Underwater Holloween Town
Puppet Nightmares

RPG browser game with a dark, twisted story, turn-based battles and pokemon-like monster collecting, also includes a breeding system.

Puppet Nightmares is a web game made by Ignis in January of 2008. An evil toy maker is luring children into a nightmare filled world, to manipulate their souls and rob them of their innocence. Only you can collect and unlock the powerful Soul Puppets that are needed to stop his madness.

The game is filled to the brim with fantastic art, fun gameplay, original content, and lovable characters. This game changes often so some information and images might be outdated. There is also one feature that I am quite fond of and that's the ability to create custom character and add them to the game, depending on how much credits(special in-game currency) your custom character will cost.

It is an interesting game with good story and charater, but there was nothing erotic about it, although I thought I saw a post about the author realizing that and starting a change.

I was about to post the same thing; but then I accidentally let my succubus get KO'd and her sprite changed into one of her giving a BJ. So I guess that counts as erotic....? >_>

I played this for a while, it definitely helped pass some long night shifts. I quit because I got sick of how aggressively monetized the game is. The puppets that actually have erotic content are usually sold at premium sales for more than $50. The whales in the community are pretty insane. The day after a new puppet went on sale for $90 apiece, I ran into a guy in multiplayer who was fielding 10 of them. No one else in chat seemed to find that unusual.

I don't know what to say, I don't like the game.

The plot has not convinced me, the gameplay is monotonous but the characters are good but not fantastic.

For me it's pretty poor for a game.

Game is a turd... I was moderately interested in the story, tried it out for the day, but then someone gave me a gift new toon i had to level up to the same level as my other 'creatures'...

Made the mistake of bothering to ask if macroing was allowed in chat, due to 37 minute feeding timer...

Someone replied it was not... I replied, "Ok, won't then... Guess i will just have to spend all day tomorrow feeding PB&Jf sandwiches"

Game owner "Ignis"  came into chat and threatened to ban me for having asked... Snarkily replied,  "C'mon, man, don't reduce the games population to 77 worldwide!"..

He said something to the effect of, "77 with an attitude better than you"... Before i could type, "aww, i'm not that bad, you'll get to like my snarky sense of humor", he had banned me from chat...

Do yourself a favor, steer clear.

Attend a Klan rally instead... A lot sexier, more people, way more inclusiveness and more socially accepting...

Guy has obvious control issues... Guess that is why he has 78 peak World Wide players on a Wednesday night... Well... 77 now... LOL.

No adults allowed.

Ahh yeah, I remember this game, it's more of mature then adult :p

Anyways, it was not that monetized when I last played it, around a year or two, maybe three, ago. There were ways to get the game credits for free, like battling other players in PvP (both against players and bots) and exploring (that idle one where you have to wait XX hours after setting a party). I also remember it also having added a daily login bonus.

The game was alright, but got boring after awhile, with how repetitive and slow in update it was.

The style of the game is pretty old, where you have a party of 3-4 puppets which you use to explore the are and do quests, which may unlock new puppets. Though there was this episode thing, where you can repeat them any number of times, to get everything and such.

That is around the time I played it as well. Aggressive free to play models are scary.

It's okay. Like neopets but with porn.

it doesn't really have porn. there is a FTB breeding mechanic similar to pokemon and an instance of plot which includes walking in on the aftermath of offscreen scene where females are captured by monsters and used as breeders and you get you put them out of their misery when you finally fight your way to them because they are too broken and magically corrupted.

The plot is locked away behind ridiculous amount of grinding (that starts off small but grows exponentially) that I simply couldn't stomach going through, IIRC there are 5 chapters and by chapter 2 the amount of grinding was such that i simply hit a wall and couldn't progress. there is simply not enough content variety to justify it, and spending a month redoing the same quest every day is just painful

Yeah, if I remember correctly, the 'puppets' had a quality to them too; so depending on the quality, they have different stat growth, but you started out with the lowest, so they're uber weak, and you'll need to replace them ASAP... But you can't tell the quality of stuff till up hatch them, unless you buy something with the game credits :p  Pretty much newer players won't be too successful until they learn about the mechanics. I'd recommend using the auction house to buy some cheap great/superb if you every decide to play it, but don't expect too much from the game itself, it's pretty much: You follow some plot, grind and/or get better puppets/equips if you're having difficulties, and that's about it, besides unlocking/collecting the puppets & achievements and playing the game on higher difficulties.

The thing is, you can earn a decent amount of paid currency while playing ingame. to the point where you can get most if not all of those items without spending money. At least, that was the way it was when I played it. But that was at least 5 years ago. So things might have changed.
