Time got away from me and I need to get some work done on A Very Full House, so today's practice only got up to the lineart stage.

A last-minute surge from the A+ crowd meant an update was necessary to my original concept. The (un)reliability of Elf Brand™ condoms is well document, so it's no surprise our elf maiden might be leaving with more than just a good mark!

This drawing ended up having a lot of tricky parts that took some time to get looking right. Unrealistically large cocks means unrealistically open jaws, which I needed to make look hot instead of horrifying. In retrospect I probably could have gone a little more intense with the hip bend, but overall I'm satisfied with how it went. The second dick+creampie was a last minute addition, but it gave me a chance to do a little bit of liquids practice. Bit by bit I'm figuring out how to reliably draw aesthetically pleasing cum.

I took a break from full character drawings to do some anatomy study the last two days. My focus here was to try and some more familiarity with the various key muscles of the arms and torso, particularly how they impact a character's silhouette. Lots of sketching, erasing, studying, and retrying for this - and it's highlighted how badly I need to practice hands!

I was going to do some outfit sketches for A Very Full House and put them up for patrons to vote on, but realized I didn't have any solid character drawings to build them around! So I've decided to fix that with a full body, back and front picture of the main character MILF. The next two days I'll do some shading for it and do some rough outfit sketches!

I promised some outfit sketches, so here they are! I also took the time to shade the base character so we have a pretty naked lady under all of these. If you didn't know, this is related to the porn game I'm making: A Very Full House

I wanted to get some practice drawing girls with a little bit of fat on them and decided it would be a perfect time to break out the classic cowgirl costume. I ended up picking a pose that has her boobs hiding her midsection, so you'll just have to trust that I did the construction for it all! Anyways, here's the lineart+flats for an elf-cowgirl.

In the next couple of days I'll work on the shading and tidy up the details (plus fix her hair; I think the perspective is just a little wrong). Then maybe I'll do a standing version of her so I can get that belly practice I wanted in the first place!

I think I'm going to do another version of this same girl for my next practice piece and try and capture a little more of her midsection. That should also be some good experience trying to stay "on model" while recreating an existing character!

Fairly happy with how this is turning out, but I think the shading step will be the difficult part to get right. We'll see how it turns out in a couple of days!

Completed Elf cow girl! Lots of new stuff going on in this one. First, I finally got that belly practice I wanted! I also used a different technique for the hair/lingerie that let me do the shadows for the white and black areas at the same time. As an added bonus it also makes the shading entirely colour agnostic, so I can go back and recolour any of it and everything still looks correct! It doesn't look right for skintones, but I expect I will use it a lot more for clothing. (Let me know if you want some bikini colour variants just to show it off!). Lastly, I experimented with some emphasis lines to introduce a sense of movement/stress, which I think worked out well!

I think my next bit of practice art will be a sketch/study piece on face construction. I've struggled with drawing faces, particularly in profile, so that seems like a good thing to tackle! Maybe I'll throw some eye/expression practice as well.

I took some time to do some face studies, plus some quick-and-dirty hair styles to go with it. I'm still not 100% happy with the side-on look, but it's getting better with practice. I guess that's the point!

Attempting faces is a good call. The one you posted on Thursday looked oddly flat to me, especially compared to the rest of the body.

IRL stuff kept me a little busy, so for today/yesterday I focused on getting some line art done. I ended up doing a twitch e-girl (actually an elf to stay on brand, but the headphones hide the ears); sloppy art practice will have to wait a few days.

I've taken a different approach to the shading for this practice piece, which means it's taking a little longer than normal while I figure things out. Instead of laying down my shadows with a large soft brush I've tried putting all of them down as sharp regions, then blurring the transition where appropriate. It's really forced me to be aware of the volumes I'm trying to describe and the lighting I'm trying to imply!

Next up is to do highlights (I'll have to experiment to see if I should do them the same way, or use a soft brush + spot highlights) and add some scene details.

Finished up my e-girl art. I'm relatively happy with how the shading/highlighting turned out, but I could obviously still use some practice.

