Starting Over [Archangel] [Discontinued]

[Floozer]

"Just down the road a bit, think they set up in an old car park or something" He says with a one armed shrug. "Thanks a bunch in advance!" He calls as Kai heads down the street. Sure enough he can see some old cars pushed together to make a make shift wall and hear some younger sounding voices in the distance.

 

[Archangel99]

He sighs and circles around the camp, looking for a slightly higher spot he can view the camp from. Along the way, he starts collecting small stones.

 

[Floozer]

The only high point is some giant metal pole with a faded away sign. Your father called it a 'billboard' before. Sadly, they would likely see him trying to climb up the ladder.

 

[Archangel99]

Failing to find a high place, he decides to look around for objects or ruins around the campsite that would offer some reasonable cover.

 

[Floozer]

There seems to be a large collection of dumpsters and random junk off to the side that he could hide behidn... if he doesn't mind the smell of hundred year old trash.

 

[Archangel99]

He doesn't mind the smell, and circles around till he's behind the dumpsters. Then, he peeks over the dumpsters to see how many people there are.

[Just FYI, after 100 years, it won't even smell. XD]

 

[Floozer]

There are two young men and a young women wearing make shift armor out of car tires and random metal plates. They must be around Max's age if not younger and certainly fit the punk type with their fohawks and slightly gothic looks. Sitting on a make shift pedestal is a metal arm... guess it was their first big haul.

"So, how much do you think we can get for it?"

"This question again? Geeze man, we been over this! a couple thousand at least! you know momma loves this kind of work!"

"And you are making a huge assumption that momma will even let us in the slag dome! Last time we got close Teddy started shooting remember?!"

 

[Archangel99]

He raises an eyebrow at the rather odd conversation, before picking up one of the stones he had picked up from the streets, and throwing it as far away from himself as possible.

 

[Floozer]

It smacks again some old sheet metal and they all jump to their feet, drawing knives and one even has a gun!

"What was that?!"

"Relax, something probably just fell over, happens all the time."

The third one moves over to check on the noise, leaving just two at the arm now.

 

[Archangel99]

He throws two more stones in two different directions, trying to get rid of those two as well. He does, however, give a time gap of five seconds between each throw.

 

[Floozer]

"Ok, now I know someone is fucking with us!" Teh girl with the gun mutters angrily "you check that side, i'm checking over there."

The two slowly move out to check the noises, leaving the arm unguarded.

 

[Archangel99]

He quickly and stealthily moves to the pedestal, wanting to grab the arm before they return.

[Brb.]

 

[Floozer]

He manages to sneak over to the arm and grab it from its resting spot before he hears "Hey.... HEY! That guy is stealing our loot!" and the sounds of running footsteps as the punks start running toward him!

 

[Archangel99]

"Ack. Fuck." He quickly snatches the arm and breaks into a run, heading for the building he was in earlier, the star shaped one from which he had seen the smoke.

 

[Floozer]

He soon heasr the bang of a gun and a bullet slams into the floor next to him... she was actually shooting at him! The building is getting closer by now, but she will likely shoot again before then!

He yelps as the shot hits the floor, and quickly changes direction, running around the next corner to try and double back on them.

 

[Floozer]

Seconds after he rounds the corner another shot goes off and hits the wall where he was a second ago. Down the ally way he suddenly sees a familar face of the merchant he is helping "Hey! Come down here! Quickly!"

 

[Archangel99]

He quickly dashes towards the merchant, terror on his face as he runs right for him with the arm flapping about wildly. "Gun!" He whispers harshly.

 

[Floozer]

"I know!" He grabs Kai by the arm and tugs him around the corner. "Oh, you got my arm... wonderful! But first!" He holds up a disc shaped thing and slides it across the ally to get the attention of the punks while holding a plastic box in his hand. "Wait for it..."

The punks come around the corner and freeze in place as they see the merchant. "What?! You stole it back for him!? Oh i'm gonna-"

"Do nothing cause you idiots are standing on land mines." He says with a smile as the punks look around and Kai finally sees his trap, four land mines sit in front and behind the group since they came around the corner.

 

[Archangel99]

"Wha...? How the hell did I not run into those...?" He asks, eyes wide with surprise.

 

[Floozer]

"Cause they are remote detonated duh... Now here is how this will work. You hand over that gun of yours and I wont turn you into bits!" He says with a big mile.

The punks look at each other and she soon sighs, putting the gun down and kicking it over to Kai. "There, can we leave now?"

"Eh yea, go and fuck off already." He mutters as they all run away and he takes his mines back "Good work there buddy, you really baited those kids!"

 

[Archangel99]

"Well... That's... Normal hunting tactics. Umm... Bait or scare. Stuff like that. Perfectly normal..." He says, rambling as he shivers from the fear of nearly getting shot.

 

[Floozer]

"Well, feel free to keep that pistol... it ain't much but it is better than nothing." he takes his arm from Kai and pushes it into the socket on his shoulder. He takes a deep breath before pulling a lever on it and grunting in pain as his arm starts moving "Ow... I hate connecting the nerves..."

 

[Archangel99]

"Ah... Did you make that, or... Is it a relic?" He asks, picking up the gun and sticking it into his leaf pouch.

 

[Floozer]

"I did not make it, it was given to me by a very powerful friend." He stops and thinks for a moment "You said you were looking for your brother yea?"

 

[Archangel99]

"Ahh... Yeah. Yeah I was." Kaizen murmurs, glancing at him. "Can you help?"

Powerful friend? Where? Why is he here in the city...?

 

[Floozer]

"Well... that friend I mentioned might be able to help you... buuuuuut, you gotta be on your best behavior. You are new here so you don't know this yet, but people have been staking claims around the city and one of the big names in Mamma Slag. Now Mamma is a nice lady but you gotta be on your best behavior around her if you want to get anything done... and she won't help you for free. But if your brother came through here, she is the one who would know."

 

[Archangel99]

"Ah... Hold on. Those kids, those punks said something about Momma paying them well. Is that... The same one...?" He asks, wincing slightly.

 

[Floozer]

"The one and only... unless there is some fake Mamma walking around trying to steal her fame... which would be a stupid idea by the way. If they tried to sell my arm to mamma they would just get an ass whooping."

 

[Archangel99]

"Ah... Okay then. I... Suppose I'll go find her... Where is she, by the way?" He asks, glancing at him.

Yikes. She sounds... Scary. But... Place like this... Suppose that's perfectly normal...
