For today's entry I have the finished version of my mini comic "Vibe Check"! This started off as some practice art for the Firebrand, and I found out it's a lot of fun to add some dialogue and a rough narrative. If people like this sort of thing I'll be doing more of it in the future!

I've started work on v0.5 of A Very Full House, with the planned headline feature being full quality art for the remaining male NPC, The Jock. Just like my other character designs I've started by doing a rough draft drawing:

I'm happy with how this has turned out, so next up I'll be doing the full quality lineart/flats/shading, then dragging it all into Live2D to rig it up. The Jock's letterman jacket (an American sports ball thing) means I need to commit to a cannonical school name - I'll need to figure out something suitably porn-y without being ridiculous.

In other news, I've been working on a practice project to experiment with some Live2D animation techniques which I'm hoping to show off in a couple of days. If you're a fan of Yark the goblin (or goblin shortstacks in general) you'll want to see what I'm cooking up!

I've got some exciting practice art to show off today! In anticipation of future sex art for A Very Full House I wanted to get some more practice with animation in Live2D. Everyone's favourite goblin cleric, Yark, was pressed into service (in more ways than one) for this short animation!


One of the major technical things I wanted to figure out was how I could add emphasis text - "gag", "plap", "twitch", that sort of thing - on top of an existing model. The technique I used works well enough for non-interactive animations, but I don't think it would work for A Very Full House. I'll need to do some more experimentation before I commit to adding anything like that to my existing animations.

In other A Very Full House news I've finished drawing all of the art for the Jock! Next up I need to bring it all into Live2D, rig him up, and export him into Ren'py. Expect a finished view of that to be my next practice log!

Oh, and if you enjoyed the animation make sure to leave a like or retweet or upvote or whatever so I know it's worth the extra time/effort to make and share!

I'm all finished drawing, rigging, and importing the Jock into Ren'py! Here's a preview of his art, which you'll be able to see in game in v0.5.

Next up I'll be doing a bunch of writing! My patrons voted for some events focused on the girls, so that's what I'll be adding in. I've also been cooking up a new feature that I'm keeping a secret until release. As a little teaser: it's highly modable and related to something you see a lot of in game!

No art OR A Very Full House update today; I have a little more writing to do and then I want to do a bunch of bug hunting to make sure this is a nice stable release. We're solidly on track for a release in 2 days though, so expect that to happen!

(Also, I've been doing some concept sketching for a second part of the "vibe check" comic series. It's got some fun poses in it which were a lot of fun to draw. Expect to see something about that in the near-ish future)

Woo, v0.5 of A Very Full House is out! Normally I'd do a full writeup here, but bug hunting has kept me up later than intended and I really want to get some sleep. So instead I'll just point you over to the patreon release page, which has the changelog and the download links and all that jazz!

Ideally my next bit post will be some more practice art! It may also be about bug fixing. It'll probably be about bug fixing.

I'm sort of double dipping on my practice art post today, but for good reason! I took some time and put down the MCILF workout art I previewed a few posts ago. I'm planning to have this be part 1 of a 2 part mini-comic that's a direct follow up to "Vibe Check".

I also drew the lineart for part 2, but I can't show it off because it's split up into a bunch of layers which don't look right until they're coloured. "Why did you have to split it up into layers?" I hear you ask? Because I'm going to animate it, of course! I'm putting time into these animated practice projects in preparation for adding more animated content to A Very Full House - and because they're just fun to make!

So expect to see more about that in the next couple of posts! I'm also going to be putting up a patron poll soon to see which girl, the Cheerleader or the Firebrand, get's their full quality art added to A Very Full House next!

It's been a productive couple of days, but my attention has ended up split over a whole bunch of different projects. So each of those is now solidly in-progress, instead of having one finished thing to show off. One important thing that I've been working on is the concept sketch for "The Cheerleader" - the next NPC to be receiving high quality art in A Very Full House

I wasn't sure if I wanted "small" boobs (ie. boobs that she could actually put her arms in front of), or large boobs, so I put it to a patron poll. To my surprise small boobs have won (sitting at 80% of the vote, at the moment), and I've moved on to final lineart! I'm hoping to have that finished in the next couple of days!