Now I'm going to get to doing some sloppy liquids practice. Maybe we'll see her try and boost those viewer numbers a little bit! Some time in the future I also want to practice a more cartoon-y style with sharp divides between highlights, base tones, and lowlights, so you might see some of that in the next few days.

This should really come together at the shading/highlighting stage - until then the cum is mostly just a shape-correct place holder. Drawing dicks at different angles is also really good for some perspective practice; I should throw some in more often!

Finished with my sloppy gamer girl art! I went back to the soft shading style for this; I think it does a better job for muscles (and butts, and tits), and if I wanted sharper shadows I should do a proper lighting pass over the whole thing. I also tried another cum drawing technique, let me know how you feel about this one, it's a hard thing to get right!

Not sure exactly what I'll do next. I want to focus on practicing colouring/shading, so probably either a simple pose or not a full body picture.

Working with a new skintone pallet today as I try and develop some better colour intuition. This one has a more orange-y mid tone and more purple in the shadows, which I think is looking reasonable! I've shifted those colour towards the red/purple end of things for the nipples and gotten rid of any dividing linework to try and help the breasts feel a little more unified.

I've also taken a slightly different approach with the face and tried adding fewer facial features, going for a more anime style.

I had aspirations of finishing this up completely for today, but I still need to do shading for the apron, bowl, eyes, hair, and then a highlights/details pass. That'll be what I'm doing for my next post!

Finished up the pregnant stay-at-home elf piece, I'm happy with how things came together in the end. Some coloured lineart, a little more pop in the highlights, and details on everything else and it looks a lot more polished!

I'm torn between doing some more pose practice and doing some more skintone experimentation. I might mash those two together and do them both, now that I think about it.

I ended up doing some body type practice. I started with a basic pose (right), then tried warping and redrawing things to make her look taller/shorter/skinnier/fatter. I think I'm starting to develop a little more intuition for it, which is nice!

I had some extra drawing time, so I threw in some quick clothing sketches as well for some variety.

Next up is going to be that skintone practice I mentioned last time!

Skintone practice results! I shaded the first model with my standard skintone pallet, then duplicated the results and substituted in different tones for the base, shadow, highlight, and specular layers. I think having this as a reference will end up being surprisingly useful going forward; I may do a similar study with hair colours later too.

Life has continued to be busier than expected, so I didn't have quite as much time as I would have liked for practice art. I tidied up some of the line art, added some details, and picked out my flat colours for our big tiddy goth elf:

Shading is all done! I really liked how this was turning out, so I put some extra time into it and did a lighting layer to add some crisper shadows and more depth where it belongs. I'm particularly happy with the face - I've struggled in the past with off-angle faces and I think this has turned out decently well.

Not sure what's up next, maybe I'll do another body pose study to get some efficient practice on that.

I decided to do some basic practice and do a bunch of gesture drawings. Each one was 5 minutes with access to the reference picture, plus a minute or two to tidy things up. I normally work from a mannequin, but I did all these from construction to try and develop a more innate feeling for proportions.

I clearly need to do a hand study in the near future - hands are fucking HARD, and trying to do them quickly certainly doesn't make them any easier!

For my last couple of drawings I've been doing a rough construction step at the very start of the drawing. It's helped me identify and fix a lot of problems with proportions and poses (especially with hands when they need to interact with something), but it also takes more time than just jumping into the line art directly. That means I only got some lineart done for my post today, plus a quick greyscale fill.

Another WIP drawing for today. I had hoped to have most of the shading done, but my schedule was a little busy. I settled for getting my colours blocked out and doing the largest bit of shading - the skintone shadows. Next post I'll have it all finished up!

And just like that our elf teacher is all finished up! I experimented with a quick shadow pass as the final drawing step, with the goal of adding in sharp shadows where they are relevant. I'm happy with how it turned out, so I'll probably be doing that more in the future!

I should really spend some time doing studies of hair, hands, and feet... but I also saw a reddit post with a really slutty wedding dress. So I'm probably going to do a slutty wedding next.
