Basically what it says, I'm doing a new playthrough and I'd like to go for the overpowered build. Any tips or tricks are also appreciated.

Fen just did a weapon overhaul and I think some of the armor was redone as well but you might want to check out the armor section of the wiki.

I think it depends on what you're going up against. Though i would say that the void armor from kara quest 2 is the most important piece of armor in the game currently for it's potent resists

Weavemail coat wins for raw defence, void plate armor wins in resists. Premium Armstrong suit wins for shield. No idea what current best evade armor is

I think the best evade item in the game (it's not an armor though) is the Jetpack you can get on Uveto.
That's an accessory item and something everyone is bound to be using. Evasion is something largely to be found on 'sexy' items, I believe the winner is the gem links from Carbonado.

I'm not counting the jetpack because you should be using it anyways. There really isn't any point to a evasion equipment setup if you're equipment evasion is bellow 22%.

Why would you be using the jetpack when you can be using hte anti-blind thing instead? I've found that being blinded is by far the worst thing that can happen to you, other than stuns... And you can't block stuns, unlike blind.

Unless there's some way to avoid blindness without using that, that I don't know of

It works for smugglers, who use evasion as their prime defensive stat.

I roll with a jetpack, reaper mk. I (or was it mk. II? The one you get from the orgy room) shield, steel tech cat suit and hardlight bow+whatever evasive melee I had. Never really a fan of taking health damage, since you can't just replenish it on the spot.

smugglers get a perk so that blind always wears off after 1 round

It's the Mk. I, the Mk. II isn't obtainable in-game without cheating.

I'm a melee drone Techie, I have the Weavemail Dress, Reaper Shield, Mk.2 TamWolf, completely forgot what undergarments I'm using, and I have a thing for shock, so I have the Shock Bow and E. Vamp Blade, which aren't the most powerful but hey, style counts for something right?

Melee Merc! Void plates, Nova shield, thermal undies, salamander longcoat, hardlight bow (Is anyone working on a bow or hunter expansion?), and the monofilament saber

Tech. I use Khans' AC, Emmy's Lava Saber, Reaper shield generator, Grey Goo Armor and Explorers cloak. Airtight is too often underrated.

The new electric penalty that shields have forced me to stick with the lightning duster as accesory. For armor, I use the weavemail coat, since the BV armor must be ugly-looking.

As a ranged Mercenary, I'm torn between the Saurmorian Railgun and the Aegis Machinegun. I don't know if any of the new guns is better than those two (and also can't find the Kattom guy in Uveto anyways). My melee choice is the Plasma Hawk.

I'd like to know what are currently the best kinetic weapons, since the overhaul stuff and the new bunch of them changed a lot of things. In fact, I think that a thread with the current best weapons for each class should be pinned at the start.

The last time that I checked, the Saumorian Railgun was the best kinetic weapon, followed by the Aegis Machinegun. The Hardlight Bow was among those lines, maybe a bit lower. A negative thing about the first two is that they cannot crit, have an evasion penalty (who affects Smuggler players, mainly) and given their descriptions, are ugly and cumbersome.

A bit unrelated, is there any kinetic weapon with the "Energy Weapon" or "Laser" flag?

Myrellion Kattom sells a hardlight rifle that has 28 kinetic damage with energy weapon tag.

Like all of this sexy stuff...

Hmm... now I'm wondering how a melee build that favored evasion with the Warden Shield would play out...

My melee Merc uses the Warden Shield for the fortification and defense, I'm hoping for a big fucking sword soon to go with it, I think she's using the Monofilament Saber but it's not really her style. Her and my Smuggler are secondary characters for testing purposes and such, though, my Techie is my real Steele.

The best kinetic weapon from Uveto seems to be the Stormbull Shotgun. A bit below the Railgun, since:

Railgun: 42 Kinetic Attack, -3 Evasion +Accuracy. Bullet and Penetrating flags. Cannot crit flag (negative). Free.
Shotgun: 35 Kinetic Attack, -6 Evasion. Bullet flag. 40,000 C.

Machinegun: 29 Kinettic Attack, -2 Evasion +Accuracy, +15 Shields. Bullet flag. Cannot crit flag (negative). Free.

The machinegun should be less ugly, on top of having less evasion penalty and extra shields. All this talk about uneasthetical weapons makes me want to write some ultra-expensive weapons with gold, jewels, ivory and all that stuff.

I dont know much about the Warden shield, what stats does it have?

>All this talk about uneasthetical weapons

The primary way I pick my weapons consists of "would this look cool on this particular Steele?", with stats as a secondary concern (though still important)

So far, the Appollo Plasma Rifle seems both cool and a very strong weapon (possibly the strongest energy weapon) because it's described as a military weapon, and those tend to be very professional looking

I stick exclusively to shock weapons and bows, because I have a thing for them, so the Shock Bow and Emmy's Vamp Blade.

The Warden's Shield has like +4 evasion and +20 fortification, some accuracy, and 4 damage.

I try to keep a balance between stats and looks too, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who...

...wait, why does the Essyra Greatspear tower above my character?!

I've been putting together a equipment spreadsheet, ive found T's spear to be best evasion melee, followed by microfiliment saber. E's Lava Saber is best shield melee

I'm excited to see the spreadsheet, the wiki isn't updated with all the new stats yet so scouring for what to build can be a hassle.
You'll probably be waiting a while. There is a LOT of stuff to go through and vary limited time to do stuff with.