As a tiny bonus: I'm working on some placeholder at for a side character in v0.6. I'll give you a sneak peek, but only at the top layer of clothing!

And in just a few short days we've gone from concept sketch to finished art! Here's a peek at The Cheerleader!

My original concept sketch had her in normal socks, but I realized that some thigh high socks would A) look great paired with her "just underwear" look, B) add a reference point as her skirt gets shorter, and C) swap perfectly for some fishnets or stockings much later in her corruption journey.

Next up is to pull this into Live2D and rig it up! That normally takes about a day, and then I'm going to spend some extra time doing some new animations for her. I want her to have an energetic, bouncy idle animation, which is probably going to require some experimentation and extra time to get looking juuust right. If I nail it she should have a dynamic, "hyper" energy that the other characters don't have.

Right on time I'm back with an animated Cheerleader!

Link to Imgur, because Live2D spits out huge .gif's (which aren't even very good), and I don't have time to fiddle with it to make something smaller.

I've got a bunch of minor tasks to tidy up now: some clothing code updates, some expression definitions, laying out the image atlas. Once those are done I'll see about adding some other new content to the game. I've got a secondary character I definitely want to introduce, and I'll be putting up a patron poll to help me pick out something else to add; check out Patreon to see what that ends up being!

No art to share today; I did a bunch of writing and a lot of not-quite-finished-yet art, so next time I should have plenty to show off. I was also able to get the Cheerleader added in game and working (including in saved games, which took some extra effort!). Now I'm working on some final content additions for v0.6, which my patrons are currently voting on. It looks like an extra outfit variation for the Cheerleader is going to be the winner, but I'm going to sprinkle in some extra events as well just because.

Back in a few days with some actual art! Also, I'm aiming for some time around the 14th to release v0.6, so stay tuned for that!

I've been busy with code the last few days, so instead of any sort of practice art you get a screenshot!

Now visually this isn't the most interesting screenshot of all time, but there's still a lot of interesting stuff going on, so let's walk through it!

First, we have the first appearance of a new side character, codename: "Busty". I teased her outfit a few days ago, but now you've got a look at her slightly more polished placeholder art. I'm writing a couple of events for her that will show up in v0.6 as well, so look forward to that!

Second, there are more than two characters on the screen! This was where most of my coding work went: digging into the code, adding multi-character support, and then tidying it all up so it's easy to use. It all #JustWorks, so scenes with multiple NPCs should be a breeze in the future. While I was poking around in that part of the code I also fixed up some of the logic for how the "talk focus" effect is applied. It should be a little more consistent now, particularly at the start of an interaction.

And third - although this screenshot doesn't make it very obvious - all of this is running on a save I originally started in v0.2! I was worried keeping old saves running was going to be difficult, but so far it hasn't been an issue.

On the art front, I'm currently working on Cheerleader's cutdown outfit (as per patron request from a recent vote) and it's looking good! I'll have some previews of that to show off in a couple of days!

I'm back today with an art preview for v0.6! Today I'm showing off the cutdown Cheerleader outfit that you will be able to unlock for her.

The goal with the cutdown outfits is to walk the line of "this is reasonable". The minified version (the next step in corruption; not drawn for this update) will take the outfit into "that girl is a tease" territory. The cutdown version is unlocked through a couple of new events once you have the correct corruption level. Each piece of clothing ends up damaged in a different event, so you may end up being able to shorten her skirt before you can cut down her shirt, or vice versa. The events will trigger repeatedly, so if you don't have the stats to modify her outfit the first time through you'll have other chances.

I'm tidying up some new events right now, but I hope that my next practice post will be the release of v0.6! If it isn't it will almost certainly be the post after that one.

