The airheaded, buxom cowgirls?

Nah, specifically the Qilin but that's me, while I don't mind the cowgirls I haven't actually gotten to it yet.

And, I presume, not be petted by strangers? I mean, unless collared, I guess.

I'd love to get petted by random cute girls, and i mean though I'd not be interested in them non-creepy/non-aggressive guys.

Being transported to the TiTs universe is like the start of every boring Isekai novel, give me the universe in a more organic fashion and you'd have a deal.
I'd take the look of my Steele, as he is just the starter Half-Ausar, and get a sort of mechanic/electrician job instead of being a rusher/adventurer.

Being a Spess HVAC tech would be pretty great being as it would most likely to all sorts of "I'll heat you up little puppy~" situations.

This is hard for me to say. On one hand I very much like the idea, on the other...... oh boy.

TiTs is one of my favorite games, and sometimes people wish they could be in that game. But under no circumstance would I want to live in Dark Souls, thats not something even an insane person would do. If I were to go to TiTs and live there, I want full control beforehand to set my appearance, background, and starting pool. To make that more simple, I would become my main Steele, with everything that entails excluding the Steele name. I dont need that baggage.

But in general it is a pretty hard sell. To go and relearn everything? If this was a option to go to after I die, then maybe. I get to learn from scratch and I dont need to worry about my family wondering why their darling child disappeared. I would die from that guilt.

This fairly needs more thought on my end. If I can choose everything before I go in Id do it, given the chance I can avoid the guilt of disappearing on my family. But this is all hypothetical anyway, but those are my terms. Im staying rooted here until then.

I figure if I can't cut it as a space adventurer, there's always saving up for trip to New Texas, getting the Treatment and getting a job at Beth's.

When I truly think about it i'd probably get to Tarkus if I lived as Steele and die standing out in the open in front of Khorgans mining mech/power suit saying "I want one!"... unless I had one in which case rock-'em sock-'em mech suits, sheered metal slag, and some salvage!

For a second there I thought you were gonna say you like Tarkus due to the little sex crazed kobold/reptilian rabbits :p

Great, now I actually want to play a TiTS-based Starfinder game where I'm just a regular HVAC tech being dragged along with the other, more capable and adventurous players, just because their air conditioning unit in their ship keeps malfunctioning. If only such a thing existed. :(

If someone could make a cyberpunk bartending visual novel, surely you can make this.

In the game we are the main character, rich, heir of a name.
actually going there? we would be a no one that would have to find a way to survive and make some bucks.

you are transported to TITs universe, but you don't need to rush or go in the same places as Steele or act as Steele.
like you don't necessarily need to walk in planets in middle of a war, or take walks in jungle planets where there's wild life plants and bugs wanting to put eggs in you.

There are probably a lot of better and safe places in that universe, but you would still be no one, that's just the major problem. But, hey transformations and nanomachines, of course i'd go.

But would you be able to afford them? It's not like we know what the wages/salaries are like in TiTS.

some of them seem to be as easy as buying clothes, but that's not much as there are really expansive clothing, so maybe it would just depend on what you do for living

I always thought the prices in-game were more reflective of balance.

The in-game pricing system is a disaster and pretty random. Items with the same stats might have wildly different prices and sometimes items with better stats are cheaper than others with worse stats.

I must use this as a silly mode reference for when I make an android character!

Don't the androids you can find on tarkus say this in one of their scenes if you have silly mode on?

Like most future settings that need both meaningful conflict and safe havens to do what you like, TITS-world seems to have utopian and dystopian elements even out to a life maybe not so different from the real world, but with more cool toys. And the game's setting is quite specifically the bleeding-edge frontier.

Health care technology that might as well be magic is available over the counter (sometimes expensive, but still potentially affordable), humanity at least seems to be getting along well for the most part and other races tend to benefit from space-age technology, and it's certainly never been a better time to be trans or non-binary, given you can alter your body to be what you're comfortable in with relatively few side-effects, though it's clear some people get addicted pretty easily. Racism and sexism are probably much smaller problems with how race and sex can be altered so easily, and the diverse alien population has gotten people used to their neighbours being every imaginable shape and colour.

There are mentions of wars that killed billions, planet-cracking disasters, slavery and exploitation, though all those tend to be just scaled-up versions of real world problems. (sadly) Probably a net gain even if you end up the same masturbating dork you are now just in a different setting, because at least the porn is way better.

*Finally walks out of his captians cabin after 3 weeks and Anno asks what the hell I've been up to and why an arm is 10x bigger than the other* "... I've just been... checking out some of that internet porn I heard about..."

But yeah overall a lot of the other things in TiTs are basically standard with the setting.

Yes and no, Would I be apart of the rush? heck no, realistically i would open up a shop of some kind or some other safe cushy job, with the possibility of an occasional adventure, but only after I make enough money to guarantee my safety with the proper arms and armor, and in addition i would not make myself into my Steele, there is only one reason someone would purposefully mod themselves to become little more than a baby factory that i can see, and that is to create an army, to what end I don't know but based on the number of kids my steele has, she can form at least one Battalion (700 and counting)

I would probably participate on planet rushes if possible, all those new species to discover, study and classify, it's just too much for me to resist.
