Not a charmer guy, but if you steal from Eirina after having sex with her during tychris, you can give the book to Evergreen for a mallachite staff that applies Blessing to a target after heal. Elosa's temple also has an axe that's good for charmers/spellblades tho I think it got modified?
Does the Blessing apply on ANY heal, like for example, would a full party heal also pop that Blessing on everyone? If so, that's pretty damn strong.... plus, Tychris can be tackled fairly early, all things considered.

Correction, it's when you cast a spell on an ally, and no, aoe spells don't seem to count but charmer's perk doubling buff duration does.

Funny stuff from blue flame blade with Fami and Pest, as with eye of weakness the attacked enemy gets six turns of on fire while the others gets 12 turns
is there a toxic shock equivalent for burning, because that seems really good if there is

No, the only thing similar is deflagrating touch which causes target to burn permanently and gains +25 crit chance against burning enemies, another good option for pestilence is the debuff nuke that is Hypercranial combustion that reduces all Defense and Evasion to 0.

I prefer pairing flesh to stone with kiyoko for strenght wizard as coastlands enemies have a lot of turns which ends up frequently killing them on the same round I proc it, even better if they live long enough for pestilence to spread it.
Good point, always forget a power or two. Storm Skald could make this more potent with Thunderous Cleave.

Heavy weapon tag on a support charmer is a sad sight in my opinion.

Sadly no as far as I know. Azzy's Poison Edge power could be abused along with Rin and the swords maybe?

Burn order with Deflagrating Touch is weird as the infinite burn makes all other sources lesser once in place but if applied after a timed one it sticks around still.
So Charmer can be pretty flexible with how it plays...

For Support, do I just want to stack buffs/heals and let Hexlet Cait/Spirit Totem Arona go to town on enemies while I keep a tank in the wings to absorb a few hits?

And with Melee Charmer, that seems a bit more specialized, but in a good way. For my first foray into Kitsune Charmer, do you have any suggestions for what sort of charmer set would be better to play with, assuming I keep Kiyoko in the party for Flavor reasons?
Are you set on hex Cait and Spirit Arona? If you want to try others I did a write up on all of them here. Support charmer fits well into a tank and healer set up with some wiggle room in Vestal Cait, Double damage can be done with support of Crackle and Kunai to help proc Twist the Knife and get a free turn. Support can also get use exclusively with Thief due to Eye For Weakness, it depends if you really want those longer debuffs. With support charmer the debuffs are fine but the buffs you can apply to the party is the main idea with some support debuffs that can be mixed in.

My main support set was for a bit making use of FoxFire, Acid Flask, A buff power/Allure and Roaring Storm. Acid Flask or Estrus Flask for cunning use along with Roaring Storm and FoxFire for chip, the last slot could be a buff power or the flask could be switched out for it and then I would always try to run allure for damage. The set can be readily changed to do more with buffs but the backbone of Allure was important in my mind to help deal damage.

Melee Charmer wants powers that gives them buffs that help, some buffs are balanced by only being for one turn like Blur but can be doubled. some power that can be used and abused are things like Eviscerate, Savage Strike/Fury Strike, any power that can grant Obscured, Shielding Smite, Venom Strike, Night Shroud, Take Cover, Unbreakable, Hornet Blade, Sneak Attack and any other buffing power. Keeping Kiyoko makes her hard to slot but Kami-no-Michi or Onmyodo could work with Vestal Cait to tank and heal. Blue Flame Blade is assumed to be ran for the extra damage in all sets other then with Sneak Attack, Charge weapon can also be used but your picking fox for a reason.

Magic charmer can also work due to some spells giving buffs that can be abused too

Think I can get away with a slow Support? Presence/Cunning/Willpower, foregoing agiltiy...? It would make my buffs go off sooner, yes, and make emergency heals easier... Presence/Cunning are non-optional, since Presence basically exists because of this class, and Cunning... well, I like the dialogue changes and the idea of a sharp-witted girl becoming a kitsune with all that guile. Problem then becomes, if I go Wil, I obviously go slower. Foxfire and Roaring Storm do FAR more damage, though, and I believe my heals will... well, heal harder, especially thanks to critical heal chance. Conversely, if I go Agility, I move before the enemies (most of the time), and I can probably evade if a stray hit comes my way... but Roaring Storm + Foxfire won't really do any damage thanks to their reliance on Willpower.

What I usually do is forgo Willpower and boost it when I have the ability to boost it with boons. FoxFires damage even with low Willpower keeps up with other damage At-wills from my testing due to the burn effect, its less damage but still a debuffs they have to deal with. But if that does not seem very enticing then I would just use one of the other good At-Wills for support such as Bolstering Dance, Great Heal, Cadence of Power, or Bardic Cadence. You could also get use out of Zo's powers such as Tranquility which does scale with Presence, Twisted Pyre could help a spell blade companion deal more damage. For Encounter powers like Flesh to Stone, Rime Veil, or Song of Splendor could fill in. My two listed there are for the chip more then anything, I did use to use Dawnbreak for the weapon buff support.