A few days ago I asked my patrons to help me design a character, and the results are in! The results were a tall, big breasted, big booty lady who was a little bit Evil and MASSIVELY Chaotic. I decided she should be a tiefling, and got to work for today's practice sketch!

Next up we're going to be picking her skin, eye, and hair colour. If you want to get involved you can check it out over on Patreon.

I'm also experimenting with something new with the background today. Rather than just some solid colours I did a rough background sketch and then fed it through an image to image AI. I'm not going to dive into the whole "is AI art actually art" debate, but for disposable one-off backgrounds I think it's a massively useful (and time saving) tool. Let me know what your opinions on it are; people are very clearly divided about this sort of thing!

True to my word, I've been working on lineart! Here's a peek at the Firebrand with all of her lineart and skin shading finished. Next up is hair and nipple shading, then we're onto face elements!

No art preview today; I spent all of my time finishing up The Firebrand's new model art and don't have any spare time for polishing it to share (there are layer errors, no background colour, inconvenient resolution, etc).

I'm happy to say all of her model art is done though, including expressions and starting outfit! Over the next couple of days I'll get that rigged up into Live2D and exported for Ren'py. In two days time I should have a well put together preview image for her whole model, so look forward to that!

I'm a day late with today's update; Christmas got super busy and I didn't have the time (or the energy) to finish rigging the Firebrand's model until today. But it's done now, so let's take a look!

In addition to the actual art I've also finished some idle and bounce animations for her. Those have turned out to be important, because she's got way more butt than any of the other characters. She needed some extra attention to make sure those cheeks were jiggling in just the right way. Her big booty also helps sell the rotation warp effect; it swings in and out of view in a very satisfying way.

My current plan is to have the update land on January 2nd, which gives me a little less than a week to cram some more content into v0.7 and bug test the whole thing.

Oh, and can we just take a moment to appreciate how far my art skills have come in a little less than a year of full time practice? Day to day it's hard to notice, but here we've got two drawings of the same character and the difference is massive. Little improvements build up if you stay consistent, and everyone starts by being bad at stuff!

Alright, that's enough sappy inspirational BS from me. Back to work!

We're back on schedule after our Christmas upset, hot on the heels of the preview of the Firebrand! I've got a slightly strange art preview for today, but it'll make sense soon. First though, I've been working on the patron requested content for v0.7: a cutdown version of the MCILF's default underwear. There's nothing groundbreaking here: her bra gets smaller, her panties get cut down to a thong, but it's a fun and logical bit of corruption progression.

So what do I have to show off today? A water texture! Just a water texture, actually.

We've got a lot of pool scenes and a lot of shower scenes, so a wet skin "outfit" just makes sense. I was feeling inspired today, so I made one! I don't have it rigged up in Live2D yet, so you just get the ghost version of it (otherwise the incorrect layering makes it look very janky). The actual "wet" bits of the texture are done with a multiply layer, so it should play nicely with the skin tan textures, and any other skin layer textures I add in the future like tattoos.

Both outfits have been added to the boob and butt frames too. I'll be getting those added into their Live2D models tomorrow, and then I think I'll go write some events to make use of both of them! If I have time after that I'll probably add in a minified panties variant as a patron exclusive. I imagine that will have her panties cut down to a thin g-string and her bra reduced to bikini sized cups. That should be fun!

I've got all of my "must-do"'s for v0.7 finished, so I decided to put some time into sprucing up the main menu. First up was to redo that very dated menu title with something a little more stylistically in line with the current game art!

I'm very clearly a better character artist than I am text-writer, but I think it's still an improvement. If the spacing looks a little awkward, don't worry: there are going to be other screen elements that this title is squeezed around.

I had some writers block the last couple of days (which seems to have cleared; I'm writing some Firebrand interactions right now), so I pulled up one of my half-finished drawings and finished it.

