This place seemed to be kinda the right place to ask?
Ok, so there are a couple of prominent stat based simulation games out there (hhs, slavemaker, etc.). They are quite enjoyable, though there is one thing i'm missing with those games, that being content. Now lets suppose at some point in the future i would release an engine capable of: running any kind of stat sim game, making it relatively easy for anyone to add to a game made in this engine, and making it reasonably easy to make one from scratch. Would you use it to make your own or add content to an existing one? Do you expect competent games of this genre to pop up using this engine?
The assumption i'm making is that if i where to somehow lower the tech cost (learning how to code, making the thing from scratch etc.) we would see more good ones popping up? but that only holds if there are enough people interested in this
