Well I did, it's a metaphor, at different degrees. One of which being that a corrupted version of "Make the devil powerless this time" has to be "take his power and give it to something meaner". 


As you can see it is not a paradox because a good corruption of a wish is not "fine, let's do the opposite". It is "I'm glad you asked 3"
