Istaran updated "Redscale's adventure" over on inkbunny for those interested.(not my game)

For those who don't know.

Redscale's adventure is a text-based furry/scaly adventure/empire building/porn game, where you play as a male red dragon and try to rebuild your empire, dragon hoard and have a lot of sex with stuff (if you want to), go on adventures etc.

Content includes m/m, m/f, incest, rape, m/m/f, slavery, consensual sex.

Istaran could always use more writers for those interested. Also I don't know how to post links.

This looks interesting. Thanks for pointing it out. It requires an account on the inkbunny blog to access but thats easy enough.

The game itself reminds me strongly of "a dark room" altough Redscale's Adventure is not real time. There seems to be a lot of ambition towards the base building and exploration including projected mass-combat at some point. Sexual content is choosable towards your desires. Probably still a lot of development needed for final version but definitely worth a look already.

And there is even a story/plot to discover! :D.

Just what exactly changed in the update? Was it a small or big change?

He added more sex seens and made a New save file format.

(New options in a number of places to gather resources with your current party. Doing so risks being attacked by the locals.
More Nezumi. More sex with worgs. More options to rape certain foes, including those that don't surrender. Even a bit of vore to be had.) from the site. He going to try to update again, targeting late January.

Mass combat has been in for some time, but I reduced the frequency, most notably by making base defense use single combat, because it was time consuming and could get tedious. If you want it, the most reliable way to get into it is the Old Road area, where that is most of what you encounter.

Also, I'm quite fond of the Fetish filter feature. Note that not all filters have content in the game yet. I figure it's better to let people set their preferences in advance and only be surprised in pleasant ways as new content is added.

You still owe us sexy vore scenes! :D
Also: Can I breed my own army already (did I not reach it yet) or isn't it in the game
And I have to say sometimes the game is HARD AS BALLS

Honestly, I haven't yet reached the Old Road. Just played it a while and got to like Level 15 because I keep encountering ogres Level 28, Kobold Foremen Level 32 and the Bluescale Patrol Level 100 ... that usually does not end well for me :D. Doesn't bother me much though, because it is a challenge and HARD AS BALLS, as @Darkfirephoenix mentioned.

There is a bug when I try to feed to many kobolds to Jack, the chained Lycan. Is there a way to free and recruit him?

The filter is very nice, I agree on that. A nice feature of it is you get an information when a sex-scene would be available, what setting in the filter is preventing it from being actually available. That's quite handy.

It may be just my imagination but I get the feeling, workers in the base dont stay at there post once I explore for a while; but it could just be I did not pay enough attention where I put what minion.

There are some sexy vore scenes in with nezumi and kobolds. There are no soft vore (ie nonfatal) currently. So the current vore scenes all count as murder and have the appropriate tracking for such.
Breeding isn't in yet, it'll be a while yet. Top of my queue of major things is creating side parties to go on missions for you.
As for difficulty... it's meant to have some challenge, and I admit I sometimes lose myself, but generally only when I don't play seriously. Any particular comments on things that are too easy/hard?

Your workers will stop what they are doing if there isn' enough food produced for them, so first off get enough hunters or other food producers.
You can free the lycan via recruiting (maybe even killing) the kobold guard, I suggest your try recruiting them as they are a follower/rook (and not a pawn). Just keep off the raping and stuff if you encounter a enemy that you can "recruit" as it will make further recruit attempts harder/they are pissed after you recruit them.

The difficulty jump is a bit harsh if you go from the kobold warrens into the mines (it ranges from lvl 2 enemies up to 35+!) and once the blue dragon starts patroling the woods you are screwed if you aren't extremely carefull (which doesn't help your "progress" as the woods are the next difficulty level after the warrens).
So you get pushed outta the woods (which is for level 10+) into the mines (which are level 15+ with GIANT fluctuations). I never even made it past the first multi battle on the roads.

