Kass stopping Calise from going on a massive slaughter rampage that disrupts her operations
So how many demons do you think Calise killed and how did she kill them. mind you the first things she encountered on her way to KM were imps and the first imps were birthed by Kas long after we woke up, and Exactly what "operations" was she disrupting.
Oh, and the cultist enemies you brought up? If you interrogate or lose to them, they explicitly say that they're on orders from Kasyrra herself to fight you, humiliate you a little if you lose, and then leave. Not Tollus, Kasyrra. Said cultists are visibly all demons
So I suppose you think it was Kas who sent them to the Rift to harvest the Lurelings goo and spread it all over the place. do you also think Kas ordered them man the defences at Dracia and smuggle weapons to the imps at KM? What about the full battalions of demons that were at the final battle?
Wrong actually, here are some direct quotes from Kass herself on the matter:
You're first quote is from when you go her route and side with her against Calise so of course she counts it as a win her plan worked exactly like she wanted it to and the first part that you bolded only further proves my point about her needing him to fail so she can take over the cult.
I know those last two are from when he's hamming up her evil villain speech for Kelsaz, but she's not lying. She's already won. It doesn't matter what happens from that point on, her goal was to foil the siege and she did exactly that.
Of course she's lying here. do you know how fucking stupid she would sound if she had said something like "Curse you champion you foiled my plan, now I won't be able to take control the way I wanted. I'll get you for this next time" and then flew off like a crazed bat. She said you and Varena gave her what she wanted as a petty attempt to though suspicion onto you (which a certain someone will capitalize on to have you thrown in prison under certain conditions) because she is in fact mad at you for doing this.
She actually doesn't, because as mentioned in one of the above quotes, she explicitly told her followers that the siege was dumb and that she didn't want to get involved. Did she get involved anyway? Yeah. But everyone already knows that it was Tollus's idea, Tollus who gave all the orders, and thus Tollus who bears the L for failing even if Kass had her thumb in the pie a little.
If Kas told her followers not to do the siege why did they do it anyway? Do you think finding out that she was apart of the massive failure that took place, people will more or less faith in her? Do you think those who followed Tollus anyway are inclined to believe him when he says she's the reason his plans failed? Let's try putting this in perspective, you're one of many troops in a war. your lord tells the army not to siege a city. the Commander does it anyway because he's got the forces the resources and confident you can win and you are confident in him. Things start out going well until someone joins the enemy army and starts beating the shit out of your army and after it's been decimated he rips his helmet off to reveal it was the lord. What explanation would make you believe that the Commander was at fault here and not the lord.
"Yeah I foiled the siege on purpose because fuck Tollus, don't forget who's in charge here bitches."
Now
that would be some shitty writing. If she actually did this and it didn't result in a full on revolt against her I could only label her a mary sue for such dogshit writing.
