Led by a man named Lord Jeremel Waldon Besker the Third, an expedition has been made into the distant frontiers of the mysterious continent. Setting of from the ports of the Britannia Empire with what supplies and tools they could grab with them, the colonists head on for a new life.

You are part of a group of mercenaries known as the Grey Roses hired to help protect the colonists. Apparently, Lord Jeremel Walden Besker the Third was rather cheap with that, since besides the mercenary captain, there are really only four of you worth it-the rest are pretty standard merchant guards one can find anywhere. Still, a jobs a job, and besides, who knows-maybe this trip is just what you needed...
—————————————————-
Basically, this is a sort of “Age of Sail” setting, and your character is part of a mercenary group hired on the protect a group of colonists.

Some basics:
-1. Characters will start out at level 3.
-2. You may play as any race, although the races common to Britannia are Humans, Hill Dwarfs, Wood Elves, Half Elves, and Halflings of both types.
-3. I will act on an honor system-while I won’t be monitoring rolls, I will hope you stay truthful about it.
-4. Try to stay in character.

A few questions: Are you planning to run this on the forums here? Any class restrictions? How high level do you think this game will go, if it plays out? Given that we're on this site, I'm assuming that there will be erotic RP at some point; if so, how frequent do you plan for it to come up? Your setting sounds cool, by the way.

1. Yes
2. No, I’m fine with people playing what they want to play as
3. I was thinking maybe level 10-it’s not as high powered as most campaigns.
4. Generally either when the players initiate it themselves or, in some cases, upon the party’s defeat.

Well, here's one character at least.

Name: Victoria 'Vicci' Dragmar
Race: Human
Background: Noble
Class: Warlock; Hexblade
Level: 3
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Str: 12 Dex: 12 Con: 16 Int:12 Wis: 9 Cha: 16
HP: 27
AC: 17
Skills: Arcana+3, Deception+5, History+3, Persuasion+5
Personality traits: I value my freedom over all else.
Ideals: Personal power is of the utmost importance.
Bonds: none yet.
Flaws: Easily tempted
Features: Position of privilege, Pact of the blade, Hexblade's curse, Hex warrior
Invocations: Agonizing blast, Improved pact weapon
Equipment: Breastplate, shield, dagger
Spells: Eldritch blast, mage hand, shield, cloud of daggers, mirror image. Save DC: 13

Bio: Born to a noble family, Victoria was groomed from birth to be a proper lady, and was trained in all aspects of courtly etiquette while living in the lap of luxury. Unfortunately, she was also the last in line for any kind of inheritance, and so was of little use to her family as anything other than marriage material; a fact that she was made aware of on her seventeenth birthday. All at once her world and dreams were shattered. All of her training, all of her studying, all the friends and contacts that she had already made were going to be for nothing after she was forced into the role of doting wife to a fat, old, nearly nameless, slob of a noble. Desperate for a way out, she turned her studies to the arcane, hoping to pursue a vocation that would allow her to distance herself from her family and keep them out of her business. Sadly, she found that she lacked either the raw calculating abilities that were required of wizards, nor the natural spark of magic that sorcerers possessed... Still, there was one possible option.
Stealing a few magical trinkets from her fathers study, she made her way into the deep woods near her family's land, and to the old ruins that her parents had warned her never to approach. There she set up a small offering, and beseeched any spirits that would listen for aid in her time of desperation... One answered. The being claimed to be a prince of the fey folk, and was looking for vassals to do his bidding in the world of man. He offered to grant Victoria skill with both blade and spell, in return for doing his bidding from time to time. Elated that her plan had worked, Victoria accepted the deal. Only then did the spirit reveal himself. True enough, he was a fey prince. A satyr prince of lust and passion, who's first order was that Victoriaa immediately consummate their relationship.
After a long night of passionate lovemaking, Victoria awoke to find herself blessed with powers she had only ever read about in stories. She decided to cut ties with her family and set out into the world to test herself as an adventurer, and to serve her new lord. With powers like the ones she had, who knew what she could accomplish?

Description: Victoria stands five foot nine inches tall, with a curvaceous figure. Her deep raven hair tumbles down her back in thick locks to just above her ass. While not as soft as she used to be, her muscles are not very pronounced and are mostly hidden under smooth fair skin. A pair of piercing blue eyes stare out from a well sculpted face set with features that are sharp without being hawkish. Her feminine assets are no less striking; large, firm breasts provide ample cleavage when she dresses up, and prominent hips and ass sway to and fro when she walks.

Well, hopefully this takes off, the setting sounds pretty fun.

I might be interested. I generally enjoy playing more sociable characters. Would a Bard or a Rogue be something acceptable?

I'd probably play a female Wood Elf given the common races for the setting. Would be happy to talk more details later on but I would like to express my interest here first.

Yes, such a character would be acceptable!

Awesome. Would anyone be willing to help me with character creation? I'm not much used to 5e but I love designing new characters.

If not I can hit the wiki and get something written up in a day or so.

I’d advise selecting your background, class, race, and alignment first before anything else, so you have a concept of what your character is going to be like.

Working on that now.

So far I have Class, Race, and Alignment settled.

Rogue, Neutral Good, and Wood Elf respectively.

From there I need to select a background and I suppose work on the proper character build.

