What am I doing wrong with this combat build?

Your primary damage stat should be maxed out (Aim)
What's the damage on that bow? I never built a ranged smuggler that uses a bow. you might want to investigate a replacement weapon
Don't waste your first round triggering Shoot First, instead hit the guy with a flash grenade to take advantage of aimed shot

Physical 6, Kinetic 1, Corrosive 5

That bow and melee weapon are both complete dogshit. Why are you still using them?

I'm pretty sure I sought out the wrench because I was looking for something that would crack Sydian Female armour without killing them for that one scene.
The bow, I have no idea why I'm using it, it might be the strongest ranged weapon I have, it might not...

Like has been said, you should max out at least your damage stat, probably also Reflexes, and the other ones if you want to. I'd go with Stealth Field Generator and Grenade over Disarming Shot and Gas Grenade, and Alpha Strike and Mag Binders at level 9 and 10. As was said, your weapons suck, if you need a Bow I'd use the Hardlight Bow and have the Hardlight Dagger as a stat stick. If you wanna get your Evasion up use the Jetpack, but I wouldn't use the Cargobot at all. Armor is negotiable, but the Goo Armor is really good since you've got it.

That bow shouldn't be your best weapon. There are plenty of better weapons, be they quest items or bought from merchants on Uveto.

Did some looking in my storage. I also have a Nova rifle, Nova pistol, Secure MP, and one of Emmy's reward weapons.
I replaced the wrench with my Vamp Blade.

The secure mp is the best of that lot iirc, however they're all still still pretty shit.

You're gonna want something off the traveling merchant on either myrellion or uveto. Or a weapon from the merchant on the outskirts of uveto's main hub.
