Just to add another two cents to the "What's the tainted rusher even supposed to be?"-discussion, I think they're not so much supposed to be a cautionary tale, and more intended to serve a voyeuristic transformation/corruption fetish. We get to watch them slowly transform and fall from planet to planet. With DadSteele, we only get the end result.

The problem is, if you're not into it, it's just another annoying encounter, and if you are into it - but, for some reason, aren't playing your Steele as that - it's such an underdeveloped character, who cares?

They're kind of like a background plot line, which I get the appeal of from a world building point of view, but they're both so bland and so hard to ignore that the main result is annoyance.

Also, that's what Steph Irson was for. Too bad that plot's not continuing.

Her story moreover ended like "Got caught too much, became puppy dog breeding slave.". Not really a lot about mods, taint, and the like.

Although her story ending on Phaedra would be absolutely perfect instead of Uveto. Cause there's plenty of taint sources there. Not that it'd matter too much considering by that point the player would either be tainted on purpose or just speedrunning the game.

Honestly, I don't know why this wasn't thought of sooner as a core race... this is actually something I'm a little surprised isn't made in opposition to the Kui-tan.

There is actually now a mostly-kitsune race, the sionach. They're kitsune in every way except they also have horns. Mitch is the only one. I assume it wouldn't be hard to add it as a starting option if chargen was updated again, but also Foxfire is available immediately after leaving the tutorial if you level up a bit, and the specific way it works means becoming a kitsune is the single easiest race swap in the entire game.

It's a bit of a stupid gripe and I apologize for thread necromancy.

But I am a bit miffed that we have practically only 3 parasites that we can interact with (not counting the Fungus, and I haven't reached Phaedra).

Eh, I'm pretty sure sticky threads are excluded from necromancy rules. They're sticky specifically so that people don't start new threads and add to existing ones instead.

Also, it's been barely over three weeks since the last post, for a thread that's been running since 2018.

I don't like or know how the Mimbrane Symbiosis perk works or how to get it. at first I just get all the Mimbrane's that I can. arms, legs, balls, cock and ass. and then the face. I then get the trust up to four but then. Nothing happens. I don't know if I did something wrong. or I don't have enough Mimbrane's to get the perk. I'm just bummed out from the said days in game trying to get one perk.

You need to reach a total trust of 24, AND a face mimbrane with 15 feeding level, if you don't have one in your face along with total trust of 24 then Mimbrane Symbosis won't happen.

Moving a bunch of what was once on the right side to the left side was an intentional design choice as that didn't lock the right side out (of other potential UI features) and it made it clear that all the player-related info was on the left side of the screen (such as stats, navigation, etc.). Also, from a design standpoint, and naturally reading left-to-right, anything on the right side would be "secondary" in terms of importance of information, so having as little clutter on that side as possible was ideal.
Yeah, that's fair.
But the thing is, having (less important) stuff on the right side, like in the old layout, helped organize the information on-screen. Which was a great help for my neurodivergent brain. Like, to me, things actually felt less cluttered with map/enemy information the left side of the screen, player stats and info on the right, main story/scene description in the middle, and interaction buttons on the bottom.
Can't speak for the mobile players, since I only play on PC.

Still, thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm looking forward to a legacy layout option, if/when it gets implemented.

Also put tooltips on stuff in shops again. The shopping process is so much worse for pc players because you can't just hover over something and see what it's like and how it compares.
Preach !
I'm not a coder myself, so I don't know how difficult it would be to implement different tooltip "styles" for mobile and PC, though.

Another minor complaints : The option to customize keybinds would be nice.

I don't think the option is feature locked, so for about a month now, there should be several options to change your UI layout. In the Options menu, under Controls, there is the "Legacy Sidebar Layout" toggle where you can also switch to the "Pre-Legacy Style", where it changes the layout to the two-sidebar layout. Alternatively, if you just want to change the position of the bust/minimap roll-out, under Display, there is a "Roll Out Location" option.

I'm not a coder myself, so I don't know how difficult it would be to implement different tooltip "styles" for mobile and PC, though.
Also under Display, there is an "Extra Item Stat Detail" toggle that can expand/replace the information displayed in the preview/tooltip area for items.

This is a planned feature for the future. It'll require some refinement and testing when it is implemented, but the system is set up to have changeable keybinds and control schemes at least. Efforts have been made to implement keybinds on most if not all the UI states, so the game should be playable with keyboard-only controls.

Thank you so much, I did this in the settings and this is so much better !!!

Shalin Shaman seems like a wasted opportunity:
One enemy with two statblocks and if you defeat one, you win. If you reduce the Upper Body's HP by half while she's Flying, she'll crash, doing 200 damage to the Lower Body. But it's much easier to just do 200 directly because the Lower Body has lower resistances to physical damage (sometimes much lower).
Is the Upper Body easier to Tease (that's where the sensory organs are)? Nope!

Liferoot and Radglow can force a Steele with high Libido to have sex with them, causing Taint and making it more likely to force sex next encounter.

