The idea is that because he's done and hasn't finished everything he wanted to doesn't necessarily mean he chose to not submit it, just that it wasn't finished. I proposed that what he had finished was good enough as a standalone submission and could be submitted in his absence. Couch and Savin both gave their feedback on that proposition and I respect it.

You weren't guessing. Don't move the goalpost. I said both assumptions and matter-of-fact statements. I also didn't say I was displeased, that's more assumption on your end.

You literally assumed and the final line is a declarative statement despite having no authority on the subject. All I said was to not do that; because nobody likes being told what they can or cannot do by someone who doesn't have the right to do so.
I hope that explains it to you.
So you didn't manage to to figure out that my post was meant to be viewed as a whole and that it was all part of my assumption.

That's uhm, an assumption, paired with a matter-of-fact statement.

Well, I don't know. I think part of it might be that I'm not getting you is, that English is not my first language. You might even have a point. I just do not see it and it and in my eyes, it just make you look disingenuous with the "trying to police" speech part. shrug
