"Well, that's one way to do it. Now let's just climb! Cut the chatter!" He says gruffly, and she sees that he's already starting to shiver, the temperature dropping lower the higher they go.

After nearly an hour, they manage to reach the top, and Jackal collapses into the snow, shivering and shaking. "F-f-f-fuuuck! S-s-s-so f-f-fucking cooold!" He groans, his teeth chattering loudly as he rubs his furry arms to try and get some warmth into his body.
She smiles at Jackal and makes him stand up while holding him in a hug. with a snap of her fingers her clothes grow several sizes bigger and basically devour him, pulling him inside so his body is pressed against hers inside the warm puffy mountain gear "Stop your whining, I got you!"
"T-t-thanks!" He chatters, his arms wrapping around her for warmth.
After around ten minutes of staying that way, he slips out of the clothes. "Alright. Body temperature regulated. Let's hope I don't freeze to death now..." He says, taking a look around.
On the peak of this particular mountain, the top is shaped like a bowl, with large caves set into the walls. Sexual moans are already coming from one of them! Or... It could just be the icy, biting wind playing tricks with their ears. There are approximately eight such caves, each at random heights around the mountain basin.

"Right..." He mutters before moving as fast as the thick snow will let him towards the cave before quickly scrambling up the walls and popping inside before popping his upper body back out and sticking his hand out for her.

"Yeah... And it's warm in here too..." He murmurs, looking into the cave. "Fire, maybe? I can see flickering on the walls..." He whispers before slowly walking deeper into the cave.
"Eh... Don't be so sure..." He murmurs before sticking to the wall as he inches forward, closer to the light.
He turns invisible as well, continuing to move slowly.
As they get closer, the heat increases, as does the light, followed by the sound of voices. Finally, they come into what appears to be a large cave. There are four white feathered harpies sitting around a small bonfire in the center, chatting away happily.
"Hmm... Seem friendly to me." Jackal whispers in her ear.

She nods her head "I have an idea... maybe if we play up the victim thing, they will be more open to talk. Follow my lead." She turns visible and shifts her clothes back to their big form. Then she grabs Jackal like she was helping him walk and staggers into the room "See! Look! I told you I saw flickering light!" She casts a desperate look at the harpies. "Hey... can we please sit at your fire? My friend here is an idiot and didn't bring proper clothes!"

After a long, dangerous fight, Ragnar and Gaknar manage to take down Colahr, leaving Karl outside the village, and Colahr's body for the wild animals.

There's a long, awkward moment of silence as both parties just stare at each other.
Finally, one of the harpies breaks the ice. "Uhh.... What the heck are you?"

"Yes it would seem that time. Do you have anyone at your village you would like to say goodbye to my friend" Gaknar says putting a hand on his shoulder as they walk.
She groans in frustration "Hi, my name is Phorcide and this here is Jackal. We are both demons who jumped in to this portal to see what it was like. We saw this mountain and wanted to see the top... but as you can see... someone thought his fur was thicker than it is!"
"Nah. Let's just get home. I'm tired..." He murmurs, rubbing his neck and picking up some sort of leaves, which he crushes and slowly starts rubbing across the wound on his chest, hissing slightly with pain as he does so.
"In my defense... I didn't even know there were gonna be mountains, forget about the cold!" He says, inching desperately closer to the fire. He was putting on a pretty good act, really. He had been perfectly fine before she dragged him in.
"Oh... Well... I suppose you could sit here... One of the the harpies murmurs before shifting closer to her sisters, all of them huddling on one side of the fire as they wait for the demons to take a seat. Jackal immediately hops in front of the fire with a satisfied sigh, warming his hands.

"What's that your useing on the wound?" Gaknar says watching Ragnar as they start walking toward the portal. "You do now we can just go to a clinic once we get back." He says as he puts a hand on one of his larger wounds.
She sighs and gives them a soft smile "Thank you... really we were in a tight spot. Hell... is not cold what so ever. So this is a huge turn of events." She says with a chuckle. "Like I said, this is Jackal and I am Phorcide, a pleasure to meet you!"
"Disinfectant. Stings, but safer. Won't swell up and shit by the time we get back. Want some?" He asks, rubbing more into his smaller wounds, a peculiar sour smell emanating from the plants as they're crushed.
"I'm Mary. This is Sophie, Jansie, and Moira." One of the harpies, bigger than the others, says.

"No..." They murmur, shaking their heads. "So... This place you come from... What is it called?" Sophie, the one on the far right, asks.
"I see... How big is it?" Mary asks, the one sitting in the center, asks.
"About the size of this entire mountain range, plus three or four." Jackal says, scrunching his face up a bit.
