I am curious, especially with new powers. I usually play dark mage/white mage champions, but I feel like mixing it up, lol. Also because Crossbows are op in Underrail and I want to play as butch legolas.

iirc it's pretty rough after they've nerfed crit unless they've buffed it a bit since. You can go for a magic archer build with Meteor Bow or Gimble Gyre. Or an attack build with cleave maybe but Im not sure if this build has the damage without support companions.

I don't have a full idea on what a good archer build is since most what can be done by an archer is generally done better by a melee build but I do have some snippets that might point you in the right direction.

First of is the Meteor Bow from the Arena. This bow naturally leans towards a crit type build with its stats, but its special effect is interesting. The special effect is basically an Aoe that rolls additional fire damage on each action you take. Basically, you take any action during a turn even a non damaging power it will roll for the aoe. Interestingly, the Aoe effect is classified as a spell power so it's effected by spellpower, guldring, and Righteous fury but not charge weapon. It's not a huge amount of damage, its fire damage, and if you really focus it the most, you'll get from it is 50 to each enemy per turn (but more likely in the ballpark of 25-30).

Most archer powers are generally equivalents to melee powers but there are a few that stand out. Aim Weapon which is a better version of its melee counterpart granting 3 turn disarm. Crackle powder which gives stun and storm vunerability. Eagle Eye which decreases recharge time of powers by 1 if you down your enemy.

There might be a half of an idea to make a build out of meteor bow, thief, eye for weakness, eagle eye, and grease. Other than that, I don't really have any more ideas.
