"Maybe. But that would be far too convenient and is probably full of mutants." He says, shaking his head.
"Yeah... I suppose so..." He murmurs, sighing. "I'm going to kick Max's ass so hard for this..." He grumbles, looking at the mountain ahead and continuing to walk towards it.
"Well, all I'm going to do is cause him some harm. It's not like I'm going to kill him. The last thing I want is him dead. I promised my parents I would keep him safe..." He says, glancing off to the side.
"Not if you're just going to kick someone's butt. It's a cushiony thing. It's not going to cause any internal damage. Just gonna sting for a while." He says, chuckling.
She sighs and looks at him "Physical acts of aggression from people closest to you, mainly trusted friends and family members, can lead to a multitude of issues, mostly mental ones. Despite the obvious bruising and discomfort, it can lead to a loss of trust, emotional separation, trauma and even depression."
"Oh yeah? Well, whoever put that stuff into your database has clearly never been disciplined his entire life. Whenever I did something stupid, my dad would slap me or kick me. When I was young, I hated him for it. But when I grew older? I realized just how much he loved me. What they do is out of concern, so that the child doesn't do it again." He says right back.
"Heh. Not always. Sometimes, you need to smack kids around to get them to respect you. I remember being a complete ass to my parents at one point. Then, my dad had enough, and slapped me right across the face, while lecturing me about proper respect. I was never like that again, for fear of bearings. After I grew up, I realised why he did everything he did. And I also realized that by avoiding anything that he considered bad, I would get less beatings. Do you see what I'm getting at now?" He says.
He groans and facepalms. "If that was the case, I'd hate his guts for the rest of my life. But no, I don't. I love him even more for what he did." He says, sighing.
"Whoever programmed you with that crap must not have been disciplined enough." He says, rolling his eyes. "Okay. Hina. Let's think about what I would be like now, if my dad hadn't disciplined me whenever I did something wrong. I'd be a liar, a thief, a glutton, probably a rapist, extremely foul mouthed, and most probably would not know how to behave in society. Would you still like to hang out with me?" He challenges.
"We could argue this forever. Let's just agree that both methods are applicable. But for fuck's sake, my dad was not abusing me. He never beat me without a reason. THAT is abuse. You need to update your definitions!" He says.
"Think what you want. If my kids act out of line even after I talk to them about why it's wrong, I'm going to slap them a few times as well." He says with a shrug.
He sighs and closes his eyes. "Hina... In a world like this, we can't have kids who are soft." He murmurs. "In this world, being soft is a danger to yourselves, as well as the people around you. You have to be raised tough."
"I assume you're thinking that my dad never showed me any love, huh? Well that's where you're wrong. Both he and my mom loved us to pieces. But when either of us would do something unbelievably stupid that put either us, or people around us, in danger, we would get our butts spanked." He says. "Something that you need, too." He says, winking at her and grinning.
"Reaaaally...? I suppose you're not one of those kinky kinda droids my mom told me about." He teases, laughing at her expression.
"Last night would say otherwiiiiise." He teases, still grinning at her. "And you also said something about a bunch of adult videos in your head too, didn't you?" He teases, giving her a few nudges with his elbow.