Feel free to block out a suite of better stats for her. If you do I'll try and lobby a coder with them. I barely play the game anymore so the numbers I give hostile encounters are only suggestions - something I make clear to the coders - but they have as little time as I do, so they usually just shove them into the game as they are. Then I only hear back about them if they're too hard, because players almost never complain about an encounter being too easy. Such is the way of things in the content factory.

More than fair.
Upper Body
Physique: 55
Reflexes: 60
Aim: 55
Given that it has very high Damage resistance, I think a comparative Tease weakness is appropriate, especially since that's where the sensory organs are.
Is Physique used for any of the Upper Body's attacks? If not, giving it a comparative weakness to resist Physique-based Status attacks (ex: Headbutt) makes sense. If it is, base damage could be bumped a bit to compensate.
Leaving Aim as is, because the Ki-Bow is kind of ridiculous.

Lower Body
Physique: 65
Reflexes: 55
Aim: Irrelevant?
Tease/Pheromone Resistance: 50%?
Takes more damage, but harder to Stun or Tease. Still vulnerable to Drug. Should it be vulnerable to Psionic?
Is Aim used for any of the Lower Body's attacks? Aim is also unique in that it isn't used to resist anything, so far as I know.

If we really wanted to be realistic, the Upper Body should only be Tripped if the Lower Body is, and the Lower Body should only be Blind if the Upper Body is.
Would be a PITA to code, I'm sure.

General Notes
The PCs natural stat cap at Level 12 is 60. Cybernectics can increase that by +10, but there are a number of other Combat implants players might want instead. They also changed X Chance weapon flags so it's a vs Stat check instead of a flat chance.

Then I only hear back about them if they're too hard, because players almost never complain about an encounter being too easy. Such is the way of things in the content factory.
1. The player can forfeit an easy fight if they want loss scenes.
2. A lot of players don't take advantage of all the systems (i.e Stat Training).
3. A lot of players make poor choices with stats, perks and gear.
At least she's got good loot.

Upper Body...

These stats are less important than HP and resistances, and can be more or less taken as written.

The shaman has three stat blocks, not two: Upper Body, Lower Body and Wings.

Wings

HP: 170

90% Poison Resist
75% Kinetic Resist
60% Corrosive Resist
60% Burning Resist
40% Electric Resist

Lower Body

HP: 575

30% Kinetic Resist
30% Poison Resist
25% Electric Resist
50% Corrosive Resist
50% Burning Resist

Upper Body

HP: 200

-10% Kinetic Resist
+10% Electric Resist

Lust

Max lust: 250
Starting lust: 10

20% Tease Resist (w/out resist potion)
25% Drug Resist (w/out resist potion)

As long as Wings are above 0HP, the PC cannot hit Upper Body and all attacks aimed there are reflected to Wings with a -50% malus. The shaman can only fly if Wings are above 0HP, and if they are reduced to 0 while she's flying Lower Body takes 200 damage. PC wins the fight if they reduce either UB or LB to 0HP. This is precisely what I handed in to Donkey to code. I don't have a character levelled up far enough to reach Phaedra so I didn't test her in-game myself.

I would not give each body part a different Lust resistance: it's too complicated and doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Given the way Status Attacks* work, base stats are important. Also, it seems the Shaman is Level 13 (not 12, like I thought), so 65 in a stat is fine.
*Flash Grenade, Headbutt, Paralyzing Shock, etc.

The shaman has three stat blocks, not two: Upper Body, Lower Body and Wings.
You may have written it that way, but it's not how it looks to me in-game (and looking at the code). Close, but not quite. Both Upper and Lower Body have 510 HP. Upper Body has the resistances you assigned to Wings until it's HP is reduced by half, then resistances are reduced. I didn't know about the resistance change, so thanks. Makes her more interesting, but I still don't know if it's worth dealing with the increased resistances.

Given that the Wing stat block isn't visible (if it even exists), maybe she needs some text about using her wings to block incoming attacks and she's more vulnerable at 1/2 HP. It doesn't seem to be telegraphed at all.

I would not give each body part a different Lust resistance: it's too complicated and doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
And yet, each part has an individual Lust value and is Teased independently.

I don't have a character levelled up far enough to reach Phaedra so I didn't test her in-game myself.
The Cheat Menu should make it easier, if you do feel like doing in-game testing. You can give yourself Max XP to level, whatever items you want and teleport to Phaedra (or anywhere else).

We should probably move this somewhere else, so as not to clutter up the thread. Should I DM you or post in your thread?

The shaman doesn't have a shield, right?

If I remember correctly, there are enemies whose shields bar gets replaced by an armor one. Maybe it's possible to rename the shaman upper body's shields bar to "wings" and give it the increased resistances.

Personal peeve, not as present in CoC1 but certain plot heavy/story characters and other not as executive NPCs have a habit of appearing once and then never mentioned/brought up/seen again.