Name: Alina Silvertree
Race: Wood Elf
Background: Initiate
Class: Rogue
Level: 3
Alignment: Neutral Good
STR: 12 DEX: 18 CON: 12 Int: 9 WIS: 10 CHA: 16
HP: 25
AC: 16
Skills: Insight +2, Investigation +1, Perception +2, Persuasion +7, Religion +1, Stealth +8
Personality Traits: I see omens in everyday events. The goddess is trying to speak to us we just need to listen.
Ideals: I seek to prove myself worthy in my Goddess' eyes
Bonds: None Yet
Flaws: Easily Tempted
Features: Thieve's Cant, Sneak Attack, Fey Ancestry, Trance, Darkvision, Shelter of the Faithful
Edquipment: Leather Armor, Shortsword, Shortbow, 20 arrows, Dagger, Thieves tools, backpack, bedroll, common clothes, quiver

Bio: Alina was orphaned at a young age. Taken in by a temple dedicated to a fairly minor goddess of love and mercy she learned much of their ways before leaving any kind of vocational training behind her. While her faith is genuine and solid she would never really do well as a more formal priestess. Her skills lay in other directions. She left the temple shortly after her hundredth birthday and has been traveling ever since. She still knows some of the ceremonies and rituals by heart but she seeks opportunity on her own and seeks to find her own version of what her goddess wants for all...

Description: Alina stands at five feet eight inches tall, she is blessed with a fairly classically womanly figure, wide hips, a tight waist, a fantastic ass, she remains self conscious about her breasts however which are a bit smaller than average. She has auburn hair that falls to just past her shoulders, her face is well formed and frames her grey eyes nicely. She naturally trended towards being somewhat plump so her more intense exercises since leaving the temple have helped to balance her out though she has not built much in the way of muscle mass.

Hello! It's been quite a while since I've poked my nose around these parts and I'm I did. I've been wanting to get back into the swing of things RP wise and this seems to be a perfect opportunity, so if you'll have me I'd also like to express my interest and excitement in playing!

During his teen years, chafing under his father's lectures and disdain he could often be found brawling in alleyways or taverns. After finding himself in a fight with a noble's son, Trent found himself facing the choice of rotting in a cell or joining the military and he quickly seized upon the opportunity to distance himself from his father. He served his time among the rank and file and afterwards would spend his time as part of multiple mercenary groups.

(This should have been posted sooner but better late than never I suppose)

Name: Professor Dilvas Von Odd
Race: Tiefling
Background: Sage
Class: Artificer; Alchemist
Level: 3
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Str: 8 Dex: 16 Con: 14 Int:18 Wis: 12 Cha: 8
HP: 28
AC: 16
Skills: Arcana+6, History+6, Investigation+6, Perception+3
Personality traits: There’s nothing I like more than a good mystery.
Ideals: Nothing should fetter the infinite possibility inherent in all existence.
Bonds: N/A
Flaws: I speak without really thinking through my words, invariably insulting others.
Features: Darkvision, Hellish Resistance, Infernal Legacy (Winged), Researcher, Magical Tinkering, Infuse Item, The Right Tool For The Job, Experimental Elixir.
Equipment: Pistol (If the proficiency for firearms is allowed for Artificers), Bottle of black ink, Quill, Small knife, A set of common clothes, Cloak, Scale Mail, Thieves Tools, Dungeoneer's Pack, Tinker's Tools, Alchemist's Supplies, Bullets (40), Powderhorn.
Spells: Guidance, Mending, Cure Wounds, Healing Word, Feather Fall, Absorb Elements

Bio: Odd had a peculiar past of sorts always finding himself amongst many circles of people whether it was Dwarves, Elves, or any other groups of people with various professions or titles Odd was there simply to expand on his already diverse repertoire of knowledge. From odd jobs to escorts to even test subject Odd was no stranger to tossing caution to the wind in the delve for knowledge and self-betterment. Over the years Prof. Odd's sporadic means of betterment landed him in a sudden life of adventuring of sorts but others may have called it Merc work. Whichever way you sided Odd pursued this career out of sheer curiosity and wander having learned that a well-traveled scholar could open a whole new wellspring of knowledge and other hidden wonders. With the new profession idly keeping the Professor’s attention, one may wonder if there really are no bounds that this tiefling may go to fulfill his curiosities.

Description: Odd stands at an impressive six-foot ten inches in height, his face generally looks human despite his obvious infernal looks. His eyes are bright orange all the way through resembling flickers of a flame while his smooth skin is a pale red color bridging closely towards pink. Much like many other tieflings, the small hint of brimstone emanates from him. Despite his imposing size, Odd isn't necessarily bulkily built he has a more graceful frame having an almost skinny yet athletic frame. Instead of human legs, Odd surprisingly has furred cloven feet which is quite the rare sight even for a tiefling. The most notable thing about Odd, however, is most likely his bat-like wings that sprout from his shoulder blades. Odd's horns curl outward almost like a ram however they come out to a point nearly matching his skin if not only a shade darker.

OOF same.

Got a 10 Which is disappointing given my character's background but the dice gods do as they will.
I should note that we way your character looks at this would probably be the same amount but be different in interpretation, due to their position in life-I wrote that for @Ecnalab because his character is a noble.

That's fair. Just figured I'd also roll to see if it was something more or less. As is I don't really have much reason to comment IC but am ready to respond as things go.