Regarding the vore: I liked those scenes with the nezumi and kobolds, maybe make them more sexy? For example a kobold may get off over the idea to give you the biggest service they will ever be able to (beside serving as breedingstock).
Or a combination off rape/fuck and vore after you beat a enemy to get the most out of enemies that would be otherwise useless to you. (fuck em silly and then swallow em while they are unable to resist)
Or a ritualistic vore: a spectacle in your honor where the "victim" gets banged by multiple others and you and then goes willingly?
(so many ideas that I have... do you have some other place where you could supply ideas? Vore with fatal results isn't liked very much here)

A side comment: How about a way to establish a trade/supply route between bases? I don't really want to ferry candles and other materials around personally (I'm a dragon! Why should I do such lowly task?)

Thanks for the advice about the food production.

I can't free the Wolf Prisoner, though. I have beaten two kobold guards already and he is still not recruitable.

The Error masage when feeding him to many Kobolds looks like this:
"Error #1010
null"
The game freezes after that and I have to restart the game.

You have to beat the kobold prison guard (he sometimes appears if you leave the prison), if you recruit him you can ask him for the key.
Please pay close attention that the PRISON GUARD is someone different from the normal kobold guards you encounter in the mines.

I don't remember if you have the chance to try and recruit him if you knock his HP to 0 or if you have to get him to give up (via roar once his HP is low, maybe 10% or so).
And don't worry as long as you don't eat him while you have the option to "recruit" he will reappear even if you fail the recruitment. Took me also multiple attempts. AND DON'T RAPE HIM or it will just get harder

Also raping kobolds/lycans etc. will piss off the others, which means they are less likely to join you/less inclined to give up

Thanks for bug report, I will try to fix in 0.29. As others said, kill, enslave or recruit Jaith the Kobold Warden to get Jack out. Also, Teleport now works, if you get it from the Assassins, starting in 0.29, as someone requested a way to get him out without Jaith.
I don't remember if you have the chance to try and recruit him if you knock his HP to 0 or if you have to get him to give up (via roar once his HP is low, maybe 10% or so).
Recruitable characters have plot armor that allows them to survive with 1 hp to surrender, unless a plot trigger prevents surrender. (Jillian won't surrender if you have Glitterscale in your party and not Jack when you meet her, for exampe.)

A quick notice. Signup required.
Technically you don't have to have a user account. You can use the Allowed Ratings page to unlock adult content and view it anonymously, but then it will forget your settings each time and make you keep going back to enable. (The game contents will save fine, the game doesn't know anything about your inkbunny account or vice versa.)
At one point I did have the options set to only allow registered users to see it, but I changed that quite a long time ago because someone requested the change and I didn't have a compelling reason not to.

Thanks for clarifying. I only wanted to alert other interested members. I know a few have issues with having to sign up for a new page, for every single game they want to just look at. But cool there is another option. Kudos!

Redscale's adventure has been updated again.(update 0.29)

copy and pasted

(Added a whip animation for Jaith's attack/feint/trap in mass combat. Probably needs more work on the pixel art, but seems to function right, at least. Fixed a bug that kobolds had the wrong default animations in some cases. (Attack/feint/trap should show spear stab for both normal and sorc in mass combat now, aside from those that override with a weapon template.)

Added male/female vore scenes for kobolds. To activate, cause a kobold to surrender and chose the Devour option. It will be shown only if you have sufficient fetish filters enabled (allow Vore, Oral, Penile, and Vaginal. As typical with kobolds you need to enable both genders since you don't know which it will be).

Spider webs deplete your position in single combat now, like they do in mass combat. When facing a spider, you can't fly away while your position is negative (you are webbed). If you are already webbed, the button will be disabled, but you can also be knocked out of flying if the spider does web on the turn you try to fly away.

Starting to limit buildings and out-of-base harvesting based on enslaving or devouring a suitable enemy first. I.e. need to claim a Kobold Miner before you can build your own mining camp or take the Mine action.
I want to have a minimal set of what you can do in your bases initially, and scale out more options as you play rather than the current overwhelming set of options immediately.
Current restrictions:
Mining - devour/enslave a Kobold Miner or Kobold Foreman to unlock. Required for Mining Camp, and Mine action.
Woodcutting - devour/enslave a normal Lycan to unlock. Required for Lumber Camp and the Chop Wood actions (Wolfen Wood and Shadow Wood).
Prostitution - devour/enslave a normal Feline to unlock. Required for Brothel.

