Hey there. So, Im a new player and have just found this awesome game a few days ago. I've created a bunch of characters and have explored the game, trying new things, etc. In one of my playthroughs, I found Minerva. My aim for that playthrough is basically just find and get all Followers and Lovers that I can. Once I found Minerva, I looked her up on the wikia and after reading that she can be taken as a follower/lover, I went and did what it told me to do, which was to repeatedly talk to her until she tells you about the demon inside her. Which I have done over and over again. After reading through her backstory and finishing it, she just repeats it. I have become "Lovers" with her for all intents and purposes, but I cant bring her back to camp. It lists 3 ways to cure her, 2 of them being to get Jojo/Rathazul to cure her, and after that she becomes your lover. I have Jojo and Rathazul as followers however there is no dialogue for them to do anything, and no matter how much I use the boat I cant find Marae which means I cant use the third cure option (the seed) either. I went through the demon factory and used the temporary way to shut it down, however I read that she can be found again but I just cant. This was at the point where I realized that there is content in the wikia that is listed but not actually in the game. I'm just wondering if Minerva's content is finished, or is she a stagnant encounter in the high mountains? I've spent probably 2 hours just trying to exhaust the talk option constantly but I'm still unsure if the Wikia is wrong, Im missing something, or if the game just doesnt contain Minerva as a camp lover yet. Or if that was ever even a thing.  I'm just getting pissed off at this point and I'd just like to know whether or not to keep trying or to stop as the content doesnt exist.

Im using the online version of the game on the fenox.com site by the way, if that matters.

Edit: I just realized no where does it list that she can be taken as a camp member. Fuck. So you cant bring her into your camp as a lover or even a follower. Well that sucks.  Well I still cant purify her so my question still kind of stands.

Methinks you're looking at the wiki for the CoC Mod, an unofficial expansion to the game, which includes some additional content that was cut/never implemented into the official game.

The official CoC wiki can be found here.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh son of a bitch. That's exactly what happened. Thanks for the heads up mate.

With that being the case, do you think getting this "mod" is worth it for the extra content? As in, is it written and functions well?

Some do and some don't.  You should probably try it and decide for yourself.

It does say a lot about the original game content and design that there are so many people that don't want to see it die and want to keep having content for it, so you may want to play a while without the mod, then try it and just go from there.

Yeah I was sort of the same mindset but after reading that the game creator is no longer working on it, and then comparing the wikia to whats actually in the game, it seems to be worth it. A lot of the stuff that the mod has seems to me like it should just be in the base game. Other than that, In the base game lets take Minerva here-Unfinished lover. I mean come on man, you go through the dialogue, she professes her love, but nothing beyond that. She just becomes stagnant. In the mod, you can at least purify her, but even then she's still basically incomplete. I get that the creator has their own  things to do and probably got fed up with constantly updating this game and gave up on it, but still. It's kinda frustrating to a new player seeing a fucking brilliant game fall flat on its ass because of abandonment. I got the same impression with Sheila. Sheila-Professes her love, can have sex or hang out, but cant be taken in as a follower or a lover. For no good reason either. From what i've read, Sheila develops a relationship with the player, however her "captain" says he gives her freedom to have more babies for the village. Well ok. so her reason for not joining is to help the village? Well you did the same with Amily, created an entire race and she still joins you in camp. Sheila can still do the same. It also mentions i think that she looks tired and is exhausted or something the whole time so I get the feeling that she's supposed to be a typical "everyday working mother" type character. Since the game is full of fetishes im unsure if that was meant to be fetish, that you're playing around with a mature woman or something, or if, like Minerva, any further depth of her character was abandoned or never planned. The game is full of really good story man but when I see stuff like this just sitting there waiting to be fixed and explored, it makes me cringe. A great game, but not given enough love. Not to be offensive to the creator, I get they probably put in thousands of hours into the game, and dealt with all the stress of writing and simultaneously coding a text-driven game, but GUHHHHH please why give up when its near finished? Near perfect? Im going to download the mod later, start from scratch and maybe post back.

Fortunately, I have some things planned for Minerva at a point.

Minerva Corruption will come at a point.

Be lucky you're capable of getting Minerva pregnant. You can also get pregnant. Either way, this will result in twin sirens, adding 2 to Children With Minerva in Stats. You can also spend the night with her, sleeping away from camp.

But remember: Minerva dedicking is VERBOTEN!
