He shrugs and decides to just go looking for Chasey. He could think about the settlement when he got around to building it.
He whistles to her, before grinning. "Yo! Picking fruit again? What is it this time? Not poisonous, I hope." He says with a little chuckle.
He frowns at it, before trying to peel the skin off and see if there's any fleshy part underneath.
"Bleh!" He spits out some of the stuff before taking a bite out of it. "Ehh... It's not that bad." He says with a shrug.
"Good! Get as many as you can. I'll help you!" He says, easily climbing into another tree to pick some more of the fruit.
He grins and starts plucking as many as he can fit into his bag, before climbing down the tree and heading back to camp.
"What the-?" He drops the fruits and runs to the mutant, dropping to his knees next to him. "What happened!?"
"I don't know! He just staggered up to the camp and collapsed! He is obviously been stabbed or something but I can't staunch the bleeding! This is beyond normal! Something is thinning his blood... he is likely anemic!"
The mutant looks mostly human save for his skin which is a light green color and what looks to be bark growing over his left arm. his eyes flick open and lock onto Kai "Please..... you must.... help...."

"I don't know! I need more gauze! His blood is way too thin, it isn't even trying to clot!"
With surprising strength given his state, the man grabs Kai's arm "You must... stop them.... west.... north west.... please...." He lets out a ragged cough. "Now please... kill me... I don't want... to be like them."

"W-what? North West? What's coming from Northwest? Tell me!" He says, squeezing the thing's arm.
"What...? The fuck...?" He mutters, before glancing at Hina. "Shit. Okay. We have to get Chasey, and then get as far away from here as we can." He says, before looking down at the body. "And... Cut his head off with something. Just in case." He murmurs, before getting up and running out to look for Chasey.
"Drop it! We gotta leave!" He says, stuffing a few of them into to his bag, before looking around. "Which direction is Northwest?" He asks, frowning a little.
"I don't know, but something bad is coming this way. And fast. We'd better leave." He says, giving one last look to the body, before hurrying off Northeast.
"Okay... Hina, Rex, take care of Chasey and the fruit. I'll scout ahead, see exactly what we're dealing with." He says, before taking to the air and flying north, wanting just a glance of whatever this was.
[I said north because I didn't wanna get too close in case it was some sort of army. Getting spotted would not be a good thing.

As he glides closer to the movement he notices that it seems to be bandits or raiders dragging people off into the forest... likely toward their base. Such observations are cut short though as it is next to impossible to fly without being seen in broad daylight as there is nothing to hide behind when you are literally above all of your cover and Kai is quickly seen followed shortly by a few arrows whizzing past him.