(updated 1/17) Filled the IOUs for the Nezumi Seduce sex scenes. Including a bit more work into the metascene there. (If you seduce a Nezumi bonecutter in combat, you can fuck up to 4 times now, pausing to cuddle and drink some tea in between. The bias on the randomizer should avoid any duplicates in the same scene, or at least make it a rare event, unless your filters are too strict.) Convincing them to have sex by Will To Sex being greatest now triggers one round of sex from the Seduce scene, without the rest of the scene (no tea/cuddle/devour/etc.)

Added Quarry option in Kobold Warrens, if you have Mining. Has a risk of triggering a mass combat ambush.
Devour/enslave Bonecutter is needed for gathering bone or building a Bone Collectors building now.
Devour/enslave Assassin opens the Teleport command in combat now. It's a magically boosted form of Maneuver, and beats the normal Maneuver entirely in single combat. In mass combat, it moves you after Maneuver, and ignores obstacles. At least that's the idea. (Redscale already bypasses obstacles with flight on most maps, so...)

Fixed the harvesting actions to trigger passage of time after you harvest.

Reworking Jack's "talk" option. Once you free him, you no longer get the same options from when he was imprisoned. Instead I am putting in new topics to discuss. All options are in now. Each gives a small boost to Words affinity the first time you chose it, and one of them adds a couple new arguments to the rotation, which can help convince enemies to join you... just keep Jack's words in mind.

Extended Nezumi female pawn vaginal fuck scene and added Glitterscale fuck scene. The Glitterscale fuck scene deals 100 damage to each of you, among other effects, but can't kill either of you. Both are based on text provided by toothandclaw.

Replaced 'oral' fetish filter with 'fellatio', 'cunnilingus', and 'analingus' filters. The first two should be set based on your 'oral' filter when loading an older save. The last must be specifically turned on, if desired. Analingus scenes are no longer blocked based on 'anal' tag unless something else is also going up a butt. Fellatio scenes are still filtered by fellatio + penile if Redscale sucks off another dude. (Still not up for the level of detail to allow Redscale to suck off dudes and fuck their asses without also allowing him to take it up his ass. Feedback?)

Properly connected in the ability to specify special Rape scenes for Followers as enemies. They should be accessible for Jaith and Midnight now. (These were written months ago but not properly connected until now.)

Jaith's victory over Redscale now has alt version if the Filters don't allow (M/M + Penile + NonCon).

Jack can now be set free by Teleport, if you're weird enough to get Teleport before Jack. Considering an additional option with ripping the chain from the wall, requiring like Str 50+ and permanently leaving him with a thick metal collar. :p Maybe not worth the effort to figure out where all it should be mentioned.

Pawns can now contribute in combat. Each round, one of the 8 pawns in your ring will be selected randomly (if you have less than 8, sometimes it will be none selected). They may contribute based on the enemy's action choice and their options based on race and templates. Current implemented:
Lycan give position penalty vs overpower or feint.
Feline deals damage against defend or trap ("flank", which is basically feint)
Kobold overpower, damaging vs feint or defend
Nezumi trap, damaging vs attack or maneuver
Sorcerer shoot lightning, dealing damage vs Attack or Overpower
Assassin teleport (you), giving position bonus vs Maneuver or Feint (replace trap damage on Maneuver)
Bow and pickaxe attack, dealing damage vs Maneuver or Overpower (more if using Black Bow/silver pickaxe).
Battleaxe overpowers, dealing damage vs feint or defend (more using silver)
Blades increases damage for Nezumi trap.
3x Blades gives chance to Feint ("Flank").

Magic type pawn effects (lightning/teleport) cost the pawn mana now, and will be bypassed for other options if out of mana.

