profitable for them. Especially when their profit is found in selling a luxury item and making those luxury items out of species that really need to be sticking around and not blowing themselves and potential other finds the fuck up.

pretty sure they make their money on the fact everyone blows each other. XD

Victor's family name is only Steele because he changed it so it would be cool and thematic after he gained his fortune from mining, and his birth last name is something lame and generic, like Smith or something.

On a similar vein, Vic also purposefully left a kid with Shade's mom because "Irons" fit the mining theme.

What I'm trying to say is that Vic is a melodramatic nerd.

I feel like you'd need a character to develop in order to have character development.

A tutorial, 3 probes, an email, and 2 cameos in sex scenes has shown very little of the Rival beyond "I'm you spoilt cousin who may or may not be racist and also kinda a bitch but your dad said not to hold it against me despite the fact that I never give you much of a reason to care for me outside of a bad end." And that is me being generous.
