Starting Over [Archangel] [Discontinued]

[Floozer]

It takes a while cause most of the windows are stuck shut form age or full of sharp broken glass, but he eventually finds a window that is empty and safe to climb through. Inside is what looks like an old office with a single desk, another one of those old world machines on top of it and some random cabinets scattered about.

 

[Archangel99]

This time, he spends a few minutes looking through the office for a map before he moves on to the rest of the complex.

[Brb. Dinner.]

 

[Floozer]

All he finds are illegibal papers, random office supplies... and a bag! There is an old shoulder bag under the desk, it's twice as big as his current leaf bag and time seems to have been kind to it!

 

[Archangel99]

He grins and switches his leaf pouch out for the bag. "Hmm. Not bad. It'll certainly make stuff easier to carry around..." He murmurs to himself as he puts the boxes and the gun in it, then walking outside the office to see the state of the building.

 

[Floozer]

It's pretty knackered as with everything else. The floor is dirty and rotting, the walls are crumbling and big holes have fallen out by this time. Doors line the hall ways leading into individual offices while open cubical spaces are off to the sides.

 

[Archangel99]

He starts walking around aimlessly, looking for random objects that could help him. The top of his priority list is a map of the facility, which would make it easier to find his way around.

Wow... This place is huge... I wonder... I wonder where it all started... Here? No... The droid wouldn't have been made here if they had been overrun... Maybe... A last stand sort of thing. And then they fell...

 

[Floozer]

Sadly all the offices are mostly the same with only random office supplies sitting around. Hmm, maybe mamma could use some of this junk? She sure did have a lot of random crap around her room... maybe this clicky things would help? (Staplers to clarify for player knowledge only.)

Regardless, he isn't making much progress on this floor, maybe higher up would be good? Then again, Mamma said underground labs, so maybe he could just head straight down?

 

[Archangel99]

[What else would would be clicky? XD]

He sighs and picks up one or two of the clicky things, putting them in the bag, before looking for a way to head down deeper into the building.

 

[Floozer]

He finds stairs that lead up close to the front of the building and stairs that go down around the back.

 

[Archangel99]

He decides to go the obvious route, taking the stairs down. He would have more time to explore after he had gotten what he needed, obviously.

 

[Floozer]

Down the stairs leads him further and further down before coming out to an old basement that was obviously used for storage. Sadly, he sees no obvious way to go anywhere else from here and mamma did say the extra floors technically don't exist.

Doing what he does best, he starts exploring the place, looking for things to scavenge, as well as some sort of secret way to go down.

 

[Floozer]

He finds a bunch more random scrap just laying around the room that may or may not make mamma happy. When he opens and old rusty tool box, he finds it is actually fixed in place and the bottom of the tool box can actually be removed! A tiny button sits under the false bottom.

 

[Archangel99]

He does pick up the random scrap he can find as he looks, and when he discovers the toolbox button, he grins and immediately presses it down.

 

[Floozer]

It clicks and there is a sudden bang as the circut box suddenly flings open! There are six switches insides and each one has a number written on it. Kai can barely read them thanks to a lack of learning but he can make out 5, 10, 15, 30, 40, and another 15.

 

[Archangel99]

He blinks in confusion. What the heck was he supposed to do...? He decides to flip the switch labeled 15 and see what happens.

 

[Floozer]

The switch clicks and a light turns on above the fuse box. There are only 4 lights so it seems he only gets 4 of the 6 switches.

 

[Archangel99]

Okay... This is rather odd... What do I do...? This is pretty much random switch flipping... Oh well.

This time, he flips the other 15.

 

[Floozer]

The second light clicks on, two more to go.

 

[Archangel99]

This time, he flips the 30 and 40 switches.

 

[Floozer]

The last two lights flick on and a light DING can be heard right before the back wall starts to pull away to the left revealing some hidden stairs taht go further down!

 

[Archangel99]

He jumps away from the wall reflexively, then calms down once he realises there's nothing there. Then, he grins when he sees the passage.

Alright! Luck is on my side! Time to go down there and find that robot thingy...

With that, he heads down, keeping his spear at the ready.

 

[Floozer]

Heading down the metal stairs mmakes loud clangs as his feet hit the steel and bright white lights illuminate his path. It seems to go down forever and Kai is beginning to regret this as he will have to go back up but it is then that he reaches the bottom and a large steel door blocks his path. Right of the door is some sort of thing... with numbers on it from 1 to 9 and 0 on the bottom.

 

[Archangel99]

Whaaa? Oh well that's fucking perfect. A code. Wonderful. They couldn't even find out the stupid code for their stupid droid! Sending one guy here to do everything... Great!

He grumbles when he sees the door lock, and looks around the passage, not really expecting it, but half-hoping to find the code scratched into the wall or something similar.

 

[Floozer]

Nope, this hall is just blank and ends with that door and the code pad. Seems rushing down here ran into some unexpected issues.

 

[Archangel99]

He sighs, and then looks back up the stairs before groaning.

Great. Now I'll have to go all the way back up to find this stupid code... Like as if it was something people would want to steal! Why did they have to protect it so much!? Nobody would be stupid enough to want the extinction of the human race!

He sighs before starting to walk up the stairs... And then heading to the stairs leading up. Seemed he was doing a lot of staircase climbing...

[Nobody except me that is. ]

 

[Floozer]

Up the stairs he goes, legs burning as he reaches the top, before heading up even more stairs to the ground floor and even more stairs to the second floor. This floor is full of more offices and cubicles... probably not likely to find the code for a secret room in a basic employee office.

 

[Archangel99]

[Legs wouldn't really be burning if he spent all his life running around in the jungle, right?]

"Great. Whole bunch of lowly employees. I need to find the stupid boss's room! Gah... Might as well just find the biggest one..." He grumbles to himself as he starts looking for the boss's room.

 

[Floozer]

[effort is still effort.]

His search leads him up and up until he is finally at the top floor. A wooden door with CEO Ryan written elegantly on it sits in front of him... and is locked.

 

[Archangel99]

You... Have got... To be... Fucking kidding me. He thinks as he stares at the door, eye twitching.

Welp, nothing for it. Time to break the door down!
Then, he kicks the door as hard as he can, aiming for the lock. With the state of the building... Either the whole floor would crumble away, or the door would break.