Pawns attempting to contribute get XP now toward raising their personal racial level, possibly even if they fail to contribute (wrong enemy action type). (It's essentially treated as fail xp.) This will help level your front 8 pawns over time, but note that it's hard/random for a pawn to actually progress from this. They need 1 hit/1 miss or 3 total attempts for the same pawn, with each round being random 1 in 8 chance of a particular pawn. So odds aren't great, especially in a short fight. At least they don't -have- to be in mass combat to level.

Revised effect level of the contributions to be based on stats. Uses pawn's relevant attack stats, (+level for magic), +weapon bonus for contributions granted by a weapon, +your Fellowship, -enemy Fear and defense stat (based on action). Actions that impact the enemy count their position penalty, while those affecting you (healing, position bonus, etc.) count your position bonus.

Replaced all instances of 'cloaca' with a more accurate term such as slit, or genital slit.

I'll be honest; I mostly liked the game and while I liked the *concept* of the mass battles, i thought they weren't terribly well executed. For me personally, learning the enemy tells and using them correctly is a large part of the charm of the game. The mass battles lose that entirely :/.

I have a lot of problems with Jack. There's a good chance of the game crashing whenever I feed him. Just now I walked away from him and the game just stopped - nothing available to click.
With the restricted saving I lose a lot of play each time it crashes.

Edit: This is a repeatable crash on new saves. After feeding him one, either feeding him again or leaving crashes the game. I PMd Istaran on Inkbunnies to report.

The next update will have crashs dump you onto the location menu when possible, hopefully minimizing the trouble they cause. If you get one, I still want to know and it might be best to switch save slots in case something gets corrupted.
While I will try to fix all crashes, I am bound to make more as I go. Sorry.

I think the mass battles brake the pace of the game, too.

In general, often you get into a huge wall of micro that's not really rewarding.

IMHO mass battles are not a bad idea but I'd scale down the micro on them: Divide soldiers into groups, have less stuff on the screen, less playable space, more special abilities and "tells" et cetera.

My main issue with the game is the really weird difficulty spike, starting in the Wolfen Woods. It's a bit annoying having to grind in the Mine so you can be high enough level to bypass it. I know you can just wait for the bluescale patroller to pass, but it gets quite annoying having to grind the Mine just to get to the Woods, and then after you get a decent ways into the Woods, you have to start grinding again to survive the Shadow Woods, which seems rather empty currently.

It feels like the game would be a lot better if it wasn't so grindy.

As well, as stated above, Jack is glitched pretty badly, making him pretty difficult to do anything with. Jack isn't the only one who suffers from this, as a lot of events give you dead-ends where you can't do anything but restart.

Also, trying to scroll the map is not only extremely slow, but it will glitch out if you try to move it while the turn is ongoing, forcing you to restart in mass-battles, not to mention the overall boredom of these mass-battles.

The game is alright, but it just seems like it's trying to do too much instead of being what it is. The reason CoC, Fall of Eden, and TiTs were so successful is the fact that they didn't try to overextend themselves, and weren't throwing people into a meat-grinder to get to place-to-place. I'm not sure if there are more than two followers currently (seeing as how I have Midnight and Wandering Eye following me), but if there is, the rarity of them seems a bit harsh.

Alrighty, i've devoured plenty of Lycans throughout the game and I have yet to receive the option to go collect lumber. Am I doing something wrong, or is a bug fucking me?

You have to enslave lycans and have an axe in your inventory if I remember correctly. Also, I think it is easier to just create the correct facilities in your forest camp? And then put lycans slaves to work there.

I have plenty of enslaved Lycans and dozens of axes, and I still don't have the option. Nor do I have the option to build a logging camp.

Next update will be within the next ten days and has fixes for some of these issues, especially Jack.

Mass combat definitely needs an overhaul, if not abandonment. I have been avoiding messing with it for a while now. It opens a lot of possibilities, but yeah micro is overwhelming, there are some pathing bugs I don't have the time to fix, and... as someone who loves that kind of game, I don't find it -fun-.

On the plus side I've gotten some ideas for 1v1 to expand it, so yay!

Thanks for your comments. There are currently 6 possible followers, but the Jack glitch may be making it hard to get some of them. Such as Jack. More details are on the wiki, which I am still assembling.
