They walk all the way to the portal, where Jackal stops and bows to the Gatewatcher. "Greetings, young ones. Brave of you to head into these lands. I hope you have prepared yourselves well?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
"We are both well aware of the dangers in this land honored watcher. We are as prepared as I think we can get given the threats ahead. your concern is greatly appreciated."
The dangerous part starts the moment they step out of the portal, onto a ledge so narrow that she would have walked right off the edge had Jackal not stopped her!
"The kind that is intentionally placed to kill stupid demons. Look down there." Jackal says, pointing down to the bottom of the cliff, where she can see skeletons of previous demons, many decaying bodies, and some of them still fresh, maybe a day or two old.
As they make out his hands roam down Lorina's small frame until they reach her plush ass, and he starts to grope her. He breaks the kiss and with a grin. "Very good Lorian. You know how to please me." He says.
"That's very true I suppose." He says with a chuckle before standing and pulling Lorina off his cocks, before stretching. "Allright I'm going to bed, care to join." He says as he looks down at her.
"Probably picked dry. Come on. There's nothing for us here..." He mutters, starting off down an extremely narrow path, hugging the rock wall so he doesn't fall off.
"Of course I'm coming." She says with a giggle as she follows him into the bedroom.
She shuffles along behind him, trying not to fall off the edge as she minds her footing "Yeesh... this place is worse than hell... and that is really saying something ya know?"
"Indeed. This place has life, yes... But the kind that wants to eat you. Everything in here wants to kill you and feed on you, and that includes the residents." He grumbles as he keeps making his way down the path, which ends at a sheer rock face that they have to descend from to reach the ground below.
"Okay!" They call out, but nobody else comes to join him, as they all seem to be rather deep in conversation.
"Oi. Can it. I don't have wings. Do you see me whining about it!?" He grumbles, reaching the rock wall, and grabbing a few handholds to start climbing down.
"Oh, some new Star Warriors movie that came out." Irina says, waving her hand.
"I have no fucking clue what movies are. I'm just here for the info." Ragnar says with a shrug.
"Right... Anyway, focus. And try not to fall." He says as he moves carefully down the cliff face, his hands and feet searching for holds as he descends.
"Oh then your in for a treat. Everyone into the living room! As master of this household I say it's move night!" He says as he walks back into the living room and over to one of the selves and pulls out all of the star warrior movies he own. Which is all of them excluding the newest one. He places them down on his end table and puts the first DVD into the TV and flops onto the couch.
It takes them about two hours of hard, dangerous climbing, and by the time they reach the bottom, both of them have had their limbs turned to jelly, and Jackal immediately flops to the floor, panting hard.
"Oh cool! You didn't tell me you had them!" Irina says, bouncing up and down excitedly in her seat as the opening scene comes on.
"Soooo... What's this thing about, again?" Ragnar asks, his eyes fixed on the screen.
"Don't get used to it. We still have the damn forest!" He groans, eyeing the dark, looming woods up ahead. The trees themselves seem to be predatory, with curling, gnarled limbs that seem to be reaching out to snag them away from each other.
"Somebody did that. The forest grew back in a year. And Karline told me they managed to get a hold of them the next time, and gave them a long, slow, very painful death." He says with a dry chuckle before sitting up. "We should rest for a while more. We'll need all our energy if we're to get through that mess." He growls, moving back into the cover of the cliffs.
