The book mostly details the case, and how it progressed. The author, it seemed, was rather smart, and had carefully insinuated his own opinion on the proceedings in different places. What she basically got from the book was that the trial was staged. There was too much evidence all pointing at him, he didn't have a solid alibi, and the case seemed to be moving too quickly for a normal one.

Stripping someone's wings basically meant exiling them, and making them the figure of public revulsion whenever they were seen, and would give them basically no chance to rise through the ranks again.

He raises an eyebrow, then grins, before looking down over the railing. "Now how do we get that book out... Without worrying him...?" He murmurs, frowning slightly.
"Wait. What if this library has magical barriers?" He asks, his eyes widening. "I mean, I read that in a fantasy book somewhere, but... It's possible!"
