Question about Caits relationship

Since Cait is getting her new expansion, I have to ask, will we be able to keep being "Friends With Benefits", AKA Sex Buddies? By which I mean, keep our relationship platonic despite screwing with her and helping her on her quest. I would like that, since, well, I like it. Since most of other female characters can not help but confess love to us if we show them even ounce of compassion. Cait being like a good female friend is just really refreshing. A person that can tell a difference between love and lust.

And at same time, I am not really into the kind of relationship she is offering in these types of game. It is just not for me most of the time.

If love route is unavoidable if I bang her, then, well, I will just not bang her. She is cute enough as she is. It would just leave me somewhat sad for loosing that kind of relationship, even if it was built on false assumptions.

But at same time, it would not make sense for her character to get offended/being against us just being just fuck buddies. So I have faith.

I'm pretty sure Savin keeps the concerns like yours in mind and intentionally leaves her relationship status with the PC relatively ambiguous to appeal to both the "romance catte" and "platonic fuckbuddy" demographics.

I am waiting for public patch to release so I have no clue how it is written. But from what I have heard , she only will let her anal cherry be popped by someone special. I hope that we can refuse her to not give her any false ideas.

Sex is about 2 people. The whole concept of consent is that both parties are happy and willing to commit to the act.
And before you say "but you are not roleplaying as a character, you are playing as a specific one" as a excuse. I am sorry, but even if that is somewhat true, our character is still able to refuse many other sexual opportunities and advances. What makes this one special? Why is a simple "No" not an option? Will Cait be so heartbroken that she will not want to speak to us again? Fine, let her. But that seems hard to believe.
Considering her whole concept is that she is OK with casual, consensual sex. To the point that she warns you about it. How she will continue to fuck other people (even tho rest of companions do not have this warning). This just seems so out of place for her character.

Our PC can refuse advances of other NPCs if we as so choose. We are not forced to commit intercourse with Ryn when she asks us for sex. We are not forced to free Kiyoko if we do not want. Which is why this case is so strange to me. Even If I was personally into anal, I would still have liked options to refuse. I do not see what makes this case so special.

But why are we as players forced to do that? What would it cost us if we could just say no? Would people here be fine if we had unavoidable anal scene where champion was receiver? Or if we were forced to fuck Brint before getting Brienne? Sure our champion is going to enjoy it either way. But should we not consider players feelings in equation. Especially in cases like this where it is easy to avoid. It should not require that much extra dialogue.

First time she asks you, you get many different options, but you can only fuck her if you have a dick. You can also refuse her or take her home. At no time are you forced to fuck her. Now yes, if you want to progress her relationship, you have to become her lover. Which is why I rarely do it. I know that at high confidence she forces you to kiss her which Is why I let her stay as meek princess. I am not into her. And If Cait was like that from the start, I would have not entered sexual intercourse with her.