It's basically just a butt, from a slightly interesting perspective. It's also been drawn in segments so I can rig and animated it in Live2D. In fact I have rigged it up in Live2D, but I don't have the time to animate and export a good loop, so showing that off will have to wait for another day.

Meanwhile, I've only got a little bit of time left until the release of v0.7! That will be my next "practice" post, so keep an eye out for it!

The big news for this update is the new art for the Firebrand. I'm really happy with how her character design turned out; I think her "vibe" is really clear and carries through all her clothing, pose, etc. There are a couple of new events with her, including the ability to make her do the laundry for you. There's now a cutdown underwear option (unlocked when you make Firebrand do the laundry the first time), and I also found time to add in some wet skin effects for shower and pool scenes.

Now I get to sit back and wait for the bug reports to roll in! Woo!

Oh, and if you're wondering: I did find that time to animate the butt loop. It's now available as an animated phone background if you poke around at Firebrand's computer.

Hey everyone, I'm here with a quick update! I've fixed up a few bugs that showed up in v0.7.0 and released the bugfixed version.

Changelog:
  • - Fixed crash when sending Firebrand to do laundry after arguing with her.
  • - Fixed being able to alter your underwear multiple times.
  • - Fixed cutdown panties not being removed correctly by events.
  • - Added option to have middle click or right click toggle phone UI; other button will toggle Ren'py menu. (Requires restart after change; Ren'py doesn't like changing hotkeys after startup).

I have also just released a collection of useful modding resources: all of the Live2D models, the Live2D animation files, and the photoshop files with the art layers. I hope people find this stuff useful making cool stuff!

[UPDATE: the original package was missing some of the frame models. The link below has been updated and now contains the complete package.]

Modding Resources

No other art update today; I spent my spare time packing up those modding resources. I want to get back to my regular practice though; I haven't been getting as much drawing practice done as I use to!

Speaking of art practice, I'm back with some! Back before Christmas I was running some patron polls to help pick details for a new character in the "Caves of Grothnar" meta-universe. I've finally got around to doing the flats and shading for the last results which had picked (amongst other things) her skin and eye colour!

I've experimented with a couple things here. First, I've done an explicit lighting pass to try and add some colour variation to the skin: a red-ish torch light from above and a blue-ish lantern light cast from behind and to the left. Second, I've overlaid a texture layer to try and give the whole image a little more, well, texture! Let me know what you think about the effects! For comparison, here's what it looks like without either of those effects added:

After finishing my bug hunting for v0.7 I'm spooling up development of v0.8. The keynote feature is going to be a new blowjob frame (and some events to make use of it), so I've started with some experimentation with how that should look!

I've spent the last two days doing the art for the upcoming blowjob frame for A Very Full House. I've finished all of the main art and I'm almost ready to move it over to Live2D and start rigging and animating. The janky layering makes for a poor preview, so I'm just going to skip the art post for today and do a full animated reveal in a couple of days. See you then!

Alright, I'm a tiiiny bit late with my practice log, but I've got fun stuff to show off in exchange. I've been working on the new sex frame coming to A Very Full House, and I can finally show it off in engine! Here are some screenshots!

It took a few extra days to get this frame (mostly) done. There was a lot of tricky warping and pivoting that gave me a model that looks good through it's entire range of motion. After that was the animating step. For previous frames I've relied a lot on Live2D's physics system, but that ended up being a lot less practical for a blowjob frame where there are physical constraints that need to be respected - nobody wants to see his dick clipping outside of her neck!

The basics of the frame are all working now, including an "x-ray mode" that puts his dick and an interior view of her throat on display (just don't ask where her spine is - his dick almost literally the thickness of her neck and compromises needed to be made). Now I'm going to go back and do a second pass to add in some secondary elements: a condom variant for his art, her wet skin texture, ponytail hair, etc. I also need to sit down and write some events to make use of this new art!

So that's what I've been up to!