The only worry about forgoing Agility is that some enemies on the first turn will not be potentially debuffed, if one of those is a dangerous enemy then that would be a problem. Other than that I do not see a reason why it would be the worst.

Okay, awesome, thank you for all your help! I do have just one more question, it's about Boons! There are boons that, for example, "Maximize" a stat. Exactly how high does it boost said stat exactly?

highest it can be for your level. So as if you'd increased it every level with your stat points and had a +3 to it from background/race/class combo

Oooooh, alright! And since they usually last 24 hours... I can pretty much just have 4 maxed stats. That's good, actually. Means I can have a high cunning character in a build that doesn't really need cunning that much. That's a relief.

Try one those four but maybe add some extra spice to it and try a solo challenge.

I actually was planning to try a solo run after testing out all the classes. From my testing so far, Warrior might be best, at least initially, for the raw survivability, but eventually leaning into Spellblade, since a good spellblade can hit... well, pretty much everything.

Some of the boons have inventory versions that I think apply to the entire party, Kiyoko can give you the bento box for willpower from visiting her once every 4 days, apple centaur in harvest valley gives max agility item from milking her and pupper pale ale from pupperidge farm increases toughness

So, I've completed the first two Acts a couple times now over the past month or so. I've tried various builds, with pure Crit Thief and Spellblade White Mage Valk being two of my absolute favories.
Oh would you mind sharing the crit thief build? Its something I've been meaning to try myself

Sure thing. Build Thief how the game tells you. Str/Agi/Cun. You'll want to dual wield. Most one-handed weapons work, but Kunai are REALLY good with it thanks to their residual bleed, but anything with +Crit should be fine. I used Balanced Blades for a large majority of the game. That's kind of the rule for ALL of your gear. Focus on things that amp your crit rate that you find along the way. A great early stance is Equanimity that you can get from Zo, which gives you a really nice chunk of crit rate and crit damage. Silver Mask makes both even stronger. I remember Gloves of Giant Strength being really nice. Hana's White Blossom Ring is CRUCIAL for this build for reason you'll see in a bit.

For powers, you'll want Onslaught (taught by Isadora Training), Whirlwind (Level 8 Warrior) and Eviscerate (Level 6 Warrior) and Abjure (Black Mage Ult) OR Kitsuneki (Kitsune Ult). Either Works. At level 8, also replace Equanimity with Shadow Stance. It'll pare back Crit Rate slightly, but the tradeoff is way higher crit damage, much lower threat, and opening up your head slot for whatever gear you might find with, again, crit rate. Shore up your team with a tank (I found huge success with Arena Armor Brint) and a healer (Royal Vestment Etheryn was made for this) and you'll be just fine. Most importantly: At level 7, get the Eye for Weakness Skill. At level 9, either of the options are about equal in my testing, so I don't THINK there's one too much stronger than the other, but I could be wrong.

So here's how it works. Thieves passively get extra damage on opponents suffering from ANY debuff. And your job is to be the machine that sets them. Trash Mobs are typically deleted on Turn 1 with Whirlwind and if not, you usually don't need to work much to finish the rest off. During bosses, open with Onslaught. This will set the Onslaught Victim on the opponent. This is where it gets silly. With Onslaught Victim, every successful hit gives you +20 Attack Power on that opponent, until you get stunned or interrupted, causing the power to fall off. Just keep attacking and it'll keep building. This is why Eviscerate is best: 6 attacks in one turn comes out to a STAGGERIING 120 Attack Power. By the time this build comes online (realistically Level 7), you'll be critting reliably enough to proc the White Blossom Ring over and over again. If you're using Kunai, the bleed damage riding is fantastic chip. There were instances were I two-turned later bosses with Onslaught -> Whirlwind, before I could even hit with Eviscerate.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Eye for Weakness allows us to do something really silly. Abjure kills ghosts and golems instantly, but against living targets, it provides a 3-turn stun... but with Eye of Weakness? Your opponent is stunned for SIX turns. Pop Abjure at the start of any duel, and the opponent will almost certainly be dead by the time it wears off. However, some enemies do nullify Stun. That's why Kirsuneki is a valid fallback... it inflicts an enormous amount of debuffs, each of which, with eye of weakness, will last EIGHT turns. It's simple in execution, and very, very fun to pull off, but takes a while to really come into its own.

Hmm I wonder if the sword that buffs eviscerate would be good here? Maybe use chrysanthemum petal (balanced blade looks a lot better than it is, even when critting its not worth the 5 base damage) and Fury to make eviscerate a 12 hit? Is kunai really needed for twist the knife if you have arena Brint inflicting debuffs on everyone?

Kunai's bleed is pretty strong, but if you already have the sword that doubles the hits of Eviscerate, you probably don't need it. Yes, tested it out. Onslaughted Enemy getting hit by upgraded Eviscerate is a HUGE +600 attack power. And at that point if you're not one-shotting whatever you're hitting, you're probably not supposed to beat it lol.
