Lumia Soul Bind Question

So my favorite build in this game is DawnSword Paladin (spellblade-ish) build and I head-cannon my main character as a devoted Lumian warrior.

That said, I haven’t played recently and am roughly familiar with the lore of valkyries from prior patches, but will the soul bind transformation hard lock you as a female herm/female for it?

I as a hard rule just don’t play female characters and don’t really dig the shemale route either. If you do bind and have your character morphed into a woman/shemale, will there be any customization options to remove said body parts (tits and vag)? I haven’t run a kitsune soul bound character in a hot minute either (it’s just a fuck ton of content to get through and I lost my saves ;- but I DO remember that your body is modifiable at least in some capacity (I don’t remember if changing your gender is possible as I’ve never tried).

All that said, I 100% understand why it would be locked into female/herm as well… the Norse mythology themselves are 100% female so here being a direct reference/correlation would track.

So just for a final clarification, does this disable the option underneath the “options” for Gender? I just checked and if you’re a female PC you can toggle and have yourself referred to as a male irregardless of what the text reads under the info tab.

Even if TECHNICALLY lore wise officially you could say it’s impossible to have a male valkrie. Still, I’d say binding my immortal soul would still elevate me in status comparatively. I’ll just hard pass on the soul bind and rock my normal pronouns as it’s what I’m comfortable with.

MAYBE though I’ll run a shemale wyld elf Ryn focused play-through. Historically I’m not crazy about having a single character that just fucks everyone and everything (male cat courtesan would be the closest), I like to have pretty specified partners for the character as much as the poly thing is cool for some people and lore wise monogamy ain’t a thing for the champion, I still pretty much try to keep them in line with certain NPCs. And Ryn is a hard one cause not only is she pretty needy (cute but needs extra care for obvious reasons, fuck you alissa) but also she lacks the parts to create a royal heir/heiress and as I run solely male characters, so do I lol.

Doubt it’s even a thought, but it would be cool for Ryn to have an option to transform into a Valkyrie, maybe to circumvent not having a vagina. Though granted I’m it sure if she would actually WANT one because I do feel like a part of her arc is becoming comfortable in her own skin and learning confidence so maybe this would be bad for her narratively. I’ll always love her though regardless (and the court of dommy elf mommies).

Based on the Gweyr quest line, Sander I believe sorta becomes very jaded in his youth with her because of the I guess you could call it non-interventionist policy by the gods in general. Well, I say that but for the most part Kero’s interacts heavily with his people just in secret.

I digress, Lumia at least doesn’t just show up when her followers need help and at the time there was a lot of suffering in his life and others which just made him fall out of love I think. Not sure about his swap, BUT Velun is more nature based so it’s a possibility that he just found peace again in his quiet life in Hawkthorne amongst the wilderness.

Take it with a grain though, I usually speed through the dialogue since I’ve played through the quests a fuck ton.

Sigebert was Princess Iveryn's human (and Lumian) husband, and after her death in battle he founded the Order of the Oriflamme - a Lumian paladin order centered in what would eventually become Yvennes - in her honor. That makes him the first grandmaster of the group that Liaden currently belongs to. Lumia also made Sigebert the first Sunbearer, wielder of the Dawnsword. He was one of the greatest heroes of the Godswar, and Sanders (plus optionally Etheryn) gives a brief sketch of his biography in Dawnsword Quest.

High Ground only requires completing Winter Wolf; Liaden's presence is optional, though you'll miss a huge amount of content (and the alternate ending option/access to the Guldring) if you haven't finished Land of Milky Honey then done the followup scene with Lia and Sanders before starting the quest.

Since giving up your soul to, what amounts to, become an intern to all powerful being with some worker benefits, does not seem like the best use of your all powerful essence.

Lifespan among the valkyries has been difficult to gauge. Some valkyries live much longer lives than the average of their race, but others live no longer than normal. Most often, this coincides with their retirement from general duties, or to match the lifespan of a lover.

Since you can't actually use the TF items for Boer'Alvar to change your lifespan sadly
