Unable to Access Corrupted Garden?

I must be missing something somewhere. I've tried on multiple devices with different games but I have not been able to access the Corrupted Garden to continue the In Her Footsteps quest. The Enter button is grayed out each time. I've watched multiple walkthroughs, tried to Google search it, but nothing has come up.
I've tried playing on Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
Any ideas?

If you picked up the game again recently and are playing on a save where you haven't done certain things, you probably missed the announcement that Dog Days is now a mandatory quest instead of an optional one, because of how many things ended up gated behind it. As a result, you can't encounter the Alraune until you've finished Dog Days and gotten the path to the Wayfort cleared.
