The Syren Conspiracy (For Floozer)

[Floozer]

"Don't climb on anything though, the ship tends to rattle about while in hyper space." She says on her way to the cock pit to get this thing moving again.

 

[Archangel99]

"Yes mommy!" They chorus as they run around the ship.

 

[Floozer]

She laughs happily and sits down, starting up the engine and soon flying the ship out of the base "Hold on to your butts everyone... here we go!" She says while heading out to orbit.

 

[Archangel99]

The ship shudders as it moves out of orbit, and the kids laugh and squeal as they watch the space flying by outside their windows.

 

[Floozer]

Once she is far enough out she hits the hyper drive and the ship jumps, set on a course to their destination which lets her get up and head back with the others "First time on the ship, how is it kids?"

 

[Archangel99]

"Awesome!" They yell, rushing to her for hugs and kisses again.

[i don't suppose you were keeping a list of their names?]

 

[Floozer]

[Oh sod... I knew I forgot to save that damn thing.] [Vivian, Blaze, Cinder are all I can remember.]

 

[Archangel99]

[Bollocks.]

"So mommy, how long is it gonna take?" Kree's kid, Max, asks.

 

[Floozer]

She kneels down to pat his head "It will take around a day to get there, we will spend a day having fun, then fly back while you are all asleep ok? We should all have a grand time!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Yaaaay!" The cheer.
"Is there an amusement park there?" One of Rasha's kids asks.

 

[Floozer]

"I... don't actually know the answer to that one dear, I'm sorry."

 

[Archangel99]

"I'm sure they do. It's a planet, right? Planets always have fun places!" Vivian says, nodding her head.
"Hope so. Rides would be fun..." Max mumbles.

 

[Floozer]

"We can make it fun, don't worry about that Max."

 

[Archangel99]

"If you say so, mommy." He says, smiling a little and kissing her cheek.
"Sooo... What else is there to do in here?" Cinder asks, looking around.

 

[Floozer]

"Umm... well, this isn't my ship but there might be some fun stuff to do around here" She gets up and starts looking around for a way to preoccupy a bunch of kids.

 

[Archangel99]

Unfortunately for her, she can't seem to find anything to occupy the kids, since whoever was outfitting the ship clearly wasn't expecting kids.
However, if she wanted to put them to sleep quickly, someone had left an engineering book on the kitchen table.

 

[Floozer]

"Oh dear... Um, Alex, could you lend me a hand in here?" She calls out from the kitchen

 

[Archangel99]

He walks in about a minute later. "Yeah? Wassup?" He asks, leaning against the door.

 

[Floozer]

"We don't have anything for the kids to do!" She says in a whisper "What now?!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Uh... Tell them a story?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

 

[Floozer]

"I don't know any stories... that are ok for children..."

 

[Archangel99]

"Then make one up! Can't be that hard. I'll help if I can." Alex says, patting her shoulder.

 

[Floozer]

"ugh, fine!" She walks out to the kids and smiles "Ok... who wants to hear a story?!"

 

[Archangel99]

They all look at her, then immediately run over and take a seat in a circle around her, grinning up at her with expectant faces.

 

[Floozer]

She smiles in return and sits down "Alright, how about the tail of Wumpus, space explore extraordinaire?"

 

[Archangel99]

[Wumpus...?]

"Sounds cool! Let's hear it!" Blaze says, grinning.

 

[Floozer]

[Long story short, it's a name I made up a while ago, it stuck with me]

"Alright! Well, once upon a time, there was a an explore named Wumpus! He was brave, skillful, smart and always ate his veggies" She says, a not so sublte hint for Max the picky eater "He would travel far and wide, looking to explore the furthest reaches of space!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Bleeh. Veggies are gross..." Max mutters, before quickly being shushed by the others.

 

[Floozer]

"Well... one day Wumpus came upon a new planet, never before named and not on any star chart he owned. Sensing adventure he sent his ship down, unaware of the perils that would await him!"

 

[Archangel99]

The kids lean forwards, already hooked in the story, their eyes wide as they listen.
